Hi sisses! I've been considering taking an MBA for more than a year now. For those of you who took an MBA, do you have classmates with a health related undergrad degree like nursing, PT, etc? Im not sure kasi if tumatanggap yung local schools ng students without a business related undergrad degree. Also, how did you prepare for the entrance exams? Do I have to review ba talaga or buying a gmat reviewer will suffice? Last question, would it matter ba if 2nd or 3rd term nako mag enroll or dapat on the 1st term talaga? TIA!

Yes i believe some universities accept non business grads for MBA. Kelangan mo lang magtake ng additional units on top of the MBA curriculum. I know some nursing grads na nagpursue ng MBA.

In UST, they accept new students kahit hindi first term.

Hi sis to answer your questions.  I think MBA is a multidisciplinary degree.  I did not prepare for the entrance exams pero i wish I had reviewed algebra kasi nangamote ako ng sobra hehe. for freshmen alam ko no choice but to start on the 1st term.

I applied for the second semester, already submitted all the required documents, but still no word from them. Any idea how long it takes for them to get back at you? UPOU will contact you pag malapit na ang UGAT. Kelan ba sched ng exam ngayon? In my case they emailed my around first week of august kasi 3rd week of august exam nun. I'm not sure ngayon due to academic shift.

UGAT for MPM basically focused on the current news and events.

yes dipende sa course. Like sa case ko, I'm taking up MA Urban and Regional Planning. May entrance examination na related sa Urban planning, then i-assess nila kung qulaified ka, syempre kailangan din pasado ka sa exam. May cases din na may interview pa. Try to see kung ano ang curriculum ng papasukan mo na school, kasi kung may ladderized program sila pwede ka muna kumuha nung core subjects and you get a diploma which is a plus point din sa credentials mo, then if you have decided to take master's degree na,  take a few more units then you're done with MA. It's your choice kung itutuloy mo sa MA. Syempre gusto natin na hindi tayo sasablay sa academics at lalong di tayo sasablay sa work. Usually kasi yung mga nag m-MA na kakilala ko, di nila natutuloy dahil sa work kaya sayang yung mga natake nilang units. Good thing sa school namin pag natapos na yung diploma pwede na, then ipagpatuloy nalang sa MA kung may time and money na. Ladderized system is good for graduate studies para sa mga may work and would like to study pa. Good luck!

I'm yet to backread pa but will still post my question kasi baka sakali may mabilisang sumagot. Anong master's degree pwede kong kunin if target kung position is maging Brand Manager. More on marketing ba eto? At san kaya quality and affordable education pag dating dyan. Thanks!

@lionheart2010 - Yes Masters in Marketing or an undergraduate will be enough.  Work experience also helps.

Hi whitebishop. I'm planning to take MTM in UP Diliman this year. Would just like to ask if how was the entrance exam? Mejo kinakabahan ako kasi to take the exam coz i'm working for almost two years na and im not sure kung kayang-kaya ko syang ipasa . hehe. Can you give me an overview of the exam ie. math solving, essays, logic, etc. ? Thanks a lot!
