When I was on maternity leave, I was so bored at home especially kase on Zoe's first 3 months, tulog sya halos the entire day. But nung bumalik na ko sa work, gusto ko naman sa house lang so I can spend time with Zoe. Sometimes I feel guilty na pag Saturday morning, nags-sleep ako cus parang nananakawan ng time si Zoe.

Regarding budget naman, yung budget namin for Zoe's party will be coming from our joint account. It's true din na pag may sariling work, you have more money for luho. Ganyan ako for the longest time kaya naiinis ako non when people say na ang luho ko at kawawa naman daw hubby ko. Hello, I buy my own clothes, shoes, make up and other stuff. Chaka I know I'm smarter than that kaya  nga may savings ako para pag may desperate lust ako for something eh hinde ko kelangan umiyak kay hubby hahaha (although it works din most of the time).

Next month, big day na nya. After that, hindi na kame monthly magcecelebrate. Hehe.

@icee star, welcome!

Pia, as usual contra si husband.  He said unahin daw ang swimming lessons.  I got excited pa naman sa football lessons (by the way,I am referring to soccer, not American football) at ang son ni Kim, aka mom of inchikoy, mag-enroll din.  But the kids said they want to try swimming lessons.  May conflict sa sked kasi so they cannot have both football and swimming lessons.

I am a big football fan kasi.  Last year nga, World Cup ang party theme ng party ng kids ko.  I don't care much about basketball and the NBA.  But for football, I am willing to wake up at 3 am to watch important games!  My favorite teams are  s Barcelona and the Spanish national team, at si Fernando Torres ang favorite player ko.  Pia, laking sisi ko now na Hindi ako nag-watch sa SG in 2008 when Liverpool came there for a friendly match with a local team.  I also support the Azkals.

Aside from GT and Facebook, naka-bookmark na sites ko are BBC Sport, Goal.com, Guardian Football and other football-related sites hehe, addict!

Grayce, if you are breastfeeding, I suggest you introduce the bottle between 6-8 weeks old or when your supply is already established.  If you introduce too early, baby might get nipple confusion. Choose the slowest flow nipple.

Kristine, happy 11th month to Kenzo.  Lap it na pala ang first birthday niya.

LOL!! i think she is!!!!!

Dapat careful pa talaga at this stage.

Example humingi ang bata ng chocolate, bago bigyan sabihin ask your mom/dad if you can have some.

Grayce, my baby never fed from me directly. Never kami nag-succeed sa latching. She started on formula on her 4th day of life pero cup-fed. She started with the bottle on her 5th day. She's mixed-fed up to now, expressed breastmilk and formula. Wait mga 6 weeks before you introduce the bottle.

Question. What does it mean if a school is accredited/certified by the international baccalaureat (sp?) org? My cousin's daughters go to beacon sa pasong tamo. Traditional method of teaching pero IBO accredited/certified. I want to know sana what the difference is from progressive and which is better?

Mga reasonable distance and travel time.

Sis Lisa, may idea ka how much tuition fee sa kidsville? Masarap ba food dun? Burgers and tacos dun diba? Affordable ba? Hehe.

Yung handa every month, cake and pasta and 1 ulam lang kame madalas. Basta yan, every month meron. Hehe.

May kwento lang ako.

Just recently, my bestfriend in the US found out she's pregnant (after totally giving up na). Mejo feel bad lang sya kase her parents still refuse to visit cus they're very dedicated to their ministry. So my bestfriend and her hubby has started asking day care centers around kase max of 2 months after delivery lang ang ML nya and day care centers are crazy expensive, cheapest they found was $211/week. So na-curious ako what they do at infant daycare centers and I searched the net and saw a website. It had a virtual tour of what activities the infants do at the daycare and na-sad ako pagka-watch ko. I think they do an excellent job at taking care of the babies pero they're so young pa tapos naiiwan to strangers who would feed, bathe, play with, and read stories to them.

Kaya I thank God for every minute that I get to spend with my girl.

Good morning mommies!

Re working - korek kayo diyan! mas maganda may sariling pera. LOL! Or minsan, I tell him 5K lang ang bayad sa ganito pero totoo eh 10K! LOL! ;D

Re solid foods - I started reading na din ano pwede ibigay kay baby, halos 1 month to go na lang 6 months na siya. Nag-take down notes na ako mga pwede and mga i-ask ko sa Pedia on our visit on baby's vaccine schedule.

Re party planning - nae-excite ako sa Fairyland theme, I have been reading through the net and dami pala magagawa. I hope talaga si PC ang mag-cater para pagawa ako table centerpiece and other anik anik (pa-borrow marose) LOL! I want to play with baby pink, cream/light yellow and green colors sa venue.

