pwedeng maki-join uli dito?

ever since I left my husband (coz of violence) to go back to my mom's house, on and off kami and it has been 3yrs since then. this time, parang talagang malabo na mabuo na talaga family namin..ako lang kasi matigas ulo and I guess I am not being kind to myself,,kaya naproprolong yung agony. I keep thinking it will work out..but his true colors really show, inspite of him saying na nag-bago na sya (kuno).

its been hard being a single mom. and harder if walang financial support from the father. talagang yun yung pangganti nya sakin, kapag nag-aaway kami, we wont talk/text for weeks, umabot pa nga ng 3 months last year and lately a month na..and during those times I am left to fend for our kid. kesyo mas mataas sahod ko and so on and so forth. sad part too is when even civility is destroyed between you both.

Im tired na talaga. I was and still am broken from all the abuses (psychologically, mentally, financially, etc) and coz of this I cannot even make time to go and see someone I could talk to to help "heal" and to pick up my broken self, bcoz I need to work and be both a mom and a dad. funny thing is lately I am finding myself not thinking/worrying about him as often as I did before. is this the sign of moving on? sometimes moving on is scary, kasi parang you don't wanna leave behind the bittersweet past..para ba yung sinabi ni Elizabeth Gilbert sa letter nya to David taken from Eat, Pray, Love .."Feels like a precious wound, Like a heartbreak you won't let go of cause it hurts too good."
sorry mejo magulo utak ko ngayon hehe just want to let this out

I hope and pray for all of us to to heal and be the best version of ourselves after this big hurdle in our lives

sis babyboo0326 - naku sis! ganyan din situation namin before nung dad ng son ko. i was the one with a regular-paying job. sya kasi ayaw nya mag work on a regular job kasi mas gusto nya magbusiness. thing is, wala naman kaming pang-puhunan for the business he wanted (car shop). tapos, konting misunderstanding lang, napagbubuhatan na nya ako ng kamay.. and about your opinion on telling your kid the truth, i agree to it. we should always tell the kids the truth, and be consistent. matalino kasi mga bata. they will know if we are telling a lie. yung son ko rin, despite his age (7), kapag tinatanong sya ngayon if he wants to meet his dad, oks lang daw sa kanya kasi curious daw sya. pero ayaw nya sumama like if ipapasyal sya or if he will meet his lolo and lola sa kabilang side...  :)

sis momentum - sis i guess naman yung financial aspect ang isang downside talaga ng pagiging single parent. i did not receive even a single centavo from my son's dad ... ni singkong duling wala.. my parents helped me shoulder the expenses when i gave birth, and ngayon na lumalaki na son ko, i have to really work hard kasi ayaw ko naman i-asa sa parents ko yung pag-aaral ng bata, as they are also retired na.. from his milk, diapers, and vaccines when he was a baby upto his daily school baon today, ako na ang may sagot. it's really a challenge.. but i view it as a motivation to do better sa work, and naging inspiration din sa akin to be more focused in life..  personally, i would rather have it this way kesa yung kasama ko nga yung dad ng anak ko, tapos wala naman syang work... mas magiging pabigat pa sya kesa makatulong.. just my opinion..  :)

Hello everyone! Been busy lately..Musta na?

Sis momentum. how about you file for child support? This is what I did kasi. Dati he won't give me even a cent but when nagfile kami ng support, nagbigay na din siya. And from that point mas naging visible na siya sa mga bata. So dati akala ko super messy lang ng kaso but it was actually the way para naging maayos kami, siguro not as husband and wife but as a dad and a mom. Thanks God.

^sis, i'm not sure if i can also file a child support since hindi naman kami married nung dad ng bunso ko. kaso i don't know rin if he has a job din naman even if i file a case against him. would you have any idea?

^what i know sis is that you can file even when you are not married. you can start sa lawyer. less than 1k lang nagastos namin for a lawyer (consultation fee and demand letter). after that, pinadiretso na muna kami sa baranggay. dito up to 3 summons. if wala pa result, saka na kaya irerefer sa court. from what i heard, sa baranggay pa lang madami na naayos as long as you both compromise. yung sa amin sa baranggay level din naayos.

I think I might be joining this thread soon. *sigh* nakakatakot na nakaka-excite. Andami ko na pwedeng gawin like business unlike before, walang support from hubby. I feel my life is easier to live. I left home last Sep 16 bec of pananakit and he was the one with the nerve to lock me out of the house. After a few days I went back home and discovered he was flirting through text sa cellphone. Ayun, di na ko bumalik. I'm waiting for him to go to where we stay (my parents house) but he hasn't and I feel that he will never ever visit us there bec he has no respect for my parents.

