I had mine removed last Oct. Sa left side din na impacted wisdom tooth. Mga ilan days din tumagal yun swelling ng sakin, and mabigat and almost abot nga sa baba. Akala ko nga abnormal na, pero nagsubside din naman.

just removed may left impacted wisdom tooth together nung wisdom tooth ko din sa taas niya (but not impacted). this is c/o dr. charlston uy sa kanyang new clinic sa may pasay-taft, soft opening nila this week. mas malapit ito compared sa may UST since taga south ako. if you are coming from gil puyat (from world trade center, once you are in perpendicular na sa lrt line, turn left, yung papuntang la salle not yung papuntang cartimar. then once nakita nyo yung security bank na malaki sa right side nyo, bumaba na kayo, nasa kabilang side lang yung clinic ni doc, beside the small metrobank).

he charged me 4k for may impacted wisdom tooth and 1k for the not impacted wisdom tooth.

yung impacted, lasted for several minutes pero hindi ako natagalan. wala ring ngalay feeling sa mouth. yung not impacted mabilis lang din. parang less than 2 minutes.

1 hr before the extraction, he advised me pala to take hemostan 500 mg for bleeding, amoxicillin 500mg for antibiotics, and mefenamic acid 500 mg. i took dolfenal, pero ang prinescribed niya saken after is ponstan, so magponstan na lang kayo.

if i will rate the pain na naexperience ko yesterday.. siguro 2/10 lang. ang msakit lang na maffeel mo is yung injection, pero hindi rin naman talaga siya super sakit. parang normal na injection lang din sa braso yung feeling. personally, i will even regard it as painless because of the anesthesia. sobrang kapal ng feeling ko kahapon, tadtad talaga ako ng anesthesia.

sa mga natatakot, wag kayo masyadong kabahan. sa mga maguundergo ng surgery kay dr. uy, dont worry. he sees to it na hindi ka kakabahan during surgery. sinasabi niya yung mga gagawin niya. konting react ko lang, sasabihin niya "mabilis lang to.. ito tinatanggal ko na lang.. hindi to masakit, wala kang mararamdaman.. ayan tapos na."saka priority nya na hindi ka masaktan. lagi niyang tinatanong kung may pain kang naffeel, kung masakit ba yung ginagawa niya. pag yes, dadagdag sya ng anesthesia. basta sabihin mo lang sa kanya kng may pain at magdadagdag sya ng anesthesia. ang naging prob ko lang is, may TMJ dysfunction ako (i currently wear a splint), at yung tooth ko na impacted e connected daw dun sa jaw ko, kaya nung ineextract niya, parang naffeel ko yung sakit sa jaw ko na same feeling kapag nagcclick siya several times in a short period of time. pero hindi rin masyadong masakit. lahat ng pain (if u should call it one) is sobrang bearable.

may malapit na mercury drug along that line so bumili agad ako ng prescribed niya. almost 1k lahat, then ininom ko agad para before daw magwear off yung anesthesia e wala na akong maramdamang pain. true enough, wala rin akong naramdaman. and ngayon, hindi na manhid yung left part ng face ko, pero ang pinakamasakit lang na nafeel ko yesterday is, yung feeling na, parang nasapak ka few hours before, pero ngayon mo lang siya nafeel. haha hindi siya talaga masakit na nakakaiyak. pero alam mong uncomfortable at may area na hndi dapat matouch ang tongue mo.

i highly recommend dr. uy. magaling na, mura pa, at ang pinakagusto ko talaga sa kanya is of course, yung painless surgery at yung sinesecure ka niya na everything's gonna be alright during the process. this is my first ever tooth extraction and prior to this, i don't know the feeling at all kaya kabado talaga ako. he also gave me his personal calling card, para kung may concerns/problems, direct na kong magtatanong sa kanya. nga pala, binigay pa niya saken yung mga ipin ko, souvenir daw. nyahaha

meron pa kong impacted tooth sa right side and plan ko siya ipaextract of course, kay dr. uy ulit, next month together din nung nasa taas na hindi rin impacted. minimum daw is 2 weeks e bago magpaextract ulit. para lang may pang-chew akong side, kaya hindi ko sila sinabay.saka hindi ko rin alam kung advisable ba yung apat.

sa ngayon, konting maga na lang yung left side ko, so nagaapply ako ng cold compress 30 mins, then hot compress 15 mins. 3x a day. i only eat ice cream and soup, kaya kumakalam ang sikmura ko. hahaha

galing ni Dr Uy! Hands down. walang sakit literal. masakit lang pag-inject ng anaesthesia pero tolerable naman, tapos pag may masakit, aray ka lang, anaesthesia agad haha

what do you eat after tooth extraction? first day, ok lang ba bread?

