Yes sis, its an ultrasound din naman, mas detailed lang ang CAS..
If habol mo gender lang, you can do ultrasound lang kasi mas mahal CAS.. Siggestion lang

Hello Gtalkers. I am a newbie here. I had my CAS done last August 18 at FriendlyCare Clinic (at 1200 --> 700 yung scan, 500 [textspeak!] PF ni OB) when baby Jihan is 20 3/7 weeks. The scan was completely normal. Yun nga lang nakatransverse lie si baby so di masyadong nakita yung facial structures nya although OB said lahat naman daw ng organs intact. The only problem is yung low-lying placenta ko, na sabi naman ni doc eh pwede pang tumaas as pregnancy progresses.

Kaya lagi kong kinakausap si baby na tulungan nya ko with my pregnancy, kasi as much as possible, NSD lang gusto ko.

just had my CAS at New World Lab-D. Tuazon yesterday and it went good naman. no abnormalities seen and we're having a baby boy.

super excited na tuloy si hubby kasi gusto talaga nya boy, although on both sides gusto naman girl kasi puro boys na lahat ng mga pamangkin ko pati mga kapatid ni hubby. pero thankful pa rin kami kasi normal si baby namin.

nagtaas na din sila ng fee, 1200 na from 900.

^sis, 24 weeks and 1 day ako yesterday, first come first serve sila.

Had my CAS at 27weeks. Not so satisfied! they weren't even able to detect my baby's anomalies. Dun na sa birth nakita. Ang mahal pa naman ng CAS!

^Cebu Maternity. I've been there a couple of times for my ultrasounds during my pregnancy. I don't know why they were not able to detect baby's anomalies... If it's due to his being IUGR (small for gestational age.)

question sissies, paano ginagawa yung CAS? through abdominal ultrasound ba or parang trans-v din? thanks

^sis, thru pelvic ultrasound or regular ultrasound ang CAS.

@nageinna abdominal ultrasound. It's the same as an ordinary ultrasound. The only difference is, they measure baby in details most especially his internal organs and checking if there are any abnormalities. CAS takes about 30mins.

plan to have CAS this saturday at new world makati. 1,200 na nga yung price. included na rin pala dun gender ni baby. my ob (dra. michelle chu) will be the one to do the CAS. excited, at the same time, scared ako. sana normal lahat kay baby.

Sis KagamiChan, if you don't mind, ano ang anomaly ng baby mo na di nila nakita? Natakot ako bigla kasi pwede rin pala na di absolute yung resulta nuon.

Natakot din ako bigla.. yung CAS ko super bilis lang tapos sabi ng OB ko ang mura daw saka di daw lahat ng OB-sono e may skillset to do CAS.. parang gusto ko tuloy ulitin.. npaparanoid ako.

A few sis... his 2-vessel cord, VSD (hole in heart), his bilateral cataracts.

I had mine in UMC-La Salle Dasma. It was done in thirty minutes naman pero ang nakakainis, parang nagpa-practice yung OB na tumingin sa akin. Tapos pinaverify na lang sa Senior OB-sono nila. And while they were doing the CAS on me, they were joking "Ano Doki, i-compatible ko na ito?" Yung tipong di nya alam ang ginagawa nya. I was alone kasi and hubby was not there. Hayyy ngayon natakot ako. I remember when I asked the OB-Sono (yung nagpa-practice), may problema ba anak ko? Hindi sya sumagot. ;-( Huhuhuhu kakaparanoid. Pero kini-claim ko pa rin na Normal ang baby ko ;-)

I had mine here in Marikina... Actually package na siya... 3500 only... 3D4d ultrasound with congenital anomaly scan na and gender identification...  Actually that's the cheapest na alam ko... My son's CAS was perfectly ok, it was done when i was 7 months preggy... Nagawa agad yung CAS but i came back for the 3d4d kase nakatakip ang braso niya sa face kahit nagload nako ng sugars... Tulog na tulog...
