yesterday at 5.50pm, i tried scheduling for passport renewal and active ang dates from May 13, so i chose May 30 sakto for our holiday at least bawas leave na.. originally kasi July something pa ko.. yey! =)

my daughter is scheduled on friday may 13 at 4pm. do you think matagal kami pipila dun since hapon ang nakuha kong date? mainipin pa naman tong bata na to. she's just 2 years old eh.

Congratulations! I'm glad you were able to get an earlier sched. What time ang sched mo on May 30? Baka magkita tayo

is it possible to renew the passport ng di bubutasan yung old? di pa naman mag-eexpire passport ko kaso 1 page na lang natitira, and i need to renew my china visa and it will occupy 1 whole page. baka kase di na ko payagan magrenew pag wala nang page. here in hk kase 2-3months daw. uuwi din kase ako sakto sa nakuha kong appointment last week (which is next week na), and di ko mahihintay na ma-release pa yung passport, i need to be back din agad eh. di rin ako pwede mawalan ng passport for 2-3 months dahil madalas may business trip.

alam ko merong nagsabi an pwedeng maextend ang validity ng passport for another 30 days..kaso kung wala ng masusulatan, no choice ka po

... pwede kayang i-request na wag butasan? kase binubutasan nila agad eh. baka pagpunta ko dun magulat na lang ako binutasan na bigla..

siguro hindi kase andun pa yung valid visa mo, i-aattach lang sya dun sa bago..pero inform mo na din agad yung officer na kukuha ng passport mo

Meron na bang nakapag appointment for August? I've tried scheduling online pero laging sagot sa akin "sorry the date you chose is not available". How far ahead ba dapat ang lead time to make an appointment?

napaka-bad naman yang releasing officer nay an sa dfa nay an. Eh nakalagay na sa news sa halos all stations na na they are extending their office hours on Saturdays!

Sis ceejhei,
Yes sis all government employees can go directly sa dfa lounge for gov employees. So the grandfather will accompany your daughter right? Just clarify na lang with DFA kung pwede yun next of kin, kasi alam ko direct relatives lang like mom-dad-anak lang.

Sis betty/ mama squeak,
Sis that means may iba na nakakuha ng slot nayun before you have even clicked it. Get another day na appointment, refresh ng refresh until earlier slots do open.
I am not sure sa lead time nila na magopen ng new months, but i guess mga 5 months kasi when i scheuled mine before july yun open na ang mga slots till dec.

^Thanks, sis! I don't like to get an earlier slot kasi I'm leaving for the US in July for sure di aabot yung passport ko basing on the posts here. So plan ko is to renew immediately after my trip which is in August. Dami pa kasi ako naka-line up na trips after na need ko passport. Grabe talaga napaka-inefficient ng DFA natin!

Another question ko, I am having a big problem, ayon sa dfa may 18 pa madedeliver passport ko, pero for deployment na ako ng may 14. I have my contract and ticket na. Please tell me what to do. Hindi ko ineexpect na makakahanap kagad ako ng job overseas ng ganon kadali kaya dati parang okay lang delays sakin.

hay sa wakas natapos na din prob ko sa passport..marerelease daw on may 30..mkakaabot pa ako sa tour namin dahil na moved ng first week of june, yey!nagbayad na lang ako kahapon para mkakuha ng appoinment ngayon. pero andami pa rin tao sa courtesy lane kanina,kahit saturday? sabi nagdagdag pa sila ng 500 more slots everyday and inextend ang working hours ng mga empleyado nila..atleast 12 weeks before the travel daw dapat mag apply na dahil sobrang dami daw ng application ngayon..

Sis, go to the director's office yata yun. bring your contract and ticket para iprioritize yung passport mo. applicable lang yan sa mga OFWs. goodluck!

Ah okay sis medyo malayo-layo pa pala ang gusto mong date. Try mo na lang kung open na ang slots nila for august.

Sis ceejhei,
Sis to facilitate yung fast na release ng passport mo, you can always call sa DFA yung director’s head office na nila para sa mga ganyan na situations bring your contract and any proof na for deployment ka na. OFWs too have an OFW lounge doon, but i suggest na you might go din to the POEA head office sa may Robinsons galleria malapit, there is a DFA office doon pagpasok mo sa building sa left side siya na mga offices, exlusively for OFWs. Mabilis lang processing doon kasi OFWs need to fly and go ora mismo.

i also got an info na kahit pala extended ang expiration ng passport, some countries still won't honor it. Not sure lang what countries are like that. true kaya yan?

Hello mga sis, newbie here...

Sa June 28 ang passport schedule namin ng hubby ko (actually hindi pa officially hubby since hindi pa kami kasal). Yung girls ko naman schedule for August. Ang problem may nakalagay na married kami at may marriage date dun sa birth cert nila pareho. Based sa DFA website pag mommy ang kasama hindi na manghihingi ng marriage cert (meron kami pero yung gawa sa Quiapo).

Based sa experience nyo, hindi na ba talaga manghihingi ng marriage cert yung DFA kapag ako ang kasama?

Hope you can enlighten me. TIA
