govt agency sa makati

nung pumasok ako as clerk 2 maliit nga lang ang sweldo ko, 6k ata ang sweldo ko nun. contractual ako under kami ng dpb nung una kasi pinaprocess pa iyong application namin at on-going pa rin ang hiring process. after almost a year naging direct hired pero contractual pa rin. pending na kasi nun ang papers namin. tapos na-regular din ako after few months. nung time namin wala sa aming nabanggit na probationary kami pero ngayon meron na atang probationary period na six months. so iyong mga benefits ng regular employees di muna makukuha ng "bagong" regular.

ngayon halos puro mga officer level ang inoopen na positions so mas mataas ang sweldo nun. dapat nga lang mameet mo iyong requirements like csc eligibility, trainings and work experience.

salary grade level depends on the government agency that you work for. sometimes, it varies. that is why they are proposing for a salary standardization in the govt and the rationalization plan. i just don't know if that would still push through.

all positions in the government requires civil service eligibility, except for jobs like drivers, messengers etc. positions like clerical requires sub-professional eligibility while officer level positions or technical positions require professional eligibility, years of experience and relevant trainings.

di ba meron na sa tesda na counterpart ng CS exam?

yup sub-professional exam ang equivalent ng sa tesda.

tanungin ko ang friend kong kumuha nun. di kasi sya nakapasa sa csc sub-pro kaya sa tesda sya kumuha ayun pumasa naman, pero medyo may katagalan na rin kasi nung kumuha sya.

i'm on my mid-20s, i want to work sana with an environment na marami na almost same as my age... may gantong departments ba sa government offices?

hmm...i dont know, pero halos lahat mga officemates ko e nagsisipaglipatan sa mga private companies.

for me, mabagal ang asenso pag ikaw ay govt employee. hindi kase agad maiincrease ang salary mo, may mga sinusunod na batas yan. yes, may mga incentives and other benefits pero yung basic salary maliit lang din. pero kung sa province ka nakatira puwede na din.

kung pangarap mo sigurong tumanda sa pagwowork swak ka sa govt., tama, hindi ka pressured sa work at mon-fri (8am to 5pm) lang. magaan kumbaga.

btw, 10 years na ako dito sa Institute namin....so yung mga nasabi ko ay based on my experience...

Here are some tips if you want to work in the Government:
1. Look for GOCCs, GFIs and other government corporations rather than Line Agencies, Deparments and LGUs.

2. GOCCs, GFIs and chartered bodies pay higher than other entities as they do not rely solely on the national government for their budget.

3. Highly specialist fields (geologist, biologist etc.) have bigger travel opportunities.

4. Government works are not free from office politics (just like anywhere else).

5. There is a bigger chance of getting foreign scholarships finance by world organizations (JICA, ADB, WB, UN) if you work in the Gov't.

Personally, gusto ko din sa Government kasi mas mataas ang status at ang pay ng librarian sa mga government agency compared sa private. Ang target ko sana sa House of Representative, walk in po ba dapat dun? May license po ako saka civil service eligible din po ako professional

kittenchi17 - unwritten rule sa House of Rep ang "endorsement letter from your district representative".  Mahirap ang allotment ng item dun, and kung may item man usually sa budget committee di nakakalusot.  So if you really want to apply better ask your congressman for an endorsement.  Good luck!

kami last week pa may midyear bonus
