Just came back from our trip and had an amazing time surfing and going around bali.  We booked our plane tickets last year during the cebu pacific piso fare and booked our hotels via agoda a month before our trip.  We rented surfboards for a few days at 50,000 IDR/per person per day.  This time we didn't hire a driver to go on a tour as we've done the tour last year already (tanah lot is a must see and there are cheap tshirts (last year, shirts were between 13,000-15,000 IDR there that you can buy for pasalubongs) but we ended up renting a scooter (50,000 IDR/per day to go around) and a car (160,000IDR/per day to go to padang padang, dreamland, outlet stores and krisna for pasalubongs.  We can't wait to go back next year!

Hi! My friend and I will be in Bali from Sept 27-Oct 1. Yung Sept 27-28 wala pa kaming hotel. Any recomm in Seminyak na budget?

From Sept 28-Oct 1 naman we're booked sa Hyatt in Nusa Dua. Can't seem to find things to do here except sa beach. Any suggestions?

Looks like renting a car is the easiest mode of transpo no? If that's the case ok ba tong general itin namin? On day 3 lang kami magrrent sana.

Day 1 (1PM arrival time): Seminyak
Day 2: Nusa Dua
Day 3: Day trip to Ubud then back to Nusa Dua
Day 4 & 5 (7PM flight): Nusa Dua

Pa-suggest na lang po ng top places to visit in these 3 areas. Thanks!

^i feel bad for her having experienced that, but i don't think it should be generalized. i mean, if you read all the great experiences here of other travelers, that bad experience may be a one-off.

kasi ako, i traveled to Jakarta and to Bali alone ahead of my friends who arrived on a later date and we just met up in Bali. wala naman akong masamang experience neither in Bali nor in Jakarta even during that time that i was alone.

mas may traumatic experience pa nga ako sa NAIA and from a Filipino traveler pa (that was my worst travel experience). so my point is, if foreigners generalized a "bad" experience of one traveler in the Phils and made that a reason NOT to visit the Phils, that would seem unfair. so just applying the same thought process here.

^oh okay sis. besides, mas mag-enjoy pa nga ang mga bata sa ibang destination. Bali kasi is mas romantic ang feel so mas peg ang lover's retreat. haha

nakapagbook ako ng treehouse at villa sa Bali thru AirBNB and it was okay naman.

Btw, ingat lang sa snatcher kasi yung kasama kong friend, sabay kami naglalakad may naka scooter na humablot sa wristlet wallet nya.

Mga sis, how many hours ride ba from Nusa Dua to Kuta? I wanna go to Waterbom Bali too! We will stay at The Mulia. Maganda ba dun mga sis? So far based sa reviews okey naman eh. Malapit lang ba ang Tanah Lot, Tirta Empul at Jimbaram dun? 2 full days lang kasi kami dun.. libre lang kaya bawal magregklamo. Lol! Turuan nyo naman ako ng okey na itinerary.. based sa backread ko, yun mga sinabi kong lugar ang mga ni-rave nyo kaya yan ang gusto ko puntahan.. kakasya na kaya ang 2 full days dun?

^Nusa Dua to Kuta 30mins taxi lang sis. Madaming maiikutan sa Kuta. Laidback feel siya. Ok ang first day sa Kuta, Tirta Empul then Tanah Lot. 2nd day sa Waterbom then Jimbaran. kasyang kasya ang 2 days if yan lang pupuntahan sa Nusa Dua may parang mall, hidden gem siya. i forgot the name pero mas "sosyal" version siya ni Kuta. Isang mahabang stretch na puro (good) restaurants and shops. Worth visiting parehas

ito itinerary namin sis:
Day 1: Kuta, Uluwatu Temple (super nice), Padang Padang Beach, Rock Bar
Day 2: Ulun Danu Temple, Ubud Coffee and Kopi Luwak Plantation, Taman Ayun, Tanah Lot

you can do this:
Day 1: Tirta Empul, (Taman Ayun - pwede isingit, maganda siya), Tanah Lot sunset, back to hotel/Nusa Dua Mall (Bali Collection)
Day 2: Kuta, Waterbom, Jimbaran (note lang mga 11am pa open ng most shops sa Kuta. pwede lakarin Kuta to Waterbom, mga 1km lang or less) tapos Jimbaran sunset and dinner
