^yes meron, search mo lang sa multiply yung 'joppa'. she sells sample baggies na tig-P50 din.  i have yet to try my joppa samples kasi im tryingout PA muna, since yun yung naka sale. 

i wore PA golden sunrise today and weird, im expecting it to be a darker or me or perhaps more deeper shade of yellow than yukon gold rush pero the result was like whitish-grayish on me.  di ko ma-explain haha... going back to yukon gold rush tomorrow and baka yun na lang ang iorder ko na FS.

ano naman yung PA?? sorry mmu beginner pa lang ako okay ill search na lang sa multiply

I've tried Luminare. Very light on the skin and lasts long. affordable also.

@wkt: you probably got the reformulated golden sunrise. the old formulation which was mixed for testing purposes only was very yellow. upon reformulation, they made it for those with medium light, golden olive tones.

@shosin: i love luminare's sunny bliss re-fine powder for my dark undereye circles.

i soooo love PA's yukon gold rush. i actually love it more than buffd's moccacin kaya im ordering fs jars na and since its on sale, im getting 2 FS jars!

i always ask my hubby is the shade is ok on me whenever im trying out a new shade and when i tried PA's yukon gold rush he said ang ganda nga daw, it looks very natural and "bumata" at "kuminis" daw ako.  men!  nakakaloka ang terms nila...parang feeling ko tuloy ako si madam auring na nagsuot ng blusang itim.

btw, im now trying out joppa's grecian gold, i got the same whitish-grayish shade on me.  not for me!  parang fail din yung ibang joppa samples ko kasi they all seem to be too beige-y on the bag.  i got full coverage med 2.5, morning dew na burnt sienna & grecian gold, and finpow in SR buff.

I love mineral makeup and try to stick to using them as much as possible, but I hate how messy loose powders get! The first brands I tried were Ellana and Bare Escentuals. Bare Escentuals is so amazing but I just find loose powders so messy and take too much time to apply. So now, I'm focusing on buying only pressed mineral makeup.
I bought Youngblood's Pressed Mineral Foundation and unfortunately, I hate it. It's P2,450 from Beauty Bar and it's just so not worth the money at all. Was very disappointed with the product and I wish I'd bought Laura Mercier's Mineral Pressed Powder instead.

I'm intrigued about the LM Mineral line. Heard good reviews on their mineral powder but I'm kinda on the fence about purchasing one coz MMU tends to look powdery and doesn't really photograph well. I love MMU --- I have emptied lots of jars and still have some unused ones (sealed) --- but I love the look that liquid/cream foundies give. I have to admit though, that I am considering rekindling with MMU (they're so much cheaper and skin-friendly, haha). Gotta whip out my 4-in-1 Pressed Foundie from PurMinerals!

Question for mmu lovers,

I've been thinking pagkatapos ng bb cream phase ko, would you recommend mmu than bb creams? Gusto ko kasi powder lang ilalagay ko sa face wala ng iba.  Do you think mas ok mga mineral powder/foundation than bb creams? Thanks!

ive only tried bb cream once and i didnt like it.  siguro factor na din yung oily skin ko but the thing i didnt like about it is that almost all bb creams are comedogenic.  anyway, maganda talaga ang mineral foundies.  try mo sis.

anyway, im now onto finding finishing powders.  i dont have that many samples/brands to compare pero so far i find na maganda nga yung Simple radiance ng Joppa.  it looks pretty normal under fluorescent light pero under the sun it has those tiny shimmers.  i like that effect  

i also have ellana's super sparkle finpow na ellow submarine and its supposed to be a highlighter pero the effect it gives is a lot more subdued compared to tradmu highlighters.  actually, ok siya na finpow if you're after the dewy look.  like joppa's SR, hindi naman siya sparkly under normal lights.  under the sun (or perhaps under bright lights or camera flash), mas sparkly siya than joppa's SR.  i think despite the *super sparkle* tag, it is still very wearable. 

i'll try to mix it with with ellana's espresso con panna next time.  baka mas better ang effect

been using blusche for two year na yata. from primer, foundie, veil, kabuki brush... wow my vanity kit comprises mostly of blusche pala. but i changed my lipstick from blusche to body shop

Hi everyone,

I'm super new to mineral makeup. I got Monave from the Rockwell Moonlit Bazaar last week lang, and sobrang good decision talaga yun. Sophie was super nice and helped me out with swatching and sobrang nagaalangan pa ako nun kasi parang ang light ng foundation that she recommended for me. When I tried it the next day, I felt like I looked too gray (the shade is Teporah), kasi sanay ako with my warm-toned concealer acting as foundation. Pero after a few minutes, the foundation blended so well into my skin, nagulat talaga ako.

The clincher for me was my second day of MMU pa. I stood outside in the noontime sun for thirty minutes waiting for a taxi and ang init talaga, as in tumatagaktak ang pawis ko noon. Pero ayun, Christmas traffic kasi kaya sumuko na ko and walked back home. Pag-uwi ko the first thing I did was to look in the mirror, and my makeup was intact! Shiny lang because my skin gets really oily when it's hot, pero yun lang talaga! After blotting, my face looked fresh again, like I just applied my makeup. The day after that, I bought myself na rin a flat top brush for better application.

I'm waiting na lang for next month, I'm totally lemming for blush and a couple of eyeshadow shades. Siguro brush set na rin; I'm still trying to decide what the best brand would be.
