^ i want to go to australia too. i'm a nurse din like you and wala pa rin ako nasisimulan. kung may experience ba, kelangan pa ba ng bridging program? i have more than 4 years experience na here in the middle east as a  full time nurse.

yes sis, i went to IDP this morning lang. i have experience din requirement talaga yung 3-month bridging program, after nun that's the time na iaacknowledge ka as an Au nurse. carry naman ang mga gastos, no show money needed for student visa, ang gastos talaga lang eh yung ielts, registration fees, mga mailing fees..mga ganon. pero ang problema ko sa ngayon, yung BP, it costs, 10,000 AUD, haha. pero ask ko pa tonight father ko, sana matulungan ako. hay.

^sis yung 10k AUD yan na yung tuition for the 3 month course? Where is IDP pala? IS it a consultancy agency?

^ it's in makati. hindi siya consultancy. everything is free of charge walang mga assist fee etc. pero pag wala talaga ko mahagilap na pang tuition ko, baka mag avail na lang ako ng fly now pay later sa mga consultancy, ganun kasi ginawa nung iba ko friends na andun na ngayon, malaki lang ng unti interest compared sa mga banks dito, wala naman collateral hehe. pupunta na lang ako sa consultancy na nagpaalis sa kanila.

Ganoon talaga sis. Walang murang tuition fee kasi nga international student. Nagtataas pa sila ng tuition fee $500 a year dito sa state namin. Accounting courses $7000, Engineering & IT courses $10000, Nursing courses $9000, Education $8000. --- Per semester. 2 semesters a year. Kung masteral courses mas mahal ata tuition fee nila.

Good news sa mga mag student visa wala ng show money ! Visa fee at tuition fee na lang ang requirements.

Ano pong ibig sabihin nito? Wala nang proof of financial status stuff?

my sister wants to take the bridging program in australia but humihingi sya ng $17000 sa mom ko. is it that much really for 3 months only?

^ sis, BP tuition fee is around 10K AUD, hindi pa kasama doon yung processing fee, etc. I don't know how she arrived with the 17k pero baka estimate niya yun? kasi syempre pocket money pa niya, etc. hehe.

sis alam ko pag may exp, 3mos BP, pag wala 6mos, iba pa yung ipapakuha sayo na parang additional studies like yung Aged Care which is yung pinakasikat bago ka makapag apply sa APHRA.

My ex-bff in Perth is pessimistic about our plans. Instead of supporting us, nananakot pa na dami nale-lay off and marami daw undesirable reptiles dun. She might be telling the truth pero parang nafi-feel ko lang na she doesn't want us to go to Oz. Yung isang bff ko naman who used to stay in Sydney encourages us to proceed with the application. Sana other sisses here from Oz can share their experience in their current states.

kumusta naman sis ang score nya sa self-scoring na ginawa nyo? kung mataas naman, why not go for 175. at least, hindi kayo malilimit sa isang state lang. kung kulang sa score, 176.

naku sis, oks lang yang nega-positive vibes ng bff's mo. at least, you have two sides of the coin, di ba. in the end, kayo pa rin naman ang masusunod if you would go for it or not. kami, nalalapit na ang mga araw to take that plunge rin. may kaba pa rin, as usual. hopefully, the economy will be okay kapag dumating na yung time to settle for good.

Hi sis cind3r3lla. We've decided to proceed na rin, we're waiting nalang sa result ng skill assessment then IELTS na hubby. Depende sa results kung anong visa aapplyan namin pero we're hoping na makahabol before July 2012. Anong date po pala IED niyo and what state ang target nyo sis?

I just moved here in oz from nz last year and never had the chance to settle yet in melbourne due to my work requirement, i travel around australia at least 2x a month....But with travelling around,, i appreciate the beauty of this country and the endless opportunities....hope to meet some of the girltalkers in sydney

mga sis, what's happening in july ba?  ano mababago sa immigration policies nila? 

another question, kailangan ba assessed na talaga ng assessing body before you can apply for the visa?

^afaik, kailangan mo muna ma-assess. kasi pag ok ka na, maghahanap ka na ng school mo. hindi ka pwede kumuha ng visa kung wala ka pa naman school kasi hindi mo matatantya gaano ka katagal doon.

^ i mean for general skilled visa sis.  ang hirap kase ng assessment for dentists.  i want to skip it and go ahead with applying for the gen skilled visa kaagad.  nasimulan ko na actually yung assessment kaya lang super magastos and may time limit. the occupational english test and board exams for assessment administered by the australian dental council expire after 2 years.  ang dami ko na nagastos tapos i stopped kase i got pregnant tapos ngayon pa-expire na ulit yung english test ko, another 30k na naman before i take the board exam.  kakafrustrate na!
