Both kami ni hubby based sa Pinas. Controlled spending lang but without depriving ourselves. Employed lang kami. No business. We just recently reached 1.7M. Im 31, my husband is 32. Secret lang is love of work and feeling of deservability.

very inspiring ang thread na 'to. i told myself i won't post here since i have nothing to share.
but i want to mark the day i first read this thread so in few months, i will trace back my post and see if my
financial situation has improved.

i have minimal cash in the bank (i used to have several accounts but closed some of them na). and i have
accumulated cc liabilities from schooling and domestic expenses. i am relatively stringent but i just
have so much expenses. i am in the middle of paying off all my cc debts and start saving. i have insurance that pays cash at maturity so that's for retirement.so i can say
my net worth is not much.

0 pa lang, but will start this payday to save.i believe its never too late naman, nakaka sad lang kc am in my late 20s na and to think na lahat ng barkada ko mukhang mga milyonarya na huhuhu

sis, dont compare yourself with others.  remember, there will always be people richer and poorer than you. important is you know where you are, you know where you want to go, plan ahead and implement it. and most of all, BE HAPPY

kung kelangan ka magtipid at gusto ng barkada mo mag-outing, hindi ka kelangan makisabay. just live within your means.  and you will be respected for that.  I have a barkada that have businesses, halos lahat sila. pero ako sariling kayod.  if I cannot afford, I tell them and they respect my decision for that. sometimes they even ask me first bago mag gimmik bec they know I work for my money and not an heir of an inheritance.  and masasabi kong sila ang totoo kong kaibigan.

through the years, trabaho lang ako, tipid.  HS/college days, wala ako pambili.  Sabi nga ng mom ko, mag-aral lang ako mabuti. kahit barkada ko hindi masyado nag-aaral bec they have family businesses to land on once they graduate. ako, wala. so I need to study hard.  ngayon, pagdating sa gimikan, puede nako makipagsabayan sa kanila (hindi lang palagi haha), but at least we get to enjoy each other's companies.  darating ka rin dyan.  but sometimes we just have to accept that some people are "luckier" talaga as they are born rich.  some people, like us, will just need to work hard for it.  remember pag walang tyaga, walang nilaga.

^ I agree. Sometimes nasa friend mo rin yan if they are really your friends they would understand pag nagtitipid ka or not. Kaya di dapat mag padala. May iba naman akong friends pagsasabihin ko nag titipid ako they will tell me sige lang ako na treat sa iyo. Minsan tinatanggap ko minsan binabawi ko rin pag nakakaluwag. Ganun lang din naman talaga dapat di ba sa mga magkakaibigan pati na rin sa mga kapatid

I posted here before and my net worth increased already. Pero since I am getting married and nag papatayo kami ng house ni H2B, well puro gastos kami ngayon. Before iniisip ko san kaya mapupunta ang pera na save ko (kasi wala akong goals, gusto ko lang mag ipon) yun pala sa wedding and house construction. Actually i feel sad kasi nga nababawasan na ang ipon, pero aanhin din naman ang pera diba if di gagamitin sa mahalagang bagay.

Dibale back to savings na ulit ako sa January 2012! I can't wait Excited na akong mag simula ulit

@sis yaskulet okay lang yan.. At least di ba happy ka na nakita mo na good investment naman napunta ipon mo Mahaba pa ang time natin to save more.

Currently, I also opened an account for my 1 and 9 mo. old son. I try to save 2500 every month for his account and I am planning to give it to him when he turns 17. So most probably he will have 450K by myself pa lang (wala pa yung mga monetary gifts from his godparents and yung interest ng bank).

This thread is really inspiring lalo na sa mga malalaki na ang naipon to think na nasa pinas lang sila kami nga ni hubby 5 years na sa abroad at ngayon palang nagkakaron ng ipon but i am still proud to say na in my 5years abroad, nakapagpakasal kami ng maayos, nakapunta sa europe for vacation, nagkababy at higit sa lahat nakapagpatapos ako ng kapatid sa college 

My hinulugan na kaming house and lot ngayon so i guess di pa siya asset kundi liability pa hehe

Ours is nearly 7digits na, hoping to make it higher pa.. im 30 by the way:)

@Marssie congrats sis.. Ayos lang yan, at least you are enjoying your hard earned money right? One thing I learned from hubby is to enjoy the money I am getting. Not everybody have that opportunity daw but I need to learn rin daw to control rin yung money at the same time for our son's future.
