I used to get from an agency, but now from referrals na lang, though mas matagal makakuha, esp now shortage daw kasi ang mga yayas coz ang daming dragon babies pinapanganak.

and my baby is one of them.. hehe. Swerte daw kase ang dragon baby. Bat nag opt ka sa kakilala nalang sis? 3 months na ko halos nagpapahanap sa mga kakilala ng yaya or kasambahay till now wala parin.. lumabas na baby ko at lahat wala paring yaya or kasambahay.

Baka may marefer kayong all-around. Walang baby aalagan. Sa bahay lang talaga.  Sa pampanga yung location

Nakakuha ako dati ng yaya sa Zamboanga referral ng kumare ko, ok naman since umuwi na yaya ko, kuha ulit ako ng Zamboanga.

Just last week super in need na talaga ako ng yaya kasi kumare ko from Zamboanga wala na ring makuha, good thing our neighbor also have HH then she referred her friend to me then kinabukasan agad nasa house na!galing!

Our new HH came from antique but she stayed in her sister's house in Pampangga kasi naghahanap talaga siya ng mapapasukan that is why nung tinext ko siya sobrang gusto niya agad lumuwas, ok naman siya masipag at mabait, so far hindi pa rin full trust ang binibigay namin sa kanya kasi baka magbago at least time will only tell kung talaga mapagkakatiwalaan talaga siya.

^most of my maids are from antique since my mom's family is from there. Ok naman. Some of them though you just have to remind about hygiene, lalo na those na bagong luwas and no experience in working in MNL. Like ilang beses ko nang na-encounter na Kung anong pinampunas sa dining table eh yun din ang pampupunas sa sahig. Gross. Pero, as what my mom has been telling me, Iba standards ko from those barrio people. But bottom line, they're trainable naman.

We just get from referrals - it feels safer that way because it's usually a kakilala of someone..

I don't trust agencies much because I don't think they do background checks naman so you're just playing Russian roulette.

i need a yaya also, baka may referrals kayo dyan sisters.. i asked my friends mahirap daw maghanap. eh i coudn't think of anywhere else to find but here hehe ayoko naman sa agency kasi i'm new at this i don't know who to trust. light lang magiging load ng yaya if ever for my 6mos old son, minsan in bulacan minsan in QC based. please pm me if you have referrals.. thanks!

sa mga referrals, do you also pay some amount sa nagrefer sa inyo ng yaya?  mostly kasi, kilala lang natin yung nagrefer.  sa umpisa, di ko ginagawa ito until my dad suggested. i am not sure though kung ganon ba talaga.

I just got my unborn baby a yaya.. For now sa house muna sya habang nakaabang, para makita ko din ba kung ok sya.. Ususally kinukuha ko ang yaya through referral from tauhan din.. I got the yaya now from daddys mechanic.. At ang dami ko ding relatives na nagpapahanap.. Yung isa pang yaya ng 1st baby ko naubos na ang marerefer

Yung first Yaya ni Aidan, sister in law siya ng katiwala namin sa province. Kaso may family siya and may mga maliliit pa na anak so she had to leave para alagaan mga anak niya. Yung 2nd naman, galing din sa amin sa province. She also left because she had to go back to school. Bata pa kasi yun. The 3rd yaya who is still with us for more than 2 years e distant relative namin.

Natatakot ako kumuha ng yaya sa agency. Kasi hindi ko alam yung family background. kahit pa sabihin na may interview and bio data. Iba parin yung kilala mo talaga.

for me there's no difference kung from agency or from referral. hindi mo rin naman kilala yung nirefer sa iyo eh. hindi rin naman naga-guarantee ng nagrefer na ok nga ang binigay nya eh.

from experience, walang difference ang 2 yan. helper ko ngayon sa bahay came from an agency, she's the most OK among all the helpers I've hired, and to think mostly were referrals.

^I agree 100%.  Kami rin mas may swerte sa mga galing sa agency, although trial and error din most of the time before finally finding the right one.

Very true.  4 ata mga nirefer sa amin, puro sakit sa ulo.  sayang din kung nagbabayad, kung hindi tatagal.  kaya minsan naisip ko, gawin ng mga conditions din ang mga referrals.  like i would just pay the person who referred the HH to us kung umabot ng 6 months. 

madalas may mga matitinding issues nirerefer sa amin.
