Hi mga sis! yes! done backreading... may bago akong tatambayan...

Nikon D3000 user po, problem is di ko pa rin siya gamay. Mag 1 year na sakin yung cam pero lately lang ako talaga nagkaroon ng time kumalikot. Di pa ako nakatry ng other lense aside from the kit lense. Nagbabasa din ako sa net ng mga tips.

As I read sa mga discussions dito, need ko muna mapag aralan ng todo yung kit lense ko bago mag invest sa new lense. Pero dahil makulit ako and itchy to have another one, magtatanong na ako para makaipon. Ano ba ang pwedeng pang all around lense? gusto ko kasing subject ang sceneries and children... 

And since D3000 gamit ko, kelangan po ba talaga AF-S ang lense ko? ang mahal... ANo ba magiging difference pag AF lang binili ko?

Last  Yung lense na 50mm f/1.8 (as i understand pag ganito ang nakalagay di ba fix yung distance at apperture ) pano po siya adjust to meet yung gusto mong product na pics? Sana may makagets ng tanong hehe Di ko din kasi sure kung tama ba ang tanong ko in the first place...

the kit lens is a good all-around lens.

hindi naman "kailangan" na af-s yung lens mo, but it would be a great help if it is. since your camera doesn't have a focusing motor, you will have to manually focus on your subject if af lang yung lens mo, which can be really frustrating.

the only thing that's fixed in 50mm is the focal length, you can still control its aperture until i guess f/16 or f/22. the exposure triangle consists of shutter speed, aperture and iso, make use of those three to achieve the effect you wanted for your photo.

that's a wise choice sis. utilized mo muna kitlens mo. andami kaya nagagawa non. you have to read the manual of your slr para you know the right buttons to switch especially if you like learn more about your gear.
read photography articles, join a group (pedeng group of the same dslr that you have), participate in photo shoots. . and lastly, click lang ng click.

kitlens pa din ako ngayon. kitlens ng d90 ko. hindi ko pa balak magpalit. baka invest nalang sa flash or other strobes.

I currently own a Nikon D7000, pero di pa ko makapag-invest sa magagandang lens kasi may pinaglalaanan pa kame ni hubby-to-be (we're getting hitched 10 months from now), kaya practice practice lang gamit ang kitlens.

Naku sis pasensya na, I think it's FBs fault! Kasi when I browse lang sa Picture Documents, okay siya but when I browse sa FB ayun pixelated na.

i'm not sure if i'm on the right thread but can you make an image/subject clear with blurred background from a point and shoot camera? may manual settings din naman camera ko, i just don't know what to use (aperture, shutter speed, etc.).  pag nasa automatic na settings naman ako tas may kinukuhaan ako na close up shots, nabu-blur yung background.  i tried following the aperture and shutter speed of it and take another shot in manual settings pero di na ganun ang lumalabas.

^First of all, you have to understand the exposure triangle(shutter speed, ISO, aperture).  To get a sharp subject with blurred background, you have to set the camera's aperture to its lowest and adjust the ISO and shutter speed accordingly.

Ako din sis, more than a year ko na nabili si DSLR D3000, pero blurred and grainy at madilim [textspeak!] iba...gusto ko sumali sa mga organization ng pareho kong camera para magpaturo, di ko naman alam kung saan...may lam ba kau mga sisses? gusto ko talaga matuto at magphotoshoot eh..sama naman sa mga photowalk hehe

Shots are blurred because the camera captures the motion which can be caused by camera shake/movement of the subject.  This happens when we use a slow shutter speed.  Its either we use a tripod to prevent camera shake, shots with moving subject will still be blurred, or use a lower aperture and high ISO to increase the shutter speed.  HTH

when you say setting the aperture to its lowest, it mean lower number? how about for ISO and shutter speed?  sorry ha, i'm not so familar pa with these.
