In my opinion,  Your right  1st molar is restorable pa. Medyo malapit na sa nerve pero pwede pa. Pag sumakit, root canal can be an option. Rather than closing a huge space. Gaano ka crowded ngipin mo? Can you send pictures? Based on your xray your upper looks protrusive (medyo nakalabas). Most likely bubunutan ka din ng premolar on your upper.

pa join! anyone na may kilalang dentist near commonwealth or fairview pa post naman! yung mura lang sana, yung dentist ko kasi she quoted me 14k for 2 lower part, medyo namamahalan ako.. pede kaya magpa extract kung ngpapabreast fed ka??

i had my odontectomy last july 28, with dr. uy din.

after my xray, dun nya inexplain yung condition ng 2 wisdom teeth ko. sabi ko sabay na tanggalin. so ayun, spray tapos 4-5 injections yata yun, tapos totally numb na ko. start na ng extraction. tapos tinahi yung gums ko(?) haha in 45mins, tanggal na ang 2 wisdom teeth ko, located on both sides btw.

2 hours after, the anesthesia wore off. di ko napansin may mga luha na sa mata ko. haha ang sakit. madaming nagsabi sakin sana isa lang muna pinatanggal ko. well i will still choose sabay ipatanggal. ayoko na maulit pa tong pagtitiis ko kaya mas ok na one time big time pain nalang. isa pa, ang mahal ng antibiotics ha. P85 isa. ang gastos. at least sabayang gamutan na ang naganap. 

the healing part - i took a rest for 3 days. ice cream (na hindi naman nakakabusog) at sopas na hindi mainit ang kinain ko on the first 2 days.
- yes, nagkasingaw (?) din yata ako kasi pati dila ko sumakit eh.
- namaga yung isang side. for 3 days lang naman.
- nagsugat din yung gilid ng lips ko. til now..
- ang sakit ng tyan ko on the 1st week. as in may diarrhea pa minsan. yun nga, siguro andaming gamot tapos not much food intake.

exactly 2 weeks after - hindi pa din ako makakain ng normal. mahina ang healing process ng katawan ko ever since. so ayun, tiis tiis sa ube mamon, mashed potato, at walang kamatayang macaroni soup. sabik na sabik na ko kumain ng kanin at ulam pero takot naman ako mapasukan ng pagkain yung sockets ko. dagdag gastos pa yan if ever magkaimpeksyon. on the brighter side, may unintentional weight loss na naganap. apir! 

anyway, dr. uy charged me P8,000 for both teeth + P500 for the panoramic xray. gamotsss cost P2,000++. ok siya, yung rates, pati clinic nya.

Lumabas wisdom tooth ko, nung una sabi ko bakit may butas yung gums ko ang namamaga until after ilang weeks may ngipin akong nakita, nakasilip lang siya. Mga 3 months na ito, di naman masakit pero parang yung katabing molar ko ang sumasakit.

Doc, yung sa ibabang set po ng ngipin ko, may naiwan pong milk tooth dyan, I'm not sure kung visible pero ang halos katapat nya po eh yung upper left central and lateral incisor, ang nangyari po na-occupy nya yung space sana for my lower left lateral incisor kaya hindi na magkakatapat yung mga ngipin ko. Hindi din po ako sigurado kung ayan yung naging dahilan kaya parang tumabingi yung mukha ko... Ang tanong ko po, kapag po tinanggal yung milk tooth ko and nagpalagay na ako ng braces, maiuurong po ba pakaliwa yung lower set ng ngipin ko para pumantay dun sa taas? kasi iniisip ko po kung alin ba yung gagalaw, yung ngipin lang po ba or yung mismong jaw kasi pag yung jaw, parang nagmuka akong na-stroke nun dahil sa lips ko, di ko sure kung navi-visualize nyo po heheh..

Isa pa po, yung lower central incisors ko po may cavity(?), sorry di ko po alam kung anong tawag tamang term dun basta parang may dumi po sa gitnang harap, magagawan kaya ng paraan yun ng pasta?

Lastly po, yung lower 1st molar ko po sa magkabilang side, possible po ba talagang i-save pa sya kesa bunutin? yung left po may pasta na yan dati pa, yung right naman po malalim na talaga sya. Kung pwede pa i-save, does it mean na mas ok talaga yung advice nung 1st dentist na tanggalin na lang yung wisdom tooth kesa dun sa sinabi nung 2nd dentist na alisin na lang pareho yung magkabilang 1st molars?