Ngayon lang ako natauhan na this is not how marriage should be. Mag 10 years pa naman sana kami next year.

hang in there sis maiandra..things will get better soon.. if he doesn't appear man lang to try to win you back then that means hindi niya talaga kayo mahal nor are you important to him..mga taong ganun talagang hindi na dapat pag-aksayahan ng oras pa..10yrs is enough to weigh kung worth it pa ba or hindi yung marriage nyo..lets pray for our recovery

^Tama sis.

There is really never a good time to separate. I for one, like sis maiandra had a 10 yr marriage before I called it quits. Pero I think I did the best I could. I tried to salvage the marriage as much as I could. I was also not emotionally ready to separate.  Kaya inabot ako ng 10 years.

Ngayon I am in a dilemma naman how to introduce my kids to my current BF.  Yes I now have a BF after dating over a year.  Separated nako for 5 years.  But it only took me in the last 2 years to started dating again and opening my heart. At matanda nako since I wasted 10 years hoping my ex would turn around.

He had a mistress and until this day he is claiming na wala na sila, pero care ko ba.  He also has kids take note with an S with the sl*t.  Even the sl*t knows he is married sya pa ang matapang. When I learned about the second bastard, doon nako nag isip umalis.  Kasi hindi ko na kaya.

10 long agonizing years was not easy.  I was at a brink of my sanity. Close to suicidal and took my life once.  I did not know what to do, it was suffocating. Torturing day in day out.  Lonely nights spending alone, thinking where he is.  He also had a string of flings, aside from having a regular mistress.  The worst part, ayaw nya akong iwan. Which made it more harder for me.  One moment ok na ako, then sisipot na naman sya, babait baitan, so ok na naman kami. Then mawawala, etc.   He is in sales kasi kaya hindi ko ma control where he is.

Nahirapan din ako to move on because we were already a couple since High School. We were childhood sweethearts, and he is the only guy I have dated.  Sya lang ang naging BF ko and my world was just him. Never socialized with other guys before. Pag may umaaligid, andyan sa lagi para bakuran ako. My friends used to say I had him wrapped around my little finger and how lucky I was to marry him.  Little did I know that he had this philandering incling.  When we were not yet married, he was very faithful.  However, after marriage, kapag nag aaway kami, sinusumbat nya sakin na hirap na hirap daw sya when we were not yet married as lagi syang at my service, at now na married na sya and financially stable, sya naman daw ang magpapakasaya. Bwiset sya. Sinira nya ang buhay ko.

I lived my life how my parents wanted me, mag aral mabuti then raise a family.  Hindi sa pinahirapan ko sya but I told him not to get married at 20yo because we have to be financially stable before getting married. Para sa kanya I made him wait. G*go pala sya, so after marriage, is it payback time? G*Go nya.

Anyway going back to kids, it is always easier to introduce your kids to your new love if they are younger.  Pag over 10 years old na kasi (they are 12yo and 14yo na), medyo kelangan ako maging maingat and make sure of a lot of things are in place. First di ko matimpla if they are ready na. Eh G*go nya, ang hirap sa kanya, lahat ng activities nya inuuna nya, tapos kung kelan lang sya mabakante, ora orada he wants to see the kids.  Eh kung nasa out of the country kami, kung may field trip mga kids?  Natural kako kelangan nya i-sched in advance. Especially we are not anymore at his mercy.  I emphasized kelangan sya maglaan ng sapat na oras ang specified time if he wants to see them.  Hindi kung "kelan lang sya available".  Kasi dati when we were still together, pag wala ang ex ko sa house, we go on with our lives and I try to make our family as normal as possible.  So we attend parties, go on activities with their cousins, etc.  Kaso mo bigla bigla darating ang kumag, gusto nya lumabas, and we will drop everything.  As in drop everything, cancel appointments just to accommodate him.  Kasi demanding sya and ayoko na ng away kung bakit sya di nag advise in advance, etc. Minsan minsan lang sya magyaya for out of town trip kunwari, sisirain ko pa raw, kawawa daw mga bata.  Things like that (mentally psychologically torturing me talaga).  Anyway, nasanay ang ex ko na lagi kaming andyan naka tunganga waiting for him, para pag available na sya, ready kami.  Pero ngayon na we are separated na, mukhang ginagawa na naman nya, but this time sa kids.  sasabihin nya sige lalabas tayo, pero walang nangyayari kasi lagi syang busy. magp paint pa sya ng picture na sa december, mag outing sila, pero drawing lagi. it was March nung last sya nagpakita sa kanila, hanggang ngayon lagi nyang bukambibig dadaan sya, hindi naman.

