^ me too. we will be renting a van from mla to sagada. it's a last minute booking, nagkayayaan lang. Do you happen to have the phone nbr ng Mapiya-aw Pension? naghahanap pa lang kasi kami ng accommodation and we are a party of 9+ driver. I tried to call this nbr 0921 390.0560. but it's an invalid nbr. Help!  i have called almost all inns and hotels pero ala na talaga.

sis Mapiya-aw's new number is 9052164055. In case di natuloy cousin ko may extra bed naman ako sa room. LOL! 500 sila for a room with shared bath, then extra 60 for hot water which can be for 2 pax daw.

thanks! tinawagan ko na halos lahat ng inns dun, fully booked na raw. Was able to confirm, Ligaya's Guest House and Cottages, bale [textspeak!] buong bahay, kami lang daw mag occupy, it's 300/person/night. Any feedback on this house? anyone heard Malboro in Sagada, malayo po ba yun?

^ Marlboro Country in Sagada, was the main reason why I visited Sagada in the first place! You will love it. Better get a guide and rent a vehicle sis, medyo malayo din siya i-trek. Enjoy

^^ agree, ganda sa Marlboro Country. Malayo nga lang but it is fairly easy to trek even for someone without a climbing experience. Basta sanay ka mag-stroll sa mall and you occasionally take the stairs, kayang-kaya. The terrain is perfect avenue for meditative exercises. Just steer clear of areas with horse dung. Prepare to lose your breath the moment you get to witness a sea of clouds. Hopefully at this time of the year, you get to catch it during sunrise.

Would anyone here know the bus or jeep schedules from Bagabag Junction to Bontoc? Madami ba mga jeeps or buses that ply the route to Bontoc everyday? TIA! Sa April 28 na punta ko, hindi pala ata ganon kadali mag-abang sa junction....

There is a direct VonVon (?) and Emanual Bus that passes here in Isabela to Bontoc para less hassle of transfers that I will experience getting another ride from Banaue to Bontoc but the VonVon passes  by 7am yet and Emanuel at 9.30am, baka mahuli na ako kasi sabi ni sis mslcgrey after lunch ang kita kits sa Sagada even if I take the Vonvon bus.

Parang ayoko naman pumunta dun tom ng 9.30 via Emmanuel then stay sa Bontoc  then leave for Sagada on Saturdat am kasi sayang sa time.

I'm really disappointed, We will just stay in sagada for an overnight. I want to go to Marlboro but it's not possible anymore. We will be leaving here tonight at 8PM then going to baguio to pick up some of my cousins  and wait until 5am before going to sagada. Mga thunders kasi namin, nagiging OA, baka daw kasi anong mangyari sa amin if we will be on the road na madilim pa.. hay naku! naiinis tuloy ako, especially daming mapupuntahan sa sagada na di  masyadong na-advertise. babalikan ko nalang yun. pramis.

speaking of night trip. by own vehicle arpund 4pm we passed by la Trinidad going up to sagada, arrived 9pm. unforgetable experience mahirap mag drive sa zigzag lalo na kung puro fog at dilim ang kalaban mo and considering tuloy tuloy pa ang zigzag di mo makita dapat mag bwelta na pala hahaha buti nalang din may mga nakakasabayan na vehicle kaya follow the leader kami at napapabilis if not ang hirap di mo makita ang daan pramis

Finally, mukhang magpupush through na ang pagpunta ko sa Sagada. I was supposed to go last year with my friends but that didn't happen. This time, hubby and I plan to go in mid-May.

Sayang nga lang wala na pala ang previous thread, todo backread pa naman ako. Anyways, from what I've read, 5k/person would be safe for a 4d/3n stay. Still researching about accommodations. May nakasubok na ba sa Mapiya-aw Pension (medyo malayo lang yata ito from the town center), Ganduyan Inn and Cafe at sa Log Cabin Guest Room?

^^we were supposed to stay in Mapiya-aw but when we arrived, we found it not geographically ok for us. It is still another 50meters (they say) hike up, and with no one to help with the bags medyo mahirap un. Also if you plan to eat in the town center late at night it would be already really dark walking back to their pension. But the place has is in a nice and quiet location. If you have a car with you then ok na siguro dun.

sis foruiz, kamusta naman ang katawan?  hehe...but totally worth it naman!
ok naman ang weather ngayon sa sagada, yun nga lang every afternoon around 4pm umuulan so better have your activities early.
for those who are planning to visit sagada soon, if commute lang kayo then better stay at ganduyan inn or sagada guest house since these two are the nearest to the bus stop. also, they are at the very center of the town. but if you have your own car, then you can choose a different place. better yung mga medyo malayo since they will have a larger parking space. yung mga malapit sa town, halos walang parking space kasi two way road lang yung main road sa sagada.

^^ Tama si sis mslcgrey, umuulan sa hapon so start early. Kami we should have done the Marlboro Sunset tour but since it rained we moved it to Day 2. Nakayanan naman namin ang whole day of activities, good thing may nahire na sasakyan to make it possible. The weather is same as in the lowlands from 9am and it gets cool during the evenings and when it rains. Hay naku, mslcgrey, 9pm din kami nakauwi last night, so super tired din. Tapos may fun run pa tom, good luck sa akin.

Btw, VERY BAD ANG CABLE BUS to those planning to get off at Bagabag Junction from Bontoc like us. We booked our reservations 3 days ahead of schedule then suddenly yesterday we were bumped off from our seats to the center seats because there was a group of 8 who were heading to Manila. Dahil nga mas mahal ang tickets nila (650 pesos as against our 250 to Bagabag) and they were threatening to just go to Manila via Baguio, the owner Mrs. Cue, gave our seats to them! I am so aghast at how they do not honor our reservations. This is how they treat customers!

It was my first time riding that bus because I usually take Victory Liner from Isabela and I could only imagine how uncomfortable the ride will be going straight to Manila. The leg room is just so small and so are the seats. They man I was seating next to was already taking up my space that I had to put up the my arm rest so I could fit. The space is just so cramped with bags on the aisles. I suggest to those using Cable Bus to just get off at Bagabag and flag a Victory or Florida Bus instead most especially if you don't have too many luggage with you since there are many buses that pass anyway.

Ok naman ang naging experience namin riding Ohayami Trans. Most of the time tulog lang kame ng kasama ko, swerte kasi di napuno yung bandang dulo ng bus, naghiwalay kame kaya we have the two seats all to ourselves, Medyo masikip and maliit siya compared with Victory and Florida Bus. Oks naman ang leg room and I think hindi siya kasing lamig ng Florida! LOL The bus ride was smooth, no problem at all.
