All About Pimples & Acne - Thread 7

Hello. Lahat na yata ginawa ko for my face. Derma (diamond peel, microdermabrasion, facials), beauty kits (Professional Skin Care Formula By Dr Alvin, Beauche), Drugstore Products, and homemade scrubs (malunggay / milk with calamansi / tea leaves / oatmeal / coffee / cinnamon with honey).

So far, I'm pleased with the products I'm using right now. It works wonders on my skin. My face is clearer, fairer, and rosy. My acne scars have improved, lesser black heads, rarer acne breakouts.
Here's my routine:

Day: Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, Eskinol with Dalacin C, Skinmate Placenta Cream

Night: Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, Eskinol with Dalacin C, Skinmate Shark Oil (every other night, do not use cotton), Skinmate Placenta Cream, Dr. Wong's Bioderm Ointment

I'm also taking althea pills to clear my skin.

sa akin one month din tetralysal grabe ang mahal  pero nawal cystic pimple ko sa neck, chest and back area so worth it narin.

Ngayon, may cystic acne (1 to 2) parin every other month. Ang solution ko doon ay cortisone/acne injection. Di kaya nang benzoyl peroxide.

Ang routine ko ngayon ay:

AM: Wash sebamed Clear face foam cleanser; Tone sebamed clear face toner, apply benzoyl peroxide to acne spots; apply sebamed moisturizer, apply cetaphil sunblock gel

PM: Wash sebamed Clear face foam cleanser; Tone sebamed clear face toner, apply tretinoin, apply benzyol peroxide to acne spots and apply sebamed moisturizer

Monthly: facial and salicylic acid mask

I asked my doctor if I can use benzoyl peroxide and tretinoin together and he said it is ok. Also, I did ask if I need to wait for about 20 mins after toning before I apply tretinoin and he also said I do need to do so. Now, I am using tretinoin for more than 1 year and the effects are less cystic acne, smoother and younger looking skin.

For me, the side effect of tretinoin is reddish skin on my eyebrow area and nose (sides); it easily gets red after facial or brow threading. According to my doctor it is sebhorric dermatitis, may cheap solution to this is petroleum jelly and so far no acne because of petroleum jelly

^Ishi advance gamit ko nun sis, then recently nagswitch ako sa nano800k. Bilis makatuyo ng pimples and nakaka-refined ng pores but sad to say umiitim ako sa kanya. May ita-try ako na bago hopefully madeliver tomorrow. Pag di nagka-effect ta-try ko naman ishi premium

^oo sis umitim ako, sinabi ko nga sa seller yun sabi niya dapat maglotion daw ako na may spf kahit di ako naarawan kasi yung ilaw nakakaitim din daw. Pero dun kasi sa Thai product thread meron iilan na nangitim din sa nano gluta

Told my derma that I want to get rid of the red marks left behind by my pimples and she prescribed contrabutex! Hopefully it works

^ contrabutex ba talaga sis? or contractubex?

kasi nakagamit na ko ng contractubex sa scars effective talaga sha. kaya lang di ba yun masyadong harsh para sa face? tsaka mayat maya ang application dapat bare face ka lagi

^Yes, contrabutex for scars. I used the same on my CS scar before. I was advised to only apply once a day.

Acne aid soap is nakadry din ng pimples.. 200php sya sa mercury.

I'm attending a prophylactic regimen in Facial Care for my pimples and the upcoming ones.  Kasi I'm sure in the next few months, grabeng lack of sleep and stressed out for upcoming exams.  Jan lumalabas ang pimples kong sobrang laki and sakit.  Hindi kakayanin ng make up kaya kelangan pa-facial talaga. 

I have a friend who works in Flawless and asks me bakit facial care pa.  Sabi nya pareho lang naman ng regimen and tools and techniques ang ginagamit.  Kaya lang too late na.  Paid na kasi the next 10 sessions with them. 

In my case, lots of sleep lang talaga ang solution sa problema ko.  Bawal mapuyat if gusto talaga gumanda ang skin.  Kaya lang mahal na ang tulog din ngayon.  Can't afford to sleep.  Dami reading backlogs kasi.

Hi girls, nagkakapimples na naman ako sa noo at bandang hairline. I think hindi ok ang shampoo na gamit ko may kinalaman naman siguro 'to right?.
Ano bang affordable na shampoo ang masasuggest nyo sakin?

^yes sis shampoo and conditioner are  factors that can cause pimples din. Stay away sa mga too fragrant shampoos and conditioners also sa mga may vitamin b content. Head and shoulder is ok.. =) yan yung mga advice ng derma ko.

one more tip sis. when you shower, talikod ka so the residue of the shampoo and conditioner will not go to your face. pero ako naka side yung ulo ko para yung bagsak ng water, talagang di tatama sa body ko yung may shampoo..    minsan shampoo/conditioner din cause ng bacne e.  especially pag di na-rinse well.

Naka-bow ako mag shampoo and conditioner, then wrap ko ng old cotton shirt, then body naman, face and etc. Pag may pimple ako, nilalagyan ko ng witch hazel ng Venus & Mars, and mabilis sya mag dry

Yung pimples ko iba ang itsura.. mukha syang butlig butlig.Ayaw tumalab ng benzamycin gel ko .
Parang may pagsasalong nagaganap sa noo ko e mukang mag iimbita pa!. Na iistressed tuloy ako lalo. Hahaha.
