Okay..Br-ing done. hehe..first of all thanks to those who sent us good luck's and God bless for Salma's ballet recital it went well - ang cu-cute ng mga kids!

Grace (domestic diva) - my daughter took her summer ballet class in Pail & Shovel school in cubao, it's a regular school which offered summer classes for kids meron din taekwondo, piano, cooking etc. I chose to enroll her there because the program has 10 sessions lang, since first time lang niya chineck ko muna if okay sya sa ballet, then maybe now that i see na gusto nya talaga saka ko sya ipasok sa Halili (though may bad feedbacks akong mga nababasa, kaso yun ang pinaka-ok na accessible for us).

Jai - I also want my daughter to learn violin, pero ayaw daw nya, ang gusto nya piano. I hope pwede ko pa sya maconvince na violin na lang.. though mababaw lang naman reason ko bakit masgusto ko violin vs. piano hehe

Re: Insurance and Trust funds, sa amin din puro Sunlife kami, hubby and I got it when we were newly married (life insurance), then for Salma yung may dividends that she'll get when she's 18 plus every 2 years meron din sya nakukuha optional yun pwedeng hindi kunin and ipunin na lang, i'm not familiar with the name of the policy type eh. For Soraya, parang mutual funds naman ang essence - iniinvest sa stocks, but at the same time it's still insurance.

Re: schools, kakaloka talaga mga presyo ng tuition fees noh..kaya kami ipon lang ng ipon.

Mommies, san yung Maria Montessori na sinasabi nyo? Kasi diba meron ding Maria Montessori sa QC?

Marose, I also like montessori method for the same reason that you like it. Kahit pa minsan tino-toyo si Salma ko at nagtatamad tamaran, I can still say na naging self reliant sya simula nung nagschool sya, and when her original yaya left at nagkaron na kami ng new HH (i explained to her na hindi na yaya yun, helper na so tawag nya din is "ate" not yaya), since then hindi na sya nagpapatulong magdress up, kumain, magwash etc. dati kasi porque nasanay sa yaya nya lahat inaasa sa yaya. (Okay with what i just said narealize ko blessing in disguise pala na umalis si Yaya hehe..)

Rata, 100+ din sa dlsz. Our friend's daughter is starting there in june. Kinder yata. Last school year she went to immaculate, yung malapit samin. Eh ang counting daw hanggang 10 lang ang alam kaya lipat nila to dlsz.

Montessori din gusto ko pero ayaw ko nga munang isipin yan. Basta VUL lang ng VUL para may pang college.

Money ni b ngayon nasa SA na ITF lang sa bpi family. Iniisip nga namin kung san maganda ilagay, kung sa VUL din. VUL kasi for b's education samin din ipapangalan kasi we also need the additional insurance component to cover us.

Inggitera nanaman ako sa bbm. I chose between a bb and an iphone4. Chose the latter kasi wala naman ako ka-bbm. eh ngayon sana meron na.

yung isang VUL na inoffer sakin nung agent ko sa Pru, about education.. kahit kay V nakapangalan, ang insured ay ang payor. so kung may mangyari sa nagbabayad, considered paid na mga premiums and V will get the sum assured.. hindi ko lang masyado pa gets kung anong difference nun kung sa pangalan ko na lang ilalagay.. wala pakong time pagaralan yan hahahaa baka pagkatapos ng bday ni V.

Grabe ila G sa AC umabot na lampas 100 mag count!  Nung naghahanap ako ng toddler school na regular (kasi TU sa Alabang malayo), I also checked Kidsville sa Canada St ata, sabi nung owner na kausap ko, they teach the kids daw how to count until 10. My gulay!  Alam na ng anak ko yun that time!  Baka ma-bore haha.  Si Destructo, he can count imperfectly until 10...sa kaka akyat baba lang ng stairs yan haha.

Yung iphone4 daw eh madali uminit? Yung sister ko sa Clorox sa US, pinalitan daw BB nila to iphone4 din.

maussie - yap 147T actually yung tuition sa Maria montessori, for age 21/2 yan to 3 1/2 yan.   Wala pang school supplies, uniform, as in tuition lang. Tapos every year nagtataas ng 20T dahil sa fee na nakalimutan ko na.  Nagpost ako before ng details e as in kung pano nag arrive sa 147T. Kakaloka ang cost pero kayanin sana namin

IMO, it's not the counting per se that is important.  It's how the child associates the number with its corresponding value.  Alam nga ng bata mag-count up to 100, but does the child know that 100 is greater than 10?  What is the difference between 9 and 99?

Sa Montessori, they do not really recite or count the numbers without materials.  One of the materials they use in arithmetic is the number rods.  The rod for 20 is longer than the rod for 10, the rod for 30 is longer than the rod for 20.  Decimal system kasi ang basis kaya by 10s.  That's why the child gets the concept of small and large numbers.  Mas may meaning ang numbers rather than merely counting them by rote.

Rata, di ko alam yung annex. Basta yung malapit samin sa savio st. Saw TU's website nga din dati. Consider ko din yan. Pero tsaka ko na kakaririn.

Jai, sa sun life ganyan. If in the name if the child and the payor dies, fully paid ba. But no extra proceeds. If in my name for example, if and when i die, may insurance proceeds that go to thd beneficiary plus whatever the investment component had earned. For now, we think better tgat we cover ourselves muna para just in case mawala kami agad, may mapupunta kay b or sa kung sino man maging guardian niya. Then eventually kuha kami in her name. Sabi masi ng agent di pa naman kailangan ni b ng insurance so if ever we get for her in her name, minimum insurance coverage to maximize investment.

Importante din that you and hubby are covered. We need to increase our coverage kasi 1.5mil pa lang ako, si hubby 1mil. VUL ang kanya (sun life's maxi prime) and traditional term insurance from  Manulife ang akin. Next na kukunin namin maxiprime ulit for each of us kahit tig 500k lang muna tapos dagdag ulit later on.
