^that's true karamihan MBA. ako inisip ko rin yan MBA as masters kaso parang saturated na... so here comes MTM... Business Concepts din sya pero for IT.  This curriculum was patterned after Harvard University. Excited na ako sana pumasa ako sa UPCAT lol

^if you're choosing between MA Finance or MBA, based on your background I suggest that you choose MBA. mas relevant sa HR/marketing background mo. kasi MA Finance is highly complex finance, as in derivatives, etc.

Thanks @meimei. Sa ngayon kase nagssupervise din ako ng acctg. dept namin. Though my external accountant kami, but my boss wanted me to eye on this at the same time. As a whole buong admin dept yung pinapasupervise saken. Siguro MBA na nga lang.
I have acknowledgement email na from UP. What's next procedure po? COmplete na din requirements ko. Panu ko makakuha ng sched for exam? =)

Meron ba dito nagtatake ng Master of Public Health or Master of Science in Pharmacology sa UP Manila? Halos lahat kayo MBA. :-)

Ako din im thinking of taking up masters sa UP under college of CAMP. Kaso hindi ako pasok sa 2.0 peRo wala naman ako failing marks. Is there any chance?

Sis, I think strict ang U.P. when it comes to grade requirements for MA students.  If undergrad mo sa U.P., baka mas may consideration pa ata (not really sure din).  Pero if sa iba ka nag-college, strict sila sa grades.

I see DLSU, Ateneo, CEU, Mapua, Lyceum, FEU, AIM, AMA, IAME, Assumption, Asia Pacific, Don Bosco.

San ba madali makakuha ng magandang grades? I just want to erase my college grades. 
Or madaling masteral course? When you take a masteral course, 1 course lang ba dapat, ang next nun dapat for doctorate na? I know sa undergrad pwede ka kasi mag-double-degree eh, meron din bang double-masteral-degree?

Sis, re: your question about an MA degree and PhD, you have to finish your thesis and defend it successfully before you can take a PhD.  So if you want to take your PhD, it's important that you take a thesis track.  You can take as many MAs as you want, actually.  Pero pag sa MA, ganito ang process: coursework (usually 36 units) -> practicum (if applicable) -> comprehensive exams (most MAs) -> thesis.  Then if you have passed your thesis and have successfully defended it, you can apply for a PhD program. Ang process ng PhD pareho rin ng MA, pero mas matagal nga lang (around 3-5 years), and dissertation ang kailangan mong idefend.

However, please note that MA courses in Ateneo are conducted in Katipunan.

Research schools - that depends on your interest, because most, if not all, MA courses involve research.

But yeah, sis agape, I agree with sis meimei; I suggest that you take an MA program that you find interesting. I'm almost done with MA in psych and also finished my MBA in one of the schools I mentioned in my previous reply, and if hindi mo gusto inaaral mo, hindi mo matatapos yung course.  There are so many requirements and paperwork, and you need to find time for it.

Also regarding your college grades, some schools I know (like UP, Ateneo, AIM, UST, DLSU) have a pre-req average grade before you can enter into their program. Sa U.P. 1.75, sa ateneo B+. Not sure about the others.

Nasa Taft Avenue ba ito??? Parang kilala ko ang school na ito, I am also a prof.  Required na kasi ngayon na ang Master's Degree ay aligned sa course na tinuturuan mo.  I am close to enrolling to this school na madaling magbigay ng Master's pero I am having second thoughts. Sayang naman ang ibabayad ko sa tuition kung wala akong matutunan.

Hi mga sis, mataal ko na plan magtake ng masteral sana sa online universities sana. Has anyone tried an online school or may alam ba kayo na maganda quality pero di naman kamahalan? Tinignan ko yung sa up open university pero ang onti pa lang ng courses nila.

but i do know one school in Manila na sobrang daling makuha ng masteral degree. kasi my mom did that. my mom was already in her 50s when her and her co-faculties took that degree, para lang maipasa yung new requirement nung university where they're working as professors. hindi nga sila masyadong pumapasok and halos barbs lang ang thesis (my mom herself said that, so alam kong totoo nga), pero pasado silang lahat. may masteral degree sila, so oks na sila sa requirement nung school where they are teaching.

Can you PM me the name of this school?  I'm certainly not enrolling there, but I am curious about it.
