^i've been married since dec 12, 2013.. Share ko Lang sa experience namin it's  really nice to consider ang food sa totoo lang. Kasi yung buong  entourage mo including both of your family side will look forward to it after the church event at habang nagpapa picture pa kayo ni h2b mo. Imagine your guests will wait for you, nag bihis yan sila, bumiyahe tapos nagregalo, pagdating ng kainan ni hindi man Lang sila nabusog. Parang tayo Lang din yan when we attend parties di ba? We also want to enjoy and relax din. Kayo din na bride and groom masaya din ang feeling that everyone is enjoying your party.

Kayang kaya yan sis! I've been there. You can cut off your budget for those things na pede kayo nalang ang gumawa mag asawa or magpa tulong sa family members. Sa church wedding ko nuon ang daming DIY like invites, save the dates, prenup pictures, decorations sa reception hall, mga give aways, flowers, photo booth,, ultimo hair and make up ko at ng entourage ko kami -kami Lang ang gumawa!  ;D

hindi kami kumuha ng mamahaling photo and video and until now happy kami sa desisyon naming yun.

Meron pa kaming open bar for alcohol drinks. Party talaga. Everyone had a blast!

The key is proper planning na and get help/support from family and friends. Good luck sa preps. :)

Nov 2015 pa kami so ngayon moodboard pa lang set namin. Next yr pa ang totoong work

we had our civil wedding last month. and yes sis kristine, super impt ang food. honestly, yun lang ginastusan namin. magiging masaya guests mo if they enjoyed the food. kahit gano kaganda yun ceremony, place, souvenirs, food pa rin ang paguusapan if ever. hehe. for 50pax kinuha namin but 35pax lang invite namin. all in all, kami 2 nagshoulder wedding expenses namin, 60k.

SIMPLE Wedding Reception (small group of people) in Makati/Ortigas/Pasay?
« Reply #448 on: October 01, 2014, 06:12:09 pm »
My fiance and I will be getting married via civil wedding in Makati City Hall this December.  We will be inviting probably up to 20 people maximum.  It will be really simple since next year will be the big church wedding.  I've seen a lot of places that people recommend but the problem is I am looking for a reception venue that is good for only a small group of people not a few hundred.

Any suggestions on low budget wedding reception venues for small group of people?

Haha well my budget is probably somewhere around 10-20k.  I've read posts where people have around 30 guests and have 60k.  But isn't there a wedding reception venue that can be done simple with 10-20k?  Buffet of food, simple catering, flowers, decoration.  I don't want it to be all out like flowers everywhere and pink and red fancy decor.  Just something simple.  I don't want to waste next year's big event ;) I dunno if I will need to rent a room for the event.  I can't find any good pictures online of "small wedding reception" lol.  I can only find pictures of big receptions where there are tables everywhere for multiple families.  I remember at Yakimix in Ortigas where my parents and my fiance's family met each other (and had a great time), we spent around 7k for buffet.  Though for the civil wedding reception, instead of going to get our food, would be nice for people to take the food to us.

Post modified. Please refrain from quoting long posts, use the ^ or @ sign instead.

^I don't want a restaurant that resembles a place for kids.  Some place that has chairs with a cushion (not wooden).

Sis have you seen Oakroom?

Very classy. I attended a post-civil wedding lunch there about a year ago. May curated buffet sila pag lunch for P1k if I am not mistaken. Not sure lang kung meron pa. Hope this helps.

It's a beautiful place for small parties:

Catering - 18,000 (80 pax)
Invites & Souvenirs - 5,000

Pwede sis.

Glad I found this thread. Gusto ko sana less than 100k lang magastos namin. plan namin mga december 2016, that's gonna be our 9th year together or dec 2017 para 10th year  :)

Gusto ko kase may sariling house na muna kase, besides we have kids ha.
