hi doc she. im 22 years old. may nakakapa po akong bukol sa right breast ko malapit sa nipple. nagalaw po sya at maliit lang. is it a sign of breast cancer? wala po akong nararamdaman na kahit na anong masakit. pero nasakit po sya pag magkakaroon na ko. and the lump doesn't go away. pero walang sakit. natatakot ako.


please reply doc she. and ask ko lang po kung tumatanggap kayo ng philcare card? what hospital po kayo? and what's your schedule po.

by the way po , last year ko pa po nakapa tong bukol na to.

Being a breast surgeon, have you encountered a patient who had Leser Trelat Sign prior to breast cancer diagnosis?  I know this is rare but I am just curious if there have been such cases in the Phils.

Doc she, I am exclusively breastfeeding my baby which I am not planning to stop anytime soon. However I felt a lump sa left breast ko alst yr, had my ultrasound this jan, sabi category 3, it means d sure, oby said stop mag pa breastfeed para ulet ultrasound then para mas clear result and maconclude na if its benign or not. I want a second opinion, to whom should I consult kasi I know there is a procedure than can be done na hindi mag hinder sa breastfeeding journey ko, please help thanks!

Update, so I went to a known breast surgeon sa Makati med. What I thought is for consultation lang turns to be biopsy na kaagad agad, so hindi ako prepared to spent 19k pero inisip ko na lang for my own peace of mind, malalaman ko ang result next week. One thing for sure though, hindi sya milk, tissue sya which needs to be examined. Hindi sya masakit and I was able to breastfeed pa rin though my blood ng konti so I pump and dump.
I am praying na ok ang result and hindi sya malignant. Next time I'll ask na muna ang procedure na gagawin before ako humiga sa bed, Naloloka pa rin ako kasing walang kaabog abog, or explanation man lang na ibiopsy na pala ako. Hindi tuloy nacover ng health card ko.

^ Hi sis kumusta result mo? I had my breast ultrasound last monday and got the result today which indicates BIRAD3- probably benign, I hope as well that it is not malignant, anyway I'll go Makati Med on monday as well to meet my OB and probably a surgeon. I'm thinking kahit hindi sya malignant ipatanggal ko na din para wala akong iniisip.

Hi. I just don't know whom to talk to. I'm scared and confused on what I should do.

I'm 23 years old and had a breast exam last december as part of pre-employment exam. The doctor felt lumps on my breast, like ridges. But she cleared me when I said I'm about to have my period. But after my period, hindi naman nawala yung ridges na yun. This January, may parang pantal malapit sa areola. Hindi ko pinansin kasi nga inisip ko baka nakagat lang ng langgam or ng kung ano na insekto. Tapos nagmukha siyang skin asthma. Occasionally, may skin asthma talaga ko pero sa ibang parts kaya inisip ko ganun lang din siya at mawawala din naman. Pero eto nga May na, hindi pa rin nawala at nagspread na siya. Dati kasing laki lang ng 5cents pero ngayon kasing laki na ng piso. Natatakot ako na indication na yun na may breast cancer ako. Natatakot ako kasi hindi ako handa. At alam kong hindi rin handa pamilya ko. Currently kasi, may breast cancer yung mom ko. Hindi pa tapos treatments. Sobrang draining physically, emotionally, at financially. Natatakot akong malaman na ako rin. Sobrang natatakot ako.

I have Stage 1 breast cancer, nuclear grade 1 measuring 1.1 cm.  I opted to undergo total mastectomy last end of June.  The pathology report stated that mine was ILC (invasive lobular carcinoma).  E-cadherin test was done further but the findings were IDC (invasive ductal carcinoma).  Naconfuse tuloy ako.

Nung ILC pa sya, sabi no need na for chemo since less than 2 cm ang tumor and early stage pa.  Wala din naman kasi nagpositive sa mga lymph nodes ko na tinest.  Pero nung lumabas ang results na IDC sya, now sabi may possibility for chemo kasi lagpas ng 1 cm.

May nakaexperience na po ba ng ganitong case?  What's the difference between ILC and IDC and their treatments ba?

hello mga sis..buti naisipan ko buksan account ko sa gt. Last month a week before my period may nakapa akong bukol (oval shape) sa left breast ko. Nagpunta ko sa ob ko para ipa-check. Kinapa nya pero sabi nya very movable naman daw ang bukol....positive daw siya na benign at hormonal lang daw ang bukol sa breast ko. Sabi nya by October magpa sono-mammogram daw ako para sigurado pa din. Asked nya ako kung nagpa breastfeed ako..sabi ko sa panganay ko..oo (6years od na siya) pero sa bunso ko (1 1/2 years old) hindi na kasi after ko manganak i had postpartum preeclampsia kaya may mga meds ako to lower my bp na hanggang ngayon tine-take ko pa din. Nung nagpacheck up ako sa kanya around 2 cm daw laki ng bukol pero na-notice ko after mg mens ko lumiit siya talaga pero hindi siya nawala. Nalulungkot ako pero hindi ako natatakot..hindi ko din alam kung bakit. Hoping talaga ako na sana sa sono mammogram benign siya talaga. My aunt kasi have breast cancer...pinabayaan nya kasi natakot siya na magpa check up...marinig sasabihin ng doctor...nung lumala nya saka siya ngayon nagpapachemo. Kaya medyo paranoid din ako.

hello sis. Ako rin may mga breast mass. 5 sa kaliwa at 1 malaki sa kanan. Nurse ako. Sa takot ko pinatanggal ko agad ang bukol sa right breast ko. Will this affect results?  I went for a session during menstruation and I got nodules to show in the ultrasound.  Turned out to be probably benign, but i read somewhere that after 6 months, hers turn up malignant. Got me scared for awhile there.

Hi sis, I've got my ultrasound done 1 week after the first day of my period. The result is Birads 3 - Probably benign. HIndi ko na hinintay 6 mos nagpunta na ko sa pgh to check. Biopsy na agad..but sa Nov 17 pa ang result. Hope na benign siya talaga.

I came up probably benign with my result as well.  Should I decide to have biopsy and take out the nodules, can I have augmentation done narin para one time big time na?

Hi! In your case, since you're breast feeding but with  suspicious palpable mass, you can do the ultrasound anytime.

I have patients seeking second opinion with the same stories as yours that they were not even given proper explanatin and immediately biopsied and after that shocked with how much they have to pay.
