day tour lang kami ng windsor castle/bath and stonehenge so few hours lang kami sa bath. but i agree its a nice little town, pero maliit lang talaga ata sya na siguro two days pwede na (depende sa trip nyo ako kase enough na ang two days pag small town). my hubby went there for a weekend to watch a rugby match, sabi nya maliit lang talaga. dun sa bath, there is a small square tapos me mga local coffee shops. trip namin ni hubby mga coffee shops. mukhang trip nyo din. 

i love scones too pero strawberry jam and butter ako. i havent tried that clotted cream.. i will nga.

She, Exeter is in the county of Devon before the county of Cornwall Medyo south west na siya. There's a stag party kasi in Devon so I have to stay in Exeter kasi London will be too far na.

Do you think kaya daytrip lang yung Bath? We're prolly going to take the train to and from London. Hehe yeah, we like sitting in cafes and having coffee tapos people watching

Try clotted cream, super sarap! They should have it in M&S, look for the Cornish ones, super yummy!

yeah kaya ang daytrip sa Bath, kung ang bath attraction mismo ang agenda nyo, maliit lang sya, mga one hour or less lang siguro kami dun.

tapos sa stonehenge nga nagpicture lang kami tapos we went back na to the bus. wala naman makikita aside from the stones.

Has anyone here gone to Stonehenge?  We've decided to use our free day to see Stonehenge, but I was wondering what else should we visit since we're going out of London na rin?  Is Windsor Castle ok (do you get to go into the actual castle)?  What about Oxford?

^I have been to all three. Well, that was like eons ago when we lived in London. We had a car back then so my Dad would take us out every weekend. I don't think you can combine Stonehenge with Oxford or Windsor since they're in different directions. Windsor is nearer London so that's doable as a short day trip via train. Oxford is further out. While Stonehenge is a whole day outing.

Are you planning on renting a car, take the train or do a day tour package?

^^ melvel, stonehenge is totally out of the way. we're going to go see it next month just because we are driving to exeter and it's on the way. windsor naman is closer to london by train and when you get off, nasa town ka na talaga. you can go inside some parts of the castle and the castle grounds. tapos may town outside the castle with lots of cafes and shops imho, it's better to go to windsor than stonehenge. have you considered bicester village? that's the outlet village in london.

We have one free day, but we don't want to be out of London the entire day para hindi naman masyado pagod.  We're taking one of those bus tours sana.

I'm looking at some tour packages are there's a Stonehenge-Bath-Windsor, Stonehenge-Windsor, Stonehenge-Oxford.   Ano ba mas maganda sa Oxford and Windsor? Sure na kami sa Stonehenge kasi, one more town would be nice.

^ si sis she nag tour ng stonehenge-bath-windsor. for me, i like windsor more kasi i like castle, palaces and houses tsaka for me, we were in windsor half day and medyo nabitin ako.

^^since you're doing a packaged day tour, my vote goes for the Stonehenge-Windsor tour. The other tours will be bitin for you since there are just so much to see and too little time since travel time pa lang mahaba na. At least with the Stonehenge-Windsor tour you'll only be concentrating on two places. Plus you'll get back to London na di masyadong pagod.

^kim i had a scone last sunday kase you made me crave but i only went to an irish supermarket, walang clotted cream. i thought they would have it there. i really  have to go to M&S.

melvel the windsor-bath-stonehenge is a full day tour. we left early morning and didnt go back to London ng mga 5pm siguro (can't remember kase summer so maliwanag pa kahit gabi basta i know late afternoon na but we were able to have dinner pa in a nice resto after that tour.). matagal naman sa windsor castle - we had enough time to go inside the castle and mag roam around, after lunch na kami dumating sa bath. hindi naman nakakapagod, nakatulog pa kami sa bus kase nga malayo ng konti ang bawat isa. i havent been to oxford.

Thanks everyone!  We actually are not interested in Bath.  More of Stonehenge, Windsor and Oxford.  I'm looking at the tour packages now and most of them are around GBP75, inclusive of entrance fees, lunch and tea.

^don't miss bath!! its so pretty there!! we took the windsor-stonehedge-bath tour end of december bath is so pretty, its a quaint little town. we were there during the christmas season and the town was lit up like a miniature town you can see in miniature train tracks ang ganda (di ko alam if ganun itsura nya buong taon)

^little_princess are you a fan of harry potter? if yes i'd say it is. we did the walking tour of harry potter so mga location sa London, the bridge, me pinto pa, me market, and ang bookstore na makaluma. im not a fan so i couldnt relate! but my two friends were huge fans so they enjoyed it. nag-enjoy lang ako sa train station kase meron silang nilagay na cart so cute magpapicture parang papasok ka sa wall. for me sayang ang £20 pero i was with my friends and gusto talaga nila un.

^ parang 50-50 kami with harry potter so skip muna and will do it if we have time. we're decided to go to bath and GBP18 lang train tickets per person so pwede na will also go to kensington palace as buckingham will open summer pa. may tour ng after hours but it's GBP70 head, super mahal!

Joining this thread. We will be in Letterkenny, Ireland this September for my sister's wedding. After the wedding we will have a side trip to Dublin then to London.

I'm searching Aerlingus website for Dublin - London Heathrow flights.

3 days 2 nights lang kame sa London. I hope we can make most of our stay there.

Here are my questions sana to sisters based in London:

1. Child friendly ba mga places sa London? My baby will be 11 months at that time. Mahihirapan ba kame?
2. ano bang location maganda maghanap ng hotel sa london? Kahit hindi sa city mismo yung malapit lang sa city?

1. a lot of restaurants would have re-heating facilities for bottled milk or baby food. ask na lang the waiters. i think as long as you have a stroller, ok naman and free toilets nila unlike other European countries.

2. depends where you want to stay and how much is your budget. the last hotel we stayed at is in Holiday Inn Bloomsbury and parang 1-2 minute walk lang to the tube station and quiet area siya.
