Pasabat po hehe, the virus will only occur in the Windows Part of your Mac if you use dual boot system. In such case ang mavivirus lang is yung Windows part mo, but the one running on OS X, impossible ma-virus unless may bago nang virus ngayon na nagcrocross-over ng OS hehe.  So kung madalas ka pa ring magWindows sa Mac, install an anti-virus ON YOUR WINDOWS OS. Personally, I never use windows na. Sa office na lang ako nagWiwindows at least dun I am sure protected ang system ;-)

^Tama Open Office is free (therefore not illegal haha) to download sis. Kung basic use lang naman, okay na sya kesa bumili ka ng Office for Mac.

May MS Office for Mac. For me, Windows user ako all my life pero sobrang dali nung lumipat ako sa Mac and I will never go back to Windows na talaga.

Stayed home from work this morning to await delivery of my MBA. It made it 2 hours early

Fully charging the battery before I power it up..my first Mac. Excited!  Didn't expect to have the disc of the MS Office Mac 2011 I had pre-installed. How cute is the re-install drive!  I would have given Open office a try but since they had it in the Apple store i went ahead and bought it.

I tried iWork, na-mentioned ko na dito pero mas gusto ko MS Office kasi nakasanayan ko na rin.

since international warranty naman ang apple, if i buy outside the country, wala naman magiging problem with warranty and repair just in case, right? btw, cheaper kaya by how much if i buy sa HK instead of buying here sa pinas?

yes. almost same format,ganun din ang features. you can save it different word format for windows din.

Crap talaga. Nasira ang laptop ko. I had to bring it sa Power Mac. 2 weeks ko pa malalaman since Holy Week next week. Ang mahal ng quote sa akin kung yung initial diagnosis ng technician nila ang pagbabasehan. I am hoping na minor glitch lang dahil ang mahal talaga!

new mac user rin ako nasabak ko na finally doing heavy graphics happy naman ako tho was so close to opting for an mba pero dyahe the specs..bought mine prematurely kasi lumabas rin the new ones di naman ako nainggit or nagselos harhar. since may sentimental value naman itong mac and its loaded up parang sulit naman yung last few months na i've been using it eh paid off na. pero wala i'm not really techy when it comes to downloading. still learning and discovering more...so far i know i've converted kung may lumabas na MBA na 15inch yun i'll surely get!

^After 2 weeks pa malalaman pero I suspect its the video card. May purple and green lines sa screen. When I googled bakit ganun, someone in a forum mentioned about NVidia 8600 na may problem. Eto pa ang weird, my brother who has a desktop PC (Windows) ginamit ko tapos nag-crash din yesterday. May lines din sa kanya. When I checked, NVidia 8600 din video card niya! I don't know if its coincidence or what.

Tapos yesterday ko lang din nalaman na kung video card nga ang problem, buong logic board ang papalitan. Ang price eh makakabili na ko ng isang Mac computer

^Ayan nga yung nakita ko! haha Antayin ko ang diagnosis nitong Power Mac. Dapat lang libre nila palitan tong akin. May paper silang binigay sa akin about my MBPro, nasa 2008 ang model nito so pasok talaga.

Yung isa din forum na-mentioned nga yung problem ng NVidia 8600 tapos napa-check ako ng computer ko. Aba! Eh yun nga ang video card ko. Kung mamalasin nga naman o.