1 lang tinanggal sakin kanina. kaya naman sa isang side eh. ok lang kaya?

^^sis sa kin wala namang facial changes dahil na extract yung wisdom tooth ko, ang nagbago lang is nawala yung sakit at discomfort dahil na extract na nga.
pag isa lang yung na extract yung kabila na di na extract e push nya yung midline papunta dun sa area kung san yung natanggal. so mawawala na yung ipin sa midline, kaya nagiging tabingi, so if you plan to extract the other one, dapat yung other side patanggal mo din.

Magaling talaga si dr. Uy Gaan kamay plus attentive sa facial expressions/ expressions of pain mo, hehe!
Sa clinic din nya ako na ngpa brace although di under sakanya kasi he does surgery nalang yata exclusively

ah talaga, sayang naman kung surgery nalang siya. kasi refer ko sana cousin ko para magpa-teeth whitening, cleaning and pasta.

medyo mahirap ata tanggalin yung wisdom tooth ko kasi nakatago and maliit lang siya. pero he did it pa rin ng mabilis lang tsaka pati ako hindi nahirapan. medyo kinabahan/palpitate lang ako after iinject yun anes pero after ok naman na.. it's my second day today and hindi naman masakit, naka 3 ponstan lang ako, pag sumakit mamaya take lang ulit,

how many days before matatanggal yung stitches? kakairita kasi naffeel ko with my tongue yung stitches. after 3 days kaya pwede na magbuhat ng baby na mabigat? sabi kasi wag daw muna magbuhat ng mabigat.

at sabi pa ng tito ko, ngayon hindi masakit pero after mga 5 days dun daw magiging masakit. totoo ba? hehe may lakad pa naman ako sa saturday and sunday

^ hindi totoo yun sis. hindi naman na sumakit yung saken pag nagtagal. yung stitch, matagal yan. ngayon ko lang ata hindi na naffeel yung thread. 1 month na now since nagpaextract ako kay dr. uy.

Yung panoramic xray ko sa Dental Focus is 700. Sa UP PGH daw more or less 350 ata.

Impacted din yung 4 wisdom teeth ko, pero never naman sila sumakit. Pinatanggal lang ng employer ko yung 2 nasa baba. Nagtanong tanong din ako sa mga clinic around sa subd namen kung magkano, 8k nga daw. Hanggang sa napadpad ako sa isang clinic na 5-8k depende daw sa position ng tooth. So gumora na lang ako dun dahil gusto ko narin matapos to. Sabi ko nga sabay na lang tanggalin, pero ayaw pumayag nung dentist kase daw baka mahirapan ako and di ako makakaen. Sabihin ko sana ok lang dahil diet naman ako, heheh. Pero ayun, isa lang tinanggal. 2 weeks pa ulit para yung kabila naman.

Usually nga daw 30 mins lang yung procedure pero yung sakin halos umabot ng dalawang oras Ang lalim daw kase and patagilid (?) Ok naman yung dentist, mabait and matanong kung nasasaktan na nga ko. Nahirapan nga lang ata talaga siya kase he had to cut it into few pieces pa. 6k yung binayad ko.

The next day pagkagising ko sobrang nalungkot talaga ko, kase maga yung pisngi ko. Iyak tawa talaga ko. Mga 2 days ako parang may jawbreaker sa pisngi hehe. It seemed like forever talaga. Mataas naman pain tolerance ko and di naman nagbleed, nalungkot lang ako sa itsura ko XD 3rd day yung paliit na siya. Ngayon one week na since the extraction, normal na ulit itsura ko and konting bump na lang nafifeel ko pag hinahawakan ko yung jaw ko. So next week iyak tawa ulit 

I wished I found this thread earlier, mukang mas ok yan nirerecommend niyo. Next time na patanggal ko yung upper wisdom teeth ko, try ko dyan.

Nga pala, possible ba na maghiwahiwalay yung teeth after wisdom teeth extraction? Ganun ba yun?

I finally had all three of my wisdom tooth extracted.. Normal extraction lang siya and i was only charged 800 for each, kabatch kasi ng mama ko.. So far yun na pinakamura and hindi masakit.. Hindi naman nako takot kasi alam ko na ieexpect ko pag tooth extraction..Tinahi niya after para hindi masyado magdugo..

