was also diagnosed with pcos.

weight loss talaga is important (most women with pcos are either overweight or obese) pati pagtake ng female hormones..

may mga cases talaga na hirap magkaanak because of pcos. i know someone na 4 years silang nagtry to have a baby, and then the wife took a certain herbal supplement w/c helped her condition, ngayon may baby na sila. so might try that too.

I'm also diagnosed with pcos, pero starting pa lang ang treatment. Nadiagnose ako late last year, pero di ko na nabalikan yung ob ko that time and busy din with other things, so ngayon I went to another ob and she recommended that I take metformin and dianne35. Aside from these meds my OB told me to exercise regularly.

I'll let you girls know what'll happen, 3 months kasi yung prescriptive period for taking metformin and kakasimula ko pa lang. Honestly I hate that med, it makes me feel nauseous. Was also told to adopt a low-carb and low-sugar diet, so very limited lang ang rice, no bread, noodles/pasta (basically everything else edible lol), sugary foods like ice cream, soda, etc.

Women with pcos are commonly overweight or obese, which means excess body fat. According to a doctor I've talked to, hormones come from fat, and since madaming fat, madaming hormones ang napoproduce causing hormonal imbalance, which then overstimulates the follicles causing cystic formation, which then results to infertility and irregular mens. So there.

So basically weight loss is very important, and then pills for the hormonal imbalance.

Ang pagtreat ng PCOS is depende sa symptoms mo. For instance, if you have high insulin levels, metformin ang usual na pineprescribe. Kaya importante talaga you consult an ob and undergo lab tests.

I'll try to lose weight (which I will probably achieve anyway considering the effect of metformin on me *sigh*). I'll be taking supplements too + antioxidants because the doctor I was talking about earlier said it'll help.

I have a friend who has PCOS, one of her complaints lang talaga is excessive hair din daw.  She's done laser na, and the hair just keeps coming back.

I got diagnosed on Dec 2010. Ive been Taking Diane 35 for a year and a half. Ive been taking IPL sessions for eight months. The hair keeps on coming back. I suggest sissies buy your own laser machines. Mukhang wala na pagasa hair ko... its okay lang pag continuous treatments ng iPL pag wala na tubo galore na sila. Hays. Kainggit ang walang PCOS...

hi mga sis. for me its better to go to a fertility specialist/ob gyne talaga. ive experienced going to other ob who give nman advice but not the direct solution i expected.  para sa akin nkkpagod ang calendar at magtry every other day.to those wanting to conceive it is best to do follicle monitoring.  ok ang metformin para skin din. i have now pretty baby girl 1 yr 4mos na. if u want talaga to take food supplements u may get peofessional advice from dr romulo de villa nutritional oncologist yun. very good.

mga sis na may pcos?  I just want to know how are you diagnosed to have 1?  I mean aside from your ultrasound result na pco kayo may mga pa bang ginawa? I read the net about pcos ang sabi ultrasound is not enough to say that you have PCOS as some women have pco but don't really have pcos and some woman don't have pco but suffer from pcos.  Ang nabasa ko now the best way to know if you have pcos is AMH anti-mullerian hormone blood test which will determine the eggs on your ovary so kung madami sobra ibig sabihin hindi ka nag-oovulate. Dito sa atin sa Pinas St. Luke's global pa lang ang meron I called them and it cost 4200 to have that test.

Ok this is weird. I got tested too for PCOS but I was clear according to the ultrasound. i was on provera for 6 months and it regulated my menses. Now is the first month that I will be off provera. I am feeling the usual symptoms of menstruation but there's no blood at all. I am quite frustrated already. Supposedly, i have no PCOS. I got tested for hormonal imbalance, twice. And it was clear too so there could be no source for this. And yet I am having menstruation problems. I really pray that I get it this month and the next. Mom and sis have irregular menstruation too so I think it runs in the family. And sis just gave birth (normal delivery) to a healthy baby so I guess it's fine. Should I just let this be? I mean, ayoko nang bumalik sa OB at maging drug dependent forever! :(

Hi sis, I suggest you detoxify your body muna, kasi ganun ang ginawa ko para mawala [textspeak!] pcos and mag regulate ang menses ko eh, and i use to take vino de quino, actually, medyo effective nung nalihis na naman ako sa calendar, back up ko siya

Hi Sis, so you have hair problems? facial hairs ba yan, I suggest you try Althea. Kasi aside from of course being a contraceptive, parang beauty pill din sya kasi it prevents pimples and unwanted facial hairs. I heard mahal daw yang diane eh, althea is like Php366 lang yata. and na try ko na yan, pero for regulating menstruation, sa friend ko for pimples and facial hairs, so far okay sa kanya. ask your OB about it para maresetahan ka. =)

Here's my health condition,
for the past months, I'm having skin problems, prickly heat, and some pimples sa face, usually kasi clear skin naman ako, maybe due to stress sa work.
also this December, dahil sa noche buena and medya noche at puro kain ang ginawa ko ng bakasyon I think I gained another 2 pounds of weight, I'm now 122 lbs, maintained at 120 lbs the past year, although I feel better if 110 lbs lang sana ako.
another thing is I missed my period for December and still wala pa now January na, CD32 + 18 days
I feel bloated, always burping, feeling hungry or acidic lang so I eat often.
I feel na dadatnan na ako, kaso di talga dumadating pa.
I'm worried na, I'm in my 30's
(nabawasan cramps ko since I turned 30 and regular monthly naman ako except now)

What blood test and urine test should I get?
I don't want anything inserted down there, takot ako. PCOS kaya ito?
