I have my own boxing gloves and sparring equipment. I do it with hubby at least once or twice a month, planning on doing it weekly.

^speaking of, ano ba magandang brand ng gloves na medyo mura lang? Ang mahal ng tinitinda sa Elorde eh, more or less 3k. Ganun ba talaga ang presyuhan kahit sa labas? Saka baka may maganda naman na hindi ganun kamahal..

Honestly sis, I go for comfortable and durable gloves. These are the brands I've tried and will  recommend - Twins (Php 2K-3K for 8-10 oz sizes), Windy (same price range with Twins) and Fairtex (3-4K). Mine were all bought internationally. Although I've seen some from Chris Sports, JB Sports in Glorietta and MOA before.

^sis, ayun nga di ko sure kung ano din ang magandang brand.. sometimes kasi kahit mahal, di pa rin ganun kaganda ang quality. tsaka I don't know din what is comfortable when it comes to boxing.. sasakit at sasakit pa rin ang kamao at braso ko dun kahit anong gloves ang gamit (I think) hehe, baka sa durability nga lang magkakatalo... Though baka pag sinuot at ginamit mo, iba siguro yung feeling. Currently nanghihiram muna ako sa kanila (pero may sarili naman akong wrap). Napansin ko na yung skin sa ibaba ng nails ko, natutuklap kase siguro sa pagsuntok, parang nababanat sya.

TWINS nga din yung binebenta Elorde.. siguro yun ang recommended nila.

For gloves, Thai brands will never disappoint. My first pair was Twins and it lasted me 15years, hindi parin siya sira till now but i had to discard it because it doesn't smell good na. Fairtex is also good, tight fit, nice design, matibay. but if you want a pair with very good knuckle protection and wrist support, go for Top King boxing gloves.

Don't scrimp on your gloves because it protects your hands, I have seen cheaper gloves for less than P1k (methinks) and it looks like a light bulb, pati thumb placement parang mali.

Hi sis! Best not so scrimp on hand wraps and boxing gloves. I'd rather spend a little more on my equipment than end up with an injury Medyo biased ako to Thai brands though because I was influenced by my sister who's been training muay thai for years. The more affordable gloves carried by local sports stores are synthetic leather or made in China. Ok lang siguro for starters, but if you want to pursue boxing talaga, invest on good quality equipment so it will last for years!

Recommended brands are Twins, Fairtex, Top King and Windy. Price range 2k-4k depending on size and design. I have tried the first 3 brands. Highly recommended and Top King if you want excellent padding and knuckle protection. Very common kasi yung blisters and nagbabalat na knuckles if you train regularly. Only Top King has helped solve that problem for me. Hope this helps!

wow, thanks so much mga sis! sige, i'll invest na rin on buying a good brand. Mas ok na rin nga yun kesa magka-injury naman. I'll go and check them out this weekend. Sana makakita ako ng magandang deal.

iba iba rin pala ang quality ng handwrap? I just bought mine at 275 php, Titans yung brand. Sa Friday ko pa magagamit.

^yes! There are elastic and non-elastic hand wraps. Length also varies from 3.5 meters to 5 meters. My favorite brand is Windy. I like how it stays put, tama lang yung length and yung thickness ng material. They also make very nice colors.
