Thanks, chicafabulosa  Nakausap ko na kasi yung sa Concha Cruz (Mrs Collado?) and sabi niya di nila covered yung subdivision namin pero they will do ocular kung kaya nila for next school year.

Tumawag ako sa CSA ulit, yun lang daw Paranaque area nila.

hi sis, my daughter will be in junior kinder also this coming school year, she was interviewed last january.. how much is the tuition sis?  you have an idea how much  for new-filipino student? and when is the sched of their enrollment?

my panganay kasi will be grade 4  na this coming june din.. mga sis, may discount ba sa tf if second child na? or sa third child ang discounted tf?

I have so many questions sorry, Im here kasi abroad  when ang start ng classes sa csa mga sis? thanks very much!

hi sis, naku mag eenjoy talaga sila sis gr 3-charity (if im not mistaken) ang son ko last school year, anong sec ng daughter mo? baka magkakilala pa sila or maging classmates this year.

Im not sure again sa school bus, pero sis sa csa ka mismo mag ask kasi may mga designated school buses depende sa area nyo. dapat inquire ka na agad kasi mabilis maubos ang slot. before na late kami, as in wala ng slot, hindi kasi pwedeng kunin ng ibang bus operator kung hindi nila area. kaya hatid sundo ng car anak namin, naku ang gastos

and speaking of grade 4, have you heard that they are going to use now tablets, wala ng books, notebooks and all. nasa tablet na lahat ng aaralin nila kaya they dont need to bring na daw big bags.

Testing muna daw yung sa Grade 4 if it will work. They prefer Ipad Mini daw. in Xavier not so good yung unang experience eh, like if by accident masira yung ipad, do they have a spare na pwede ipahiram para makapag reviwe yung kids? Kasi if it will be Ipad, kailangan talaga ng spare sakali since may tendency na masira, mabagsak and all.

Btw: Update for those child who will be incoming Sr. kinder old filipino. Annual is 103+ safe to say bring 104 na lang. Sabi there will be a minimal increase lang naman for the misc. around 1-2k lang. But it will be paid pa rin based on the scheduled fee. Sana pwede na on the enrollment day mismo para wala na tayo iniisip pa di ba. Haiz nga naman

I was able to talk to Unit 2 Head nila kanila sis. Pilot testing would be the Grade 4 students. But unfortunately Dr. Ronquillo cant have a solid answers to my concerns since of maging okay daw this year yung testing nila, it will be rolled out na to other levels too.

Here are the questions I asked kanina sa kanila about this tablet implementation
1. Why Ipad not Kindle which is mainly used for mainly used for ebook readings.
2. Where are we going to buy those ipad mini? CSA should be dealing with Apple stores and get a deal with them since etong brand ang prefer nila, dapat malaki discounts nating mga parents.
3. What if mag crash yung ipad during class hours, are the teachers have plans how to fix it?
4. If masira and the following day is exam nila, do they have any old school books to lend or better yet, spare units to lend sa mga masisiraan ng ipad. If wala so that means we have to buy spare pa.
5.If ma lowbat during school hours, will they allow charging of those ipads inside the classrooms? kasi bawal mag charge dun ang alam ko so that means need nila to bring a spare one. Lalo na ipad mini tried and tested ko na ebook reading lang can last up to 4-5 hrs lang. so what will happen after that na?
6. I also asked them, not all can afford to buy Ipad kasi some of the students are scholars, paano na sila?
7. I also asked them about the possible theft. I remember my friend told me the reason daw why pare-parehas ang rubber shoes ng students na for PE kasi during their days daw in school nauso yung payabangan and then some daw nauuwi sa nakawan ng shoes. so I asked them, whats the difference of rolling out ipads to students kahit pa na lahat sila naka ipad di ba.
and lastly..
8. As early as pre school, they are teaching na students how to use computers, chances are marami ang marunong nng gumawa ng sarili nilang emails, so pwede na i-logout yung itunes accounts natin sa ipad and login theirs so they can download games.

Plus what if a student bring a pocket wifi di ba, so pwede na pwede sila mag surf at mag youtube etc. so anong guarantee natin na they can concentrate sa schools di ba.

so when I asked them these questions, no solid answers sa akin sila. I just hope they will re-consider this idea. I dont want my son to lose  focus sa school lalo na Gold Eagle awardee sya.

they had a final meeting ata last april 10 sis.. got the quotation na rin sa ipad mini wifi nila it costs 18,600 heres the breakdown:
13k ipad mini wifi
1,2k Vsmart lic
3,2k e textbooks (6 digital books)
1,2 internet connection


sis chikafabulosa, they prefer ipad instead of kindle because they will use it din daw as a notebook.Then it will be locked just in case its lost. it can be bought at the csa bookstore in full payment.. they will have back up ipads just in case one student will be needing it.. they cannot use their own ipad (if they have at home) para untouched daw and hindi mahaluan ng ibang apps or downloads.. i think other sites cannot be opened, it will be limited lang depends on the school..charging will not be a problem.. my concern is the warranty, yun ang hindi nila natanong, but im pretty sure it has its experimental sa gr4 kasi sila ang pinaka konting population, just 5 sec i think, kasi mostly sa kanila yung mga nag skip ng gr1 2 school yrs ago.

6 ebooks lang ang included so I guess meron din silang paperback aside from ebooks, i dont think 6 books lang ang gr4..

I have accepted it naman that everything is expensive there and mostly of my friends na ninong ng anak ko were alumni ng csa ang di ko maaccept is even the traditional notebook is aalisin nila. Tatamarin na mga bata nyan sumulat ng old school style. Hay naku ewan ko na lang

I guess they are following the trend of other high standard private schools like DLSZ, Xavier, ICA, Miriam, etc who are also using iPads now. Very impressed and happy ang mga friends ko na may mga anak sa Miriam.

BTW, would you guys know if an applicant for 1st grade needs to know how to read and write?

I would think so. There is an entrance exam (can't remember if its 2hrs) and the kid needs to be able to read the instructions (at least that's what my son told me) and write the answers of course.

My son was from a progressive school, we transferred here just last school year (Grade 1).