Kahit late na, happy 11 month birthday Kenzo!  ;D

Lisa and Jen, iba kapag professional videographer ang gumawa!  Uulit-ulitin ninyo panoorin tapos ang reaction ng kids kapag old enough na sila to watch their birthday video is priceless.

Meron kasi akong non-negotiables like the photo and video. I also ask my mom if willing siyang hati kami, for example, sa birthday cake.  So yung original budget ko nadadagdagan kasi may kahati ako.

Sa mga magpaplano ng party, it is never too early to plan.  Mas gusto ko ng early planning, say 9 months, because I can schedule the payments. Usually ang caterers nag-i-increase middle of the year (in the case of PC).  Same with hosts and magicians.

Lisa, regarding IB schools like Beacon - super mahal diyan and Brent.  May bond pa yata.  Anyway, ang advantage na nakikita ko is since international ang curriculum, pareho ng curriculum sa ibang international schools.  So hindi mahihirapan ang student na mag-transfer to a school in another country, if in case mag-migrate ang family, or mag-college sa ibang bansa.

The teachers present the lessons differently and individualized ang instruction. Kaya usually small ang class size because the teacher has to really know and anticipate the needs of each student and make a lesson plan to fit that student's needs, at the same time, kailangan din nila ma-fulfill ang DepEd requirements.

Sa ngayon, nakikita ko ang advantages ng progressive, or in the case of my sons' school, Montessori, method.

LOL! Ako din, early planning talaga ako. Some find it OA, pero kiber ko ba!

:o pero in fairness, pangarap ko talaga na if girl anak ko eh I'll send to Poveda. Di bale, 3 years from now pa naman yun. I have a cousin na pinag-iisipan if PhilSci or IS isesend ang anak since kaka-graduate sa Elementary, alin ba okay for both? Alam ko PhilSci is super okay kase dun galing OB ko, and IS naman, aside from mahal...Social? I don't know though if okay ang turo. Tuition daw sa IS is 900K  :o

Oh marose, where do you plan to send the boys na niyan?

Trivia:  did you know that Dr. G sends her son to Ateneo kahit na sa Alabang sila nakatira?

She even pulled out her eldest son from Ateneo ha and nilipat sa Centro. Mukhang very smart. ;D

Spoilt kami for choices.  Binabasa ko ibang threads like Preschools in Makati, etc., tapos parang ang hirap ng mommies makahanap ng school for their kids na pasok sa budget and requirements.   Kaya kahit malayo from Makati where hubs and I work, gusto ko sa amin dahil nga sa schools.

i have been researching on beacon for the longest time..
they still have the campus in pasong tamo? i thought they opened the one in laguna na and transferred there.. i knew about that schoool because i read marketmanila's blog and director yata sya dun.

may cambridge din sa atc... don pumapasok ang unico hijo nung friend ko.. rave reviews sya.. pero at the time na nag-usap kami.. hinde ko masyado inintindi ang kwento nya and eventually forgot the details kasi binyag pa lang ni gianna nun so malayo pa yon sa isip ko..

reb..
hahaha! i could be your mean sister!! joke!.... im pakialamera pero in a good way (meron bang ganun?)... my brother's wife is a push over.. i steam roll her and my brother all the time! mas strong personality ko kasi kesa sa kanila eh.. pero noon yon...nagbago na ako kahit papaano...now i just give suggestions hahaha! syempre! but i draw the line sa pakikialam sa "mana" .

tin
happy birthday kenzo!!!

twelvth-g
that's the main reason why we didn't push through with our immigrant papers to canada.. the timing wasn't right..maski na i-max namin ang months before we submit the papers for approval.. maliit pa din si gianna...sino mag alaga sa kanya? day care? no way! eh may mga trabaho din mga kamaganak namin don.. lalo pa mag start pa lang kami doon.. leaving gianna in manila with the grandparents was not an option...we so decided not to go through with it muna..

And it's a good exercise for our lungs pa.. Ako naman sa CSA ok na ako doon (kasi that's where I graduated and lahat kami magpipinsan and mga anak nila ngayon and ate ko din from kinder to HS) if I were to send Kyle sa school dyan.. Nanghihinayang ako sa travelling time kung Pque to Ateneo everyday.. But i'd really say I prefer Ateneo among all schools.. I like that area..

Happy 11th month Kenzo! Tin, one of the favorites nya yun kasi yung story nun may nawawalang baby animal.. yun ang gusto nya mga may hinahanap :) tapos camera camera pa kaya enjoy sya..

Lisa, I like Podium.. hindi crowded.. been a while since I was last there.

Do you have any idea how much tuition fee sa Poveda? Naks! Kaya dapat talaga eh kumayod habang maaga pa  ;D

Lia - trueness ka diyan! basta the best for our kids, go tayo diyan! kesehodang igapang ko din yan!
