Plan ko din mag MBA Ateneo or UP kaso graduate ako sa field ng Health care, but i take  Project management training sa UPD..  ang hirap mag decide   may non-thesis nman nag ooffer both Univ  that i mentioned above diba..

Mag iipon muna siguro ako then after a year saka na ako mag MBA

@littlekinselle i think Ateneo has the MBA for Health Professions program. One of my bosses has that MBAH title eh. :-)

There are Grad Schools I know that accepts Student for MBA with Medical background.  They are just required to get additional Subjects pre-requisite to the MBA Subjects.

Hi sis m_lim, i can relate to what you're saying, im also currently helping in our family business, and with the intention of broadening my knowledge on how to manage the business i took up msc marketing, i didn't finish though, but what one thing i realized is although the theory behind is the same for SME's and corporate settings, its quite hard to apply what we're learning, iba kasi talaga ang set up

for instance in our marketing class, we were discussing about tri media advertising, which i think is not yet applicable to most sme's.  I really do think that mba courses are more suited to those people in the corporate setting.

I know that what you want to learn is where you can learn how to manage or deal with the real issues faced by SME's.

Im also looking for full time courses dedicated solely for sme's setting, i have attended a seminar from businesscoach, ok naman learned a thing or two but i think tip of he iceberg lang e, i want more indepth discussions and case studies.

Sis m_lim, I finished my MBA in 2008 and we have a family business. Totoo lang, di masyado nakatulong ang MBA ko.   Masyadong broad ang focus ng MBA, hindi applicable sa lahat ng business.  The biggest thing na naitulong ng MBA ko eh yung networking.

As what others advised, mas ok magshort course so that the lessons are more focused. I actually tried Business Coaching, yung Payroll Accounting and Catering. It's actually very helpful, kasi marunong yung mga nagturo. But check first who's the speaker. Dun sa 2 napuntahan ko, mga prof and may actual business sila kaya I was able to gain additional knowledge.

yup andaming term papers to finish. pero i am glad with the learnings I am getting out of doing those papers.

I highly recommend that you try MTM or research more about it since it is multidisciplinary hindi sya strictly for IT graduates.

Sis kamusta yung project management training mo sa UPD. Ako health care field din but I want to venture into marketing sa med field din. Balak ko din mag mba this year. Good move ba ito? Usually ilang days per week po ang pasok sa mba class 2 years? TIA

I got my Master's degree from UP Open University. Very convenient for me since it's online and distance learning. No need to go to school unless for enrolment and finals
