Pa help po. about Polycystic ovary syndrome (POS)

 Na diagnose po kasi ako na may Polycystic ovary syndrome (POS) when I was 17 5months akong walang period. So then my doctor prescribe me to take pills para daw maging regular ang period ko. Ask ko lang po may chance parin po bang mag ka baby ang nagkaron ng P.O.S?

my chance pa rin naman yan sis.. may friend ako yung kapatid niya ganyan din.. basta sundin mo lang advice ng doctor pati mga prescribed na medicines.

ano pinainom sainyo sisses? sakin diane 35.... kelan kaya eepekto ang diane for clearing ng acne cause of hormones... hayzz

hi! meron din ako PCOS. pero nalaman ko yun nung nakapanganak na ko sa panganay ko. wala naman akong ininom na gamot, pero buntis ako ngayon para sa 2nd baby namin.

natakot din ako nun na hindi magkaanak after ko malaman na may PCOS ako. pero sabi naman ng OB ko, pwede pa naman daw magbuntis. so may chance pang magbuntis kahit PCOS. madami din akong kilala na may PCOs pero may anak, yung iba nga kambal pa eh.

thanks sa reply mga sis! Im so confused kasi, sabi kasi ng iba wala na daw chance or mahihirapan daw ako.

May pcos din ako, nalaman ko na may ganun ako 16yo ako.. Pinag pills din ako ng doctor ko.. 8months yung pinaka matagal na di ako nagkaron. althea pinagamit sakin, sobrang ok nya kasi di masyado ang side sffect sakin like depression or headache or mood swings unlike other brands. And gumanda din skin ko dun. Ask your doc about it.  anyway im pregnant ngayon so dont worry di totoong di ka na magkakaanak..

Thanks Sis Cocoyow.. Althea rin pinagamit sakin ng doctor ko every 6months nabalik ako sakanya untill now meron parin true na maganda ang effect ng althea so far wala akong na feel na bad side effects. Na enlighten na ako sa mga comments niyo. Thanks talaga nalungkot kasi ako nung sinabi nila yun.

I was diagnosed with PCOS din after my wedding, that was way back 2008 pa. 2 months na delayed so akala namin pregnant na yon pala PCOS. My ob gave me Provera tapos effective cya kasi nung sinabi ni OB na i should expect my period on his day, dumating naman. Natakot din ako kasi sabi ng mga friends ko mahihirapan na daw ako mag kaanak,  so not true kasi ngayon I have 2 boys na.

Sis bubblebath nag take din ako ng provera and yes very effective kaso mahal. hehe Nice to hear that from you sis, atleast ngayon confident na ko. kasi I feel so devastated every time na oopen samin yung topic ng pregnancy. Sis ask ko lang may bad side effect ba ang pills? kasi sa case natin we need to take pills talaga hanggang sa maging ok ang menstrual cycle natin diba?.

   anyway ako na diagnosed din akong may pcos, pero nalaman ko yun nito lang february kung kelan may  3 yrs old baby na ako. so that means hindi ibig sabihin na may pcos ka wala ng chance na magkababy.. ibibigay din ni lord yan.

I was also diagnosed with PCOS (14 small on he left, bigger ones on the right) when I was pregnant with our 1st daughter.  She's now 10 months old.  Came back for an ultrasound for another pregnancy, nandun pa rin yung PCOS, some were bigger.  Needless to say, pede pa rin magbuntis sis.  2 consecutive pregnancies despite the said condition.  Hubby and I prayed talaga for this.  After giving birth and breastfeeding our 2nd baby, I'll seek medications na.

Well I have PCOS din but may periods ako kaya super confused ako when I got my diagnosis. Yun pala di necessary walang period lang may PCOS. Anyways fast forward I was diagnosed early 2005.. tapos I plan to get married pa naman ng 2006. Anyways usually the first course of treatment na irerecomend usually ng OB is to take courses of pills, in my case I tried Melian, then moved to Dianne then Yasmin.  But of course since I plan to get married soon and obviously intentions ko is to conceive ASAP! I started my fert work ups sa St. Lukes. under my ob.  As in naranasan ko all the Provera, clomid, gonal-f, puregon, ovidrel na cycles.  Nakakapagod because halos every day I was in the hospital esp after day 9. para mag follicle monitoring. And obviously masakit sa bulsa... I must say super OK talaga ang ARCU ng st. lukes! I have 2 babies now. My eldest is a girl born jan 2007 and my bunso is a boy born april 2009.

Thanks sis jaceesperanza so far wala pa naman ako plan mag ka baby and I wish sana pag ready na ko di ako mahirapan or I still have a chance to have a child.

Sis yung iba talaga it will take them a while na ma-impregnate. Yung SIL ko, took her about 2 years. Nag-Clomid din siya. The most difficult part is when you get pregnant because ang tendency is tataas ang BP and Blood Sugar mo. That's what happened to my SIL. She had to undergo CS delivery on her 8th month kasi nagf-fluctuate na yung BP niya and is potentially harmful to the baby. Ayun, preemie yung niece ko and 1 month siya sa NICU. Maliit din siya for an 8-month old baby kasi naapektuhan daw yung paglaki niya nung pagtaas ng BP ng SIL ko.

may chance naman sis. meron nga lang mga babae nahihirapan magbuntis but it doesn't mean di ka na magkakababy

oh na forgot ko pala imention I took METFORMIN din yung humamet ang brand 3x a day.  I noticed nung nag Metformin ako mas responsive ang eggs ko.  Mas parang gumagalaw usually kasi nag fofollicle arrest na agad (di na lumalaki). But of course effort pa din.  I think important din not to stress yourself too much. Minsan yun pang cycle na di ka nag eexpect biglang BOOM!

But since di ka pa mag aanak agad.  I'd say mag gradual regular Metformin ka na on top of your pills. Kadalasan kasi may insulin resistance ang mga may PCOS. Although ako normal lahat insulin and sugar ko, I still took Metformin advice kasi sa akin ng isang Reproductive Endoc from Singapore.  It seemed to make a difference nga.  BUT GIANT BUT ha you have to consult pa din OB mo if she gives you a GO signal tsaka ka lang mag proceed. Well after all prescription only lang din naman metformin. Maganda nang sure! BEST OF LUCK!

I was diagnosed with PCOS almost 2 years ago because of my irregular menses. Althea was prescribed and I took it for almost 2 years. Now binago yung prescription, try ko daw yung Yaz kasi mas hindi daw nakakataba yun. I'm not yet married nor trying to get pregnant though.

Anyway, di naman totoo na hindi ka na mapepreggy pag may PCOS. Mas mahirap lang magbuntis kung pasaway ka. Hehe. My teammate had PCOS din, 2 years na sila ng hubby nya nagtatry pero wala pa rin. Pero I don't think it's because of PCOS entirely. I think kelangan nya lang kasi magdiet since she's on the chubby side tapos stressed parati sa work and travel kaya siguro nahihirapan.
