Driver's License: student permit, non-professional, professional

got my student's permit last wednesday and i was surprised na super bilis lang pala ng process. i left the house at around 3 pm and got home around 4 pm. natuwa lang ako kasi this is one of the rare times na sandali lang ako nag transact sa government office.

Hi mga sis question naman po, kapag nakakuha na ko ng student permit wait pa ng one month before applying for non-pro, what if after a year ako apply ng non-pro mageexpire ba yung student permit? based sa abroad kasi ko and yearly lang uwi ko and saktong 1 month lang talaga vacation ko kaya di ko makakuha ng non-pro right after ng student permit.

^sis, one year ang validity ng student permit, basta hindi mag-eexceed don, pwede ka ng kumuha ng non pro, kapag lumagpas ka, kuha ka na lang ulit ng student permit

Non-Prof. your SP should at least be 1 month old to upgrade. For Prof. you need to have a least a valid SP at least 5 months old.

Hi sis! Would you know of a driving school that offers non-pro licensing assistance, wherein pwedeng hindi i-take yung practical driving exam?

I'm not sure if policies have changed now or if LTO has become stricter, but it seems that even people who course their driver's license applications through driving schools now need to take the practical driving exam? Unlike before wherein people who apply with the help of driving schools can forego taking the practical exam.

I inquired with both SMART and A1, and they said that the practical exam is still required.

Recently lang ba kumuha yung friend mo ng non-pro through A1? Saang branch sya ng LTO kumuha? And also, anong course yung kinuha nya sa A1 (if any)?

I called kasi the customer service of A1, and sabi nila they offer licensing assistance (1,800 for non-pro) for A1 students only. Tapos paulit-ulit ko pang tinanong if kekelanganin parin talaga i-take yung practical exam, oo daw. I'm not sure if standard answer lang nila yun, pero pag dating naman sa LTO pwedeng hindi na talaga, or if yung mga kumukuha ng license ngayon, pinapa-practical exam na talaga regardless of kung may assistance from a driving school.

Nanghihinayang kasi ako magbayad ng extra sa driving school para magpa-assist sa license, if I still need to take the practical exam parin pala. Gusto ko sana yung assured na mawa-waive na yun completely.

Nung kumuha kami ng license non..ni hindi namin nakita na ginamit yung rental car sa exam...lol..sa lto pasay naman yun

Ngayon mga sis may tanong ako...ang nakuha ko is non pro restriction 4...pwede ko pa ba yun mapapalitan to restriction 2? Hindi ko pa nakukuha mismo ang license ko temporary receipt palang kasi walang available kanina na ID e..

Kaso, I was wondering about having a non-professional license. I want sana ng wala ng written exam and practical exam eh. Will A1 fix it nalang for me? I will just add additional nalang if ever haha. Saka pag A1 ang mag accomodate, madali nalang ang license processing?

RC-4 means you can only drive a car with an automatic transmission, you can't drive a car with a manual tranny. When you applied, did you specifically told them you are driving an automatic car? You may request a change of restriction but since it is already under processing, you might need to take another exam.

If I were you take the exams, it's plain, practical and easy to pass, we already have a lot of drivers out on our roads that are not qualified to drive because they don't go through the right process of acquiring their licenses.

You can't avoid taking the written exam.  Madali lang naman yun.  You can find sample questions online. As for the practical exam, I don't know if you can skip it.  I availed of A1's "assistance" when I got my license ages ago.  I paid a certain amount for that service, I forgot how much.  What they actually did was give me sample questionnaires to study before I took the written exam and I didn't have to take the practical test.  May binabayaran yata silang tauhan dun sa LTO kaya hindi ko na kailangan magdrive.  I'm not sure ko nangyayari pa rin ito ngayon.

Hello! Kakabayad ko lang ng fee sa A1 of about 1,800 pesos! Okay naman haha. Sana makuha ko na driver's license ko next year pa kasi wala pang 1 month yung student permit ko. Thanks sa guide sis!

^ were you able to get your license na? may practical exam pa din kahit nagpa-assist ka sa A1? I'm planning to get mine next week, also thinking of seeking assistance from Smart where I had my driving lessons pero not sure kasi kung may practical exam pa din kahit may assistance from driving schools na. ^^sis scruffs, one valid id lang na may birthdate or NSO, copy lang naman, but bring the original na din and application form. I think it's still Php 318.00

^^sis I got a non pro license. I still took drug test. Baka you're referring to student permit? If so, as far as I can remember wala drug testing dun.
