I love Lualhati Bautista's novels during my college days- I even chose Bata Bata Paano Ka Ginawa? for my final paper.   Plus, other UP novels/plays -I forgot the titles.

Napansin ko nga puro foreign authors lagi ko binabasa lately. Napadpad lang ako sa Phil publication part ng bookstore during my early college days nung na-discover ko si Jessica Zafra. I have all Bob Ong books and Jessica Zafra's TWISTED collections & Flip book. Also have compilation of Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Award for Lit Short stories 1980s(orange book). I've read before yung The last Time I saw Mother ganda lang

 I have Jessica Zafra's Twisted 6.
 Bitbit ko lagi and i try to read at least one item habang nasa byahe ako going home from work. The book is old, topics are obsolete na but i really like how the author writes; bata pa 'ko inaabangan ko na mga articles nya sa newspaper.

Sad lang kasi jessica is sick; she's in the hospital and seeking for help.
Di ko lubos maisip na someone like her is walang health insurance (sorry off topic na)

Jessica Zafra's books are a good read, she's very funny and smart   I haven't read the last 2 books in the Twisted series yet, but I'll get around to that soon.

I read one of Ambeth Ocampo's books and enjoyed it, it was really interesting and fun.  My officemate asked me why I was reading a history book when I wasn't in school anymore, and when I told her that I was actually enjoying reading it, she looked at me like I was crazy.  She's missing out on a good book.

yes Jessica Zafra is the first Filipino author na na-appreciate ko talaga..i bought all her Twisted books and Flip. yung Twisted 6 is paulit-ulit ko na din nabasa. Minsan nga after reading an article parang i'll tell myself "i wish I could have written something like that". The irony and sarcasm in every article is what makes it not boring to re-read. Tapos parang may nabasa ako somewhere na siya daw yung Woody Allen of the Philippines kaya ayun, napabili din ako ng book ni WA.