So my dilemma right now really, how easy ba na putulin ko ang communication nila. Talagang walang hiya sya kasi.
The other dilemma I have is since lumalaki na kids ko, gusto ko din may father figure. Kaso how easy it is to introduce a new father figure kung iwalay ko sila sa kumag nilang ama? Baka isipin pa nila itong new father figure eh to replace their father, natural they will not be open to that.

Ang hirap. Sadyang masalimuot ang buhay.  All my life I did good, wala akong nilokong tao.  I always do things black and white.  Hindi naman sa self-righteous, I always stayed out of trouble kasi hindi naman ako party person. Lagi akong nasa bahay lang helping my parents nung bata pako.  I studied in one of the top schools din kasi I am an achiever somehow and do not want to let my parents down.  Pero hanggang ngayon, hindi ko maubos isipin what I did to deserve to get married to an *censored*.

Ang hirap kasi sa mga babae, whoever you marry, sometimes define your destiny. So unfair.

^ sis, hindi ko talaga alam anong impact. ang alam ko mas madali for them to cope kasi never naman nila nakita even before, lalaki sila hindi nila nakagisnan dad nila, which personally I think is much better than lumaki sila nang nakagisnan and yet kelangan ko sila ngayon ilayo from their dad.

pero sabi ng ibang sis natin dito, just tell them the truth.

I think one important ingredient din is not to make them feel your loneliness. minsan kasi nakukuha ng bata ang vibes from the mom kasi lagi nila kasama ang mom.  So dapat lagi kayong masaya kahit wala dyan dad nya.

Pero ngayon may bago na siya pinakilala niya as boyfriend and yung guy talagang nagttry mag reach out saming magkakapatid kaya okay kami dun sa new guy niya. I suggest ipakilala mo ng maayos sa kids mo yun. Explain mo yung about sa inyo ng dad nila tapos pakilala mo na sakanila yung new guy in a nice way. Siguro mag hangout kayo sa labas w/ the new guy and your kids.

Sana maging okay ang lahat sayo and your kids.. you deserve to be happy. (with your new guy hehe!) ☺

^ when they were growing up, I must say they enjoyed his company.

Ayun, inuumaga?! How can you allow your 6yo to sleep until sawa (around 3-4am) tapos the following day di na sya maka attend ng ibang activities nya? Ni simba walang gana. Kaya harrassed ako sobra dati, aside from contending with the ashole's philandering ways, may mga issue pa kaming ganyan na masyado akong strict. So the kids tend to enjoy with him kasi walang sawa junkfood at walang sawang paglalaro with him.

But those incidents did not happen often since my hubby then was only around the house once every 2 wks or once a wk. Pero pagkasama nila sya, masaya sila kasi nakakapag horseback riding sila, bicycle, swimming, out of town etc. Ako naman lagi kong concern paano kami mag out of town ng wala dad nila, takot ako sa security namin etc.

Pero in the last 5 years, this bonding medyo nagdie down nanga since we moved out. Pero sa umpisa, marami pang visits from my ex. 1st year kaming hiwalay, mga once a month. Second yr quarterly nalang. Third and 4th year parang 2x nalang. This 5th year so far iisa palang.

If it were me, gusto ko na putulin ugnayan nila because sinungaling yung tatay.

Pareho pala tayo sis Girltalker2.

Ako naman I allow the father to see my child anytime he wants, ang problema he doesn't want to come and visit us where we live now (Cavite). He lives in Las Pinas. Pero due to the way we separated, he has to be the one to reach out to us and visit us kasi there's physical, verbal and emotional trauma na. Maybe I need to heal pero not to be hurt by him again in the future. Anyway the lines are always open and I always said he could visit us anytime, pero sya ang ayaw pumunta sa amin kasi he's afraid of my parents. Or pride lang. Ako na nga ang nasaktan, kami pa bibisita sa kanya, no way!

Kayo, anong arrangements nyo when your child has to see the estranged parent? Do you drop them off or they have to be picked up?
