Anyone here tried Singapore-Malaysia by bus/train?

tip lang sis to those who want to take the bus. buy tickets ahead of time if you are traveling on public holidays in SG and MY. kasi mapapamahal kayo at the same time mabili maubos. i remember when we travelled last chinese new year 1 week away pa lang halos wala na akong makitang ticket so we had to settle with another bus company lucky it was still okay but the condition of the bus is a bit old na unlike sa starmart.

 kasi we're planning of going to SG, then pasyal sa KL. will it be cheaper or possible to go back here in PH from KL instead of going back to SG para umuwi ulit dito? sorry first time to travel. i have no idea, nagreresearch palang po. thanks annd God bless

Higpit immigration from KL to Sg.. Group na kame nagtravel pero nahold kame 30 mins kinuhaan kame ng pictures,  fingerprint scan & interview pa.. yung iba  lahi kawawa pinabalik...  buti na lang previous travel namin kame magkakasama ng cousins & hubby ko..  Hinintay naman kame ng Bus..

by the way, me bagong process ang KL immigration ngayon ha, there's a fingerprint scan na tapos it will be printed in a sticker na aalisin lang ng immigration officer once umalis kayo ng KL.  Dunno lang sa JB na immigration kung ganon din.  Sa LCCT kasi kami ni hubby when we got back to KL from Pinas.  So ingatan ang sticker, it looks like a seal of those serial nos. from microsoft CDs

Hi Sis! Im so excited next year kasi first time namin ni BF sa SG! At ito ang magiging honeymoon trip namin.. =) kaya gusto ko sana wag kami ma hassle.. ang dami kong tanong, i hope matulungan nyo ko..
1. magkano aeroline bus ngayon SG to KL? Sino mas mura sa kanila nung Smartbus ba yun?
2. Yung Vivo City ba dun ang bilihan ng ticket ng lahat ng Bus Companies dun? I mean, pwede kami mamili dun kung sino sa mga bus companies ang mas mura ang fare?
3.Kasi dating namin ng SG mga 9pm na, 24hours ba ang bus doon? Anytime pwede pumunta ng KL at bumalik ng SG from KL?
4. Ano ba mas maganda online bus booking o mas ok kung dun na ko bumili?
5. From SG airport,malapit nalang ba yung bus terminal going to KL? Ano pwede naming sakyan na mura lang going to bus terminal?

Taking the bus is faster. You have two options: take the bus from SG that leaves at 10pm and arrives in KL at 4am or take the public bus to Johor Bahru's Larkin bus terminal then take a bus to KL from there. The second option is much cheaper.

You need to bring your passport and ticket back to the Philippines, in case the immigration asks for it.

Depending on where you're staying in Singapore, the fare to Johor can be as low as SG$1.70. Buses from Johor to KL starts at RM 24. If you're taking the direct bus from Singapore to KL, bus fares starts at SG$26 ata.

Food expenses also varies on where you eat. Eating at hawker places would be around RM 7 - 10 per meal.

Hi sis! I just want to ask kung from SG airport ano sasakyan namin papuntang Johor? We will arrive in SG Airport 9pm. may bus pa kayang papuntang Johor from airport? how much kaya? then Johor to KL na.. Mas mura ba talaga yung SG-Johor-KL? Kesa SG-KL? thanks talaga sis! =)

Haha..oo nga. I never knew about that until I got held. I travelled alone kasi I just want some time alone then ayun na-hold ako sa immigration. Nag-sink in lang sa akin kung anong nangyayari nung pinapasok ako sa isang room and kinuhanan thumbmarks. Di na ako umabot sa interview kasi may tinawagan yung immigration ewan ko lang kung sino then pinaalis na ako. Buti na lang naintay ako nung bus na sinakyan ko (Aeroline)...1 day lang kasi ako KL then balik na.

i know by bus/train yung nakalagay sa topic nitong thread. hehe. pero i tried mock booking sa tiger, PhP2150 lang ang RT tickets. mas mabilis pa. one hour lang

we'll try this too this November pa naman. siguro magbubus lang kami ng papuntang KL tapos plane na pabalik.

Nung nag-SG kami ni hubby ko, sa golden mile complex kami sumakay ng bus, yung hotel kasi namin sa SG nasa bugis kaya nilakad lang namin yung bus station from hotel. Iniwan namin yung baggages namin sa hotel para wala kaming dala sa KL. 11:55pm yung alis ng bus namin. Nasa KL kami ng 4 or 4:30am yata yun. Super bilis nung bus! Hindi kami nakatulog. Kaya pagbalik namin sa SG, nag-sleepers train kami from KL to SG. Sa woodlands yung stop nung train. 9 or 10pm yata kami sumakay ng train, 6am kami nasa SG.

^sis iniwan niyo sa room yung mga gamit niyo sa hotel or sa front desk lang? i mean since overnight yung byahe niyo pa KL. pwede kayang magpaiwan lang ng gamit?

hubby and i naman went to SG via bus (StarMArt Express).  2x kami nag-SG, both via bus.  Pero next time siguro, try namin mag-plane kasi mas mabilis, though patay naman sa Airport tax ng from SG to KL.

I traveled from Singapore to Johor and Malacca by bus. The only pain in the neck for me is crossing the SG-MY border. Argh. Not sure ha, but is it just me or they really discriminate against Filipinos?

kami naman, we will take the bus para makatipid kami sa accommodation, para yung one night namin will spend it sa bus hehe


talaga sis roxysexy walking distance lang ang Bugis sa Golden Mile Complex? san dun ang hotel nyo? we plan to stay sa SEA Hotel.

^^nope not only Pinoys pero if for us pinoys, you can blame it to those who are crossing the boarders in the hope of having their stays extended (ex. mageexpire na sa KL tapos lipat lang ng SG e di me addition na naman tapos pagbalik ng KL new 1 month ulit, esp. yong mga naghahanap ng work sa SG).   pero pag me ipapakita ka naman na documents ng travel mo, not much question.

we tried the starmart express bus from sg to kl last october. we took the 11:30pm trip. para sleep lang sa bus. yung mga time na gising namin is yung pagbaba ng immigration tapos sleep ulet. hahaha. comfortable naman sya. and onti lang kasabay namin sa bus. wala pa ata kaming 10 plus driver and conductor.

^ usually kasi pag di peak season or long weekend or holiday, wala masyadong passengers.  pero once na holiday na esp. dito sa KL, punuan lahat ng bus.

My cousin and I traveled via bus from Melaka to Singapore in 2010. The Immigration on both sides were a breeze! Siguro dahil complete naman ang dala namin na hotel booking and onward travel from Singapore. Gulat nga ako na medyo madami palang bad experiences by some sisses.

yung mga na-held ng immig, kelan kayo nagsipagtravel? kasi i just went there mga second quarter last year and i was solo, wala naman akong naging prob sa immig both in sg (changi) and kl (sg-my border).
