yes Jessica Zafra is the first Filipino author na na-appreciate ko talaga..i bought all her Twisted books and Flip. yung Twisted 6 is paulit-ulit ko na din nabasa. Minsan nga after reading an article parang i'll tell myself "i wish I could have written something like that". The irony and sarcasm in every article is what makes it not boring to re-read. Tapos parang may nabasa ako somewhere na siya daw yung Woody Allen of the Philippines kaya ayun, napabili din ako ng book ni WA.

Exactly, ilang beses ko na din naisip before na sana I could write like her, she's so smart and funny, ang original ng writing niya.  She used to do a radio and a TV show years ago, and I wish she would go back to doing that, she deserves more exposure.  She's definitely a whole lot smarter and more interesting than some of the people on TV and radio right now.

^my thoughs exactly sis. Per I noticed parang commercialized na rin sya ngayon 'no? Unlike before na nagsusulat lang sya ngayon ang dami na ring advertisements lalo na sa blog nya. Well, we must make money at some point. And may mga upcoming lectures sya aatend kami ng ate ko!

On topic: Im reading Ilustrado by Miguel Syjuco. Dyuskopo Miguel nosebleed hehe

^ Yeah, kailangan niya kumita lalo na since artists usually e freelance sila, madalas wala silang retirement plan or HMO coverage.  Will check out the sked of her lectures, thanks for the info    hehe, hindi nga feel-good novel yung kay Syjuco, at times nakakatamad basahin lalo na pag gusto mo ng happier fare.  Maybe it would help if isipin mo siya as parang gossip/news show, and try to guess kung sino yung mga characters in real life, hehe, parang blind item/tsismis mode

^kawawa naman mga writers natin, nung na hospital nga si Jessica Zafra i felt bad since isa talaga sya sa magaling na writers locally tapos wala siyang medical insurance.

Anyway, currently reading: Project 17 by Eliza Victoria, di pa ko tapos pero ang ganda, sci fi siya na parang dystopian, astig! Hopefully matapos ko ngayong week!

^ Ang mahal pa naman, Makati Med kasi and ang daming expensive tests na ginawa.  I'm glad she's doing better now and she's back to writing.  I do wish na magkaroon ang writers and other artists natin ng more protection like HMO coverage.  Mas mahal kasi kung individually sila kukuha, but maybe if they banded together and got group coverage e mas affordable to for all of them, like what some unions in other countries are doing.

Ang ganda ng Si Janus Silang at ang Tiyanak ng Tabon ni Edgar Calabria Samar! YA na fantasy series. Isa pa lang ang nilalabas, sa November 2014 yata ang pangalawang libro

Yup, Canal de la Reina is a must-read novella if you're into Tagalog novellas. Yung nga lang may pagka-timely siya. It was written kasi during Martial Law kaya kung mapapansin niyo may mga hidden propagandas yung ilang parts ng novel.

Gahd, I can't even remember the last Filipino book I bought. Yun kay Sir RB ata.

Have a collection of Zafra's Twisted. Masaya yun una but then nun tumagal, meh na. There was even one na halos sumuka na ako sa artiks nya about her latest gadgets. Anyway, I still think she's witty. 

I adore Lualhati Bautista! Super!

Gusto ko rin works ni Amado Hernandez! GUsto ko hanapin yan Canal de la Reina, yan mga tipo ko if it's a bit progressive.

Puros from Wattpad na lang ata binabasa ng mga bata now.

I have books written by Bob Ong pero ang favorite ko talaga yung ABNKKBSNPLAko?! Laugh trip at makakarelate ka sa ibang stories. Isa pang gusto ko yung Parang Kayo Pero Hindi by Noringai. I'm sure maraming matatamaan dito lol. Yung mga more than friends but less than lovers ang peg haha.

And my bf just bought me Besties by Solenn and Georgina. I love this book! Iba iba yung topics from self-confidence to love and friendship. Ganda rin nung mha photos nila
