BIRTH CERTIFICATE PROBLEM

lyn - question? kase yung birthday ko may 27 then nalagay sa birth certificate ko may 28 kaya ginawa ko lahat ng documents ko naka may 28 pero paano ba procedure kapag papalit ko talaga na may 27 yung birth certificate ko? and how much aabutin? thanks!

similar case nung sa friend ko, pero sya march 29 ang ginamit nya sa documents kasi sabi ng parents nya march 29 birthday nya. nung 2001 nakakuha pa sya sa nso ng march 29 na birthdate so akala nya okay na at nagamit pa nya sa board exam at passport. last year kukuha sya ng sss digitized id, biglang nag appear sa sss na ang birthday nya eh march 30. nagulat sya at nagcheck sa nso, true enough, pag check nya this time sa nso march 30 na sya wala na ang march 29. kagulat! paano kaya gagawin nya? sis lyn and other sis, pa advise. salamat.

janjohann - sis, ipa-check mo sa friend mo sa nso. better kung may maipakita siyang copy ng birth certificate niya na march 29 ang bday nya doon. kasi, hindi iyon basta basta mapapalitan without a court order. ang naiisip ko lang na dahilan ay baka may nagpa-late-registration ng birth certificate niya

Mga sis TAKE NOTE of j27's post. Yan din ang nagawa ng parents ko when they change their Birth Cert and Marriage Cert. She also post magkano yung na gastos nila. Her post is on page 2 reply #38.

janjohann and annika, this is kinda similar sa cousin ko. Di ko alam if what happened na. But if you have evidence na yung May 27 / March 29 ang ginagamit nyo. Go sa (MCR) municipal civil registra where you were born and naka file yung Birth Cert nyo and tell them you wanna correct your Birth Cert. When you go there don't forget to bring evidence. Like school records, IDs etc...

Hello poh sa inyong lahat.. ive been searching about any site regarding with birth certificate problem cases .... i think this is the best site to open up.. i have the same problem with some of u mga sis. legitimated under subsequent marriage on process pa po yong papers ko para ma correct at magamit ko yung fathers surname ko,may LCR narin yung akin. i understand na notations nalang ang gagawin sa NSO after being corrected. BUt does it affect when u file application for passport?? especially po when i aim to go for CAnada?? hindi po ba ito big issue.,.f for future appearances..wala ho bang questions sila?? ok lang ho ba kaya yon nila??? please i need ur great help...kasi i listen to some advices .. sabi nila, better if i should follow the name na gamit ang surname nang mama ko nalang, no hassle change nalang ko daw yong mga school docs ko and much easy.plus dedeny ka daw kapag may mga affidavits.. if u want to go abraod. but ano ho talaga dapat.. ?? please

^Ok na yan sis. If you really want to check go get your baby's Birth Cert sa NSO and see if may notation na yung Birth Cert ng baby mo.

@meths, pwede mong gamitin yung surname ng papa mo if yung Birth Cert mo eh may notation na nakalagay. Pag may notation na that's it. That's legal. You won't have a problem with it.

If you mean iba yung gamit mong name sa school you can get an affidavit and have it sign by witnesses that this name (your name with your mom's surname) and your name with your dad's surname is one and the same person.

I sign an affidavit of my friend kasi when he went abroad kasi 2 names cya. And he was able to travel from different countries eg: UK, US, UAE, CAN, AUS, NZ etc with no problem whatsoever with his name. (Yep, he is very well travelled)

ive always been using my father's surname ever since poh, at sa lahat ng files ko sa school and out campous files.. yung nso ko lang suprisingly ang sa kay mama. pero , just like sexy_maldita's prob. hindi ata na proceed ang legitimation ko before sa nso..we submitted na their said requiremnts para ma process yun. and we waited nlng for notations...
did your friend went to diffrent countries as a tourist ho? or as a worker??, If as worker ang exit nya sa Philippines. Ok na ho pala...kasi as worker hopefully ang exit ko ho...OR do the embassys or to whichever hand this may concern has the same approach either ul exit as a tourist or as a worker?? ..  .....

^sis i think wala ng kaso un kung tourist or for employment ka..as long as may notation na yung birth certificate mo na you are now authorize to use your father's surname wala ng conflict dun..

@sis meths, ahhh so notations nalang ang hinihintay mo. Like what sis socxymom said: Pag na receive mo na yan Birth Cert mo with notations wala probs na.

My friend first went as tourist, then work via partner.

ms lyn question: sa birth certi ng papa ko halos lahat ng spelling mali name niya at ng mga lolo at lola ko, kaya need niya ma correct pero ang sabi need pa namin pumunta ng civil registrar ng mindanao kung saan pinanganak ang father ko at doon ayusin, wala bang ibang way na maayos, since andito kami sa metro manila? Magakno kaya kami aabutin kung dito ang process, or need talaga na pumunta kami ng mindanao kung saan pinanganak father ko? TIA

Mali kasi yung middle name ko, apelyido ng nanay ko at mispelled ang first name ng tatay ko. middle name ko talaga is Colegado, pero sa birth certificate ko nakalagay is Olegado, and sa mother ko is Obligado, tapos father ko naman who is Carlito, naging Cartito. Ano po ang gagawin jan? Pwede bang aayusin yan dito sa nso manila na lang? may work kasi ako dito. saka malayo province namin, mindanao pa. At need pa ba nyan ang lawyer o pwedeng affidavit na lang? Tulungan nyo naman po ako. Problem ko talaga yan, hindi tuloy ako makakuha ng passport.   


Asar ako sa clerk dun sa lugar namin, hindi inaayos. ayan, ako tuloy nagsa suffer.

^dun sa may mga wrong spelling sa names, mali ang dates, kailangan talaga pumunta sa kung saan ka pinanganak, kasi andun sa munisipyo niyo ang pinaka original niyong documents. ganun talaga.

actually, yung ibang cases, pagkatapos mo pumunta sa probinsiya niyo o kung san ka man pinanganak para ayusin ang mali, kasunod nun e papupuntahin ka sa nso manila para i-followup yan. dun ang last step, sa nso manila kasi bibigyan ka na dyan ng corrected copy.

re wrong spelling sa names, kapag yata 1 letter lang, hindi na kailangan ng lawyer. pero kamuka ng sa hubby ko, at ng sa 1st born ko, kailangan ng supporting documents na magpapatunay na yung hawak mo na copy na may wrong spelling e mali talaga. at yung supporting documents naman na ipepresent mo e magpapatunay na yun dapat ang nakalagay sa mga certificates niyo.

Yung sa mama ko sa municipal talaga where she was born sila ng ask para ma correct spelling ng name nya, name ng papa nya at name ng mama nya. And they gathered docs to support na yun talaga ang name ng parents nya at yung spelling ng name nya.

Sa papa ko may docs din sila prenisent but it needs a lawyer and doon din sa municipal where he was born linalakad yung mga papeles nya.

thanks sis lyn & j27, if ever ba kung ako ang pupunta ng mindanao authorization lang ang dapat kong dalhin or need na papa ko talaga ang pumunta doon? ano-ano ba ang mga supporting docs na mga needed bukod sa mga id's? pasensya na wala talaga ako idea.TIA

sis chasiderwin and sis slovy, yung sa papa ko he asked his brother to do it for him. Nag bigay lang siya ng authorization. As for supporting docs naman, yung mga baptismal, school records, birth certificate of your brother or sister na tama yung spelling sa mama at papa etc...