If you have milk tooth, the space can be closed pag nabunot na eto. If you think my jaw deviation ka which is not visible on the picture you sent, you better consult a TMJ specialist first before doing ortho.-Para maicorrect muna ang position ng jaw mo before correcting the bite/teeth.

Regarding the molars, I see something pink dun sa left molar, pasta ba yun? The right 1st molar looks like a possible root canal candidate.

Based on the pics, definitely need bawasan ng ngipin (bunutan) but on which tooth, you're Ortho will decide. Depende rin sa facial profile mo..


But i suggest you have your case evaluated by a TMJ SPECIALIST first since according to your description na "tumatabingi ang mukha mo"

Wow good thing I found this thread. Makapag set nga ng appointment kay Dr Uy soon. Sumakit molars ko yesterday e, unbearable na.

Tanong lang po, yung mga dentist po ba nade-detect nila kung may tmj problem yung patients nila the first time na magpunta sa kanila, tapos sasabihin nila na magconsult muna sa tmj specialist? Kasi like in my case, I've already consulted two dentists but neither of them had suggested na magpunta muna ako sa tmj specialist... Naisip ko lang po kasi na pano pala kung di nyo yan na-mention, I could've had proceeded with an ortho treatment without me knowing na baka may tmj problem ako.

Doc Smile, naisip ko lang po kasi, possible kayang ang dahilan ng parang pagtabingi ng muka ko e dahil dun sa milk tooth na hindi natanggal? I mean kasi since na-occupy nya yung para sa isang ngipin ko, naurong tuloy pakanan yung ngipin ko sa ibaba kaya naapektuhan yung jaw ko... Parang naisip ko lang po yan, di ko lang alam kung possible.

About sa 1st molars ko naman po, meron nga pong pasta yung sa left pero yung pink na nakita nyo, baka po sa pagcapture ko lang ng image yun heheh... yung sa right naman po, yep sabi nga po nung 1st dentist na pinuntahan ko pasok pa syang candidate for root canal.

Dahil po dyan, mas lalo akong naguluhan kung ano talaga mas magandang gawin sa impacted tooth ko, kung tatanggalin po ba or antayin na lang mag-erupt pero tatanggalin naman yung dalawang 1st molars. Pareho po kasing pwedeng gawin pero di ko alam kung alin yung mas matimbang at mas ideal.

Hi Dr. Smile. Ask ko lang po. I just had my 2nd molar (lower left side) surgically extracted kaninang 4pm. I had taken antibiotics 3 days prior the day of the operation. Hiniwa yun gums and ngipin kasi hindi daw kaya ng simpleng bunot nung nakita yun xray ko. Ok naman yun extraction,may sutures to close the gums. I was advised to take pain reliver and cefalexin post-op, and mag-gargle ng Bactidol (which hindi ko pa ginagawa kasi nag-bleed pa). My problem is bleeder daw ako. I tried putting cold compress sa cheeks ko where the extraction was done. Kumakain din ako ng ice cream, pero may bleeding pa din until now. I read in some threads na helpful yung Hemostan to lessen the bleeding. Ok lang kaya mag-take ako ng Hemostan kahit walang advise ng dentist. I texted my dentist pero hindi sya nagreply pa. Gusto ko lang tumigil na yung bleeding.

Yes, take hemostan for bleeding. Dapat kasama yan sa post operative care instructions ng Dentist mo since hindi nga yan normal extraction. Make sure mataas din ang pillows mo when u sleep. You might hemorrhage so if within 24 hrs d pa nagstop u need to go back ASAP.

One extra tooth will not cause your jaw to deviate. According to you "tumabingi ang mukha" mo. I know one patient that has 35 teeth, yes it is crowded pero hindi naman dapat tabingi yung mukha at "mukhang na stroke" Probably hindi nila napansin yung jaw mo since thats not their area of concern. Also do you have other symptoms like Headaches, clicking, etc? Thats the best advice I can give according to your description. Sa TMJ specialist muna bago isipin kung ano ang kailangan bunutin..


The decision weather to remove or not to remove your third molar is nasa ortho mo. If they need to remove another tooth, no need to remove the 3rd molars..