Ang huli ko is yung impacted sa lower left.. 5k charge niya sakin..

What days and time ba talaga ang clinic ni Dr. Uy? I tried calling yung Lacson branch the past three days pero hindi nila alam kung kelan daw magki-clinic si Dr. Uy. Nakaka-inis na sa totoo lang, bakit hind sila sure kung kelan nandun yung doktor nila? Ganda pa naman ng mga review sa kanya. I really need to have my wisdom teeth extracted kasi. One week na syang ang sakit.

Kakaremove lang ng impacted tooth ko sa left side kahapon. Super pain talaga siya, ang hirap lumunok/kumain. Question ko lang, normal ba na yung swelling umabot na sa baba? Tsaka hirap din ako ilift yung ulo--yung titingin sa taas sa sobrang bigat ng swelling. Naglalagay ako ice packs pero parang walang effect. Thanks!

Sorry sa double post. Baka may recommend pala kayong alternative kay Dr. Uy na kasing mura nya mag-charge. Preferable Manila/QC/Pasig area. I really need to get the wisdom teeth ASAP.

I want to share my experience with my TMJ DENTIST/ SURGEON:

I was really apprehensive about having my wisdom tooth removed since may history na ako ng TMJ Dysfunction and masakit talaga pag medyo matagal na nakanganga. So since I saw how i got better with my TMJ treatment with Dr. Vergel de Dios, I trusted that he will be able to work well on my impacted third molar. I had two., I went thru the surgery. Before the surgery I was adviced to take premedications and submit my xray and to eat right on the day of the surgery. Since nakahiga yung ngipin ko, super takot talaga ako with horror stories Ive heard from my friends before.

on the day of the surgery medyo no choice na and I had conditioned myself. I sat down on the chair and before I knew it, natanggal na yung isa, and he asked me kung kaya ko pa at gustong ipatanggal the other one so isang medication nalang. So i went thru with it para isang sakit na din. Meron slight swelling after which lasted for a few days, as expected and explained.

I had 2 wisdom teeth out. And it was not a bad experience. Buti nalang I made a right choice of doing it with Dr. Vergel de Dios, maalaga talaga and he will make you feel comfortable also with his jokes..

Thanks to all the positive reviews for Dr. Uy here, I finally bit the bullet and had two of my wisdom teeth removed today, the upper and lower 3rd molar on the right side. The lower was  partially impacted, the upper was not.

I contacted Dr. Uy's clinic yesterday, and the assistant scheduled me for 2pm today. Had my x-ray done and prior to the surgery, Dr. Uy explained in detail what was going to happen and his recommendations (both my lower wisdom teeth were impacted, the upper ones were not). I decided to have the right side done today, and plan to get the left side out next month.

My experience was very, very good. There was very minimal pain and the procedure didn't take as long as I anticipated. In fact I only felt the initial injections which weren't bad at all. After than, no pain. There were a couple of moments where Dr. Uy warned me when he was going to put some pressure, but it wasn't painful at all. He told me afterwards that he increased the dosage of the anesthetic so would last about 30-45 minutes longer than normal. I took Ponstan 500mg half an hour before the surgery, and the prescribed Hemostan after.

He charged me a total of 6k, for the impacted wisdom tooth, the regular extraction of the non-impacted tooth and the x-ray. The prescribed meds cost around 2k.

I have just finished eating my dinner of mashed potatoes and ice cream. I'm currently not experiencing any pain, just mild discomfort that is very tolerable.

I echo all the recommendations for Dr. Uy. He's really great!

He didn't require any for me. I think it depends on your pain tolerance and medical history. In my case, I just took mefenemic acid 30 minutes prior to the surgery. The rest like Hemostan (anti-bleeding) and antibiotics after na ng surgery pinrescribe.

Bleeding stopped a couple of hours after surgery, and I don't feel any pain. Discomfort lang talaga. Yung feeling na parang merong something sa loob ng mouth ko, pero it's not painful. I can even open my mouth and look at the stitches from a mirror using a mini-flashlight.

mga sis currently in pain right now. last friday left ang swollen, ngayon naman right.both due to impacted
wisdom teeth. ano bang pain killer ang matapang tapang aside from ponstan. yung arcoxia ba pain killer
yan or antibiotics? mron kasi ako arcoxia at norgesic dito sa bahay pero ayaw ko naman inumin withouth
prescription. i just need immediate relief bago ako mag pa check up sa dentist this friday.
