i love DFA!
i registered thru online reservation around jan29 and then my schedule for appearance was  11march. on that day, good thing i had the pass for 8am batch, as in 45mins tapos na ako lahat.


and today, i received my passport already, i paid for express delivery,.

 i thought after holyweek ko pa mareceive since 15April daw yung release.. but no, i was so surprised and im so satisified sa service ng DFA.

I also availed of the online reservation for my daughter's (2 years old) passport application last Jan. 21 and her schedule was last Mar. 11.  Her application was processed through the express lane and the passport arrived last Apr. 1.

As for the documents, the original copy of her NSO birth certificate was submitted, and I was able to retain a photocopy only.  I remember when I had my passport renewed to reflect my maiden name, the original copy of the NSO marriage certificate was also submitted.

If you need extra copies of your NSO issued documents, it's easy to secure them, there's the e-Census (just pay at BDO or Unionbank) for P315.00 per copy of the document requested.  I paid last Apr. 8 (before lunch time) and I received the complete set of documents on Apr. 13.

You may also try some SM branches, they process requests for NSO issued documents too, may mark up lang daw ng P20.00, basta less than P50.00 and it's the usual processing time if you secure it from NSO directly.  It's a cheaper and more convenient alternative kung hindi naman nagmamadali.

Just bring
NSO birth certificate
2 valid IDS (PRC, IBP, Drivers, school id, voters id, postal id, work id)
One sis here brought her high school yearbook para lang maprove na siya yun.

For your parents:
NSO Birth certificate
NSO-marriage certificate ( one copy for your mom another for your dad)
2 valid ids ( kung meron sila marami mas okay, voters id, postal id, prc id, ibp id, etc)

As one ba ang passport delivery ng sons mo?
Or isang delivery for 1 passport, another for the passport of your other son?

Yes sis DFA always gets the Original NSO birth cert and marriage cert.
They do not get the photocopies na kasi it tends to be blurry copies na.
They would not return it na, file na nila yun.
Yan ang ginawa sa akin and the rest of the applicants na kasunod ko, kinuha original NSO birth cert.

^yun din alam ko, original ang kukunin. kaya nag-apply uli ako ng new ones sa NSO in case I would need them afterwards. buti na lang, isang marriage certificate lang ang kailangan for couples no? naisip ko, dalawa pa ba kailangan nila hehe

Wow binalik ang orginal docs mo? When ka nagapply for your passport?
I got mine last year November pa kasi and they took all the orginal documents.
Kasi sa website yan nakasabi mga original.

Ah okay ako din sis they got all my orig NSO docs. . Oo nga eh kasi the passports are just small items baka pwede namn nila ilagay sa mas bigger pouch na magkasama di ba lalo na kung family.  Hay negosyo kasi nila yan...very bad...

^^yup sis for my daughter, college ID lang plus the NSO birth cert. hindi naman tiningnan yung baptismal cert nya. yung sa son ko, dalawa dala ko, yung Nursery & Kinder IDs niya. pero yung recent lang ang tiningnan, yung Kinder.

Me, yung SSS and driver's license. sa husband ko, SSS lang.  plus of course our birth certs and marriage contract.

hi mga sisses, hindi po ini-honor yung TIN at Postal ID ko.. kinabahan nga ako, akala ko mapupunta lang sa wala yung pagpunta ko ng DFA.. ang kinuha po saken ay orig na NSO Birth Cert, Orig copy ng NBI Clearance (For Travel - Green), and Photocopy ng Transcript of Records (Indicated po sa TOR ko halos lahat ng info about me w/ photo ko din po).. mas hinahanap pa nga sa akin yung Alumni ID ko, eh hindi ko pa po nacclaim sa school ko.. Narealize ko, mas valid ID pa pala ang Alumni ID kesa sa gov't IDs like TIN ID and Postal ID hahaha =)

Tama ka sis when you go to DFA to get your passport, dalhin mo na lahat ng mga important documents mo. Mahirap magpareschedule kasi.
Ang tin and postal ID kasi ang nakaprint lang sa parang cardboard they should improve it too gawin nila like sa SSS ID.

^sis there are 2 kinds of NBI clearance kasi one is green colored for local travel ata yun.
and the other is yellow na for travel abroad ata. correct me if i got it wrong.

my father needs to go back to the US on end of May but his passport is expiring on Oct2011, which is less than the 6months period.
i tried getting him an appointment in DFA (online), pero end of June na ang schedule na nakuha ko 
i tried calling them pero ganun pa rin.

meron bang ibang way? papayagan ba sya na umalis ng bansa with a nearly expiring passport?

he's an immigrant but he has a job that he needs to get back on kaya end of May ang balik nya.  1st of June kasi ang work schedule.

sabi ng kausap ko, hindi daw priority ang mga immigrant. OFW lang daw. ngek!
sa tingin ba nila lahat ng immigrant narito lang sa Pinas para magbakasyon at nasa US naman para magpasarap lang din? syempre, may obligation din sila doon.

i tried calling immigration kung may waiver something that we could secure since pede ang OFW. baka tawagan na lang namin ang boss nya sa US to send in a letter telling of the urgency... haaaay

Sis, a friend told me na sa POEA, meron daw dun place si DFA where you can have your passport renew in one day ata or one week... dun kasi siya ngparenew nung may immediate travel abroad sya. hope this helps

Hi mga sis! I need some opinions or suggestions. Kasi my brother filed for renewal of passport last Feb21 thru travel agency. We payed for rush processing as we need it before May 15, kasi we'll have a vacation in SG. He had his appearance last April20. Sabi sa DFA hindi daw ma-release yung passport nya before May15 kasi daw sira daw yung machine na gumagawa ng passport. Advice naman ng mga staff dun if May13 wala pa, punta siya sa office ng DFA then try daw nila extend yung passport nya. So lagi namin kinukulit ngayon yung agent. Question lang mga sis, do you think possible na nasira yung machine na yun? Or meron ba sa inyo ganito din experience ngayon? Thanks mga sis.

yes sis may instances na ganyan talaga daw sabi ng DFA, sira daw ang printing machine, kasi sa BSP pa ito piniprint.and yun nga madalas daw sira
