Or baka iba lang name nya.

Skintype: hormonal acne-prone/oily dehydrated/ clogged prone/fungal acne

Its been a month na since i started a new routine and Im very happy na my face is almost cleared. As of writing, i have no active pimples, just some uninflamed bumps like blackheads and sebaceous filaments pero they don't bother me much kasi konti lang naman. The blackheads would comes to a head days later or sometime they just comes off when i wash my face or when i apply toner. Also, taking Omega 3 fish oil supplements helps a lot on my hormonal acne.
Finding a good products that works together is pretty hard in my case kasi i have sensitive skin and reacts badly on some Holy grail acne treatments like BHA and sulfur. I learned my lesson not to copy someone else's routine but just used them as a guide. And also makigaya sa latest skincare craze. I tried korean skincare but failed. I quit it and nursed my skin for two weeks with just a gentle cleanser and a soothing facial oil. Then, introduced my now routine. We have different skin types and reacts differently to each product. What might be a holy grail for me may give you a worst breakout or vice versa. As i always saw sa tl;dr sa reddit : YMMV.

^GNC sis. Mine is Triple Strength Fish Oil. Was lucky to get it while on sale 1k+ but the regular price was 2k+. Planning to replace it but still looking for a good brand with a lesser price.
When buying omega 3 fish oil supplement, make sure it states how much EPA and DHA it contains (most important types of Omega 3). EPA helps lessen inflammation in the body while DHA is essential on nerve (brain) health and function. Some brands kasi didn't state at all kung ilang content ang EPA and DHA, so pag ganoon maybe trace amounts lang which makes it no so efficient.

Thanks for sharing your experience sis @Corinthians  :-\ I had a similar experience with Korean beauty products. I broke out so terribly. I had to see a derma for damage control. Waited a good 2-3 weeks for the purge/irritation/allergic reaction to die down. It was traumatizing to say the least. I was washing my face and could feel the bumps all over my forehead, cheeks and chin. My office mates were asking me what happened to my face! :(( Thankfully, my skin is so much better now. Like you, I also went back to basics.

Cleanser - Teranex soap, Cetaphil or derma's soap free cleanser
AM - derma's acne control gel
PM - VMV Red Better moisturizer or derma's glycolic bearberry cream

Now looking for a good mild make up remover for acne prone sensitive skin. Any recommendations? :)

Body Shop's tea tree line works fine with me, I use the facial cleanser, mattifying lotion and tea tree oil for spot treatment, di naman instant nawawala pero within 2 days at least yung inflammation wala na, in 5 days tuyo na pimple.

I had clear skin when I was in Pinas almost 7 years ago, madali i manage skin ko, paisa isang pimples na tuyo agad sa papaya soap, but when I arrived here in Qatar, sa tubig, pawis when I run outside, dust dahil disyerto and hormonal imbalance, adjustment sa foods, naloka skin ko, not only me, madami nagkakaganyan sa abroad.

I suffered for almost 4 years, lahat na ata natry ko, nag antibiotics na and pills, gumagaling pero dependent sa pills and so many madications, so pag stop ganun uli breakout, naaddict din ako sa micro peeling, until recently kusa nalang gumaling, maybe dahil naubos na stress ko sa katawan, I stopped taking in medications and avoided foods na usually nagtrigger ng breakouts ko like dairy and peanuts. Hanggang sa super manageable na, for now, very limited lang gamit ko sa face, and I prefer it that way.

Don't lose hope makahanap ng cure and stick to it, watch out din your food intake, we are what we eat sabi nga nila, we might have certain intolerances na nag trigger ng breakouts natin. Listen to your body and skin.

Im having breakouts on my back, last time it happened mga 7 years ago. I think culprit is dove oxygen conditioner although i use regularly dove blue or pink conditioner at hormones na din die to pcos.

No fishy taste when you burp sa GNC sis thats what I like about it and the capsule was a lot smaller sa regular size na fish oil capsule. Its actually a good brand, concern ko lang is the price. I take it twice a day kasi so good for 1 and half month lang ang 90caps.

^ I'll definitely consider buying GNC din. Thanks to you.

Do you really have to take it twice? Ako siguro once lang muna.😀

^hello sis. Main reason ko kasi why I take omega 3 fish oil is for joint pains (though im just 29).. I experienced it minsan either sa wrist, knee or sa ankles or minsan sabay2. I tried b-complex pero hindi ako hiyang, i got cystic acne from those. Same with other vitamins like Vit. E and C. So i did researched for other supplements and found that omega3 is good against inflammation, which also a bonus since it tamed my hormonal inflamed acne.

^ oh okay. good bonus pala yun.  :D Me too, hormonal cystic acne rin ang problem ko. lagi sa chin... i think ganito din talaga pag may polycystic ovaries. i read din sa net if omega 3 is safe for those with gallstones (though nasa late 20s palang din ako) and wala naman ako nabasa na bawal so gusto ko talaga itry tong omega 3..

^ naku, when I stopped taking Althea pills (two months na) grabe agad yung mga acne ko sa chin din! Hindi talaga ako pwedeng mag-stop sa pag-take ng pills, or else, grabe ang breakout ko. Tsaka two weeks na rin kase ako walang matinong tulog because of school and work. Hay.

So far, na-control (hindi nabawasan) yung mga acne ko when I used Likas Papaya on my face and then Nella Multi-Toning Essence as toner and essence. I'd be taking Althea again as soon as I get my period, nakakainis na kase tuwing humaharap ako sa salamin.  :(

I have Garnier micellar water (pink) and Vanicream Gentle Facial cleanser. But mas prefer ko si vanicream since it's free from sulfates, fragrance, parabens and other preservatives and way more gentle than Garnier. Be aware lang na Vanicream has fatty alcohols, my skin is okay with it basta wag lang fatty acids and oils. There are some people who might be sensitive to fatty alcohols so it might give you a problem. Also, very important to do a Patch Test.
