is it possible to consistently double net worth every year? i'm very far behind my goal of 1m by 30, i have 4 years left and i haven't even reached 150k. =( i started paying attention to saving only recently kasi. now i'm regretting it.

you can't get near your goal in 4years if you just rely on saving.  you just also explore on other ways para kumita.  invest.

ang galing nyo naman liquid ang savings / investments nyo... kami kasing mag asawa more on non-liquid, we have the following as of now:

2 bedroom house - 600,000 (total contract price nung binili namin 9 years ago)
1 condo unit - 1,800,000 (total contract price)
3 bedroom house - (di ko alam ang price kasi bigay lang, dito kami nakatira ngayon)
1 car - 200,000 - depreciated value
insurance - 500,000 - waiting for maturity na lang kami
insurance - 500,000 - half na ang nabbayaran namin
cash in bank - almost 100,000
libility - 39,000 - installment plan sa CC

If you have a job, madali lang mag earn ng 1M in 4 years.  P250k every yr is P21k/month.  All you need to do is look for a job that pays well, kung mag abroad ka, you can easily achieve this pay. if you think you dont have the necessary skills, mag aral ka ulit. There are jobs that can give you P1M/year of savings kung matipid ka talaga.

@melmedrano, hehe sa case ko kasi sis madali lang malaman na more than 1M kasi like sa house pa lang namin na isa more than ___M na sya. Kasama pa mga kotse namin ni hubby. He got more than 4 cars while I own two. Then mga properties pa namin then pera sa bank. Kaya estimate na more than 1M kame

@showermist, yah. I have a friend na sa super gusto nya makasave as in super kinukuripot nya sarili nya. every 5 years yata sya bumili ng jeans na isang pares. and sa office naman forever na free coffee lang ang ginagawa nya. mali naman yata yung sa kaibigan ko di ba? extreme case na yata sya

malamang nga sis more than 1m kayo ni hubby mo... as in MORE THAN hehe! nakakatuwa lang yung iba na talagang cash yung ipon nila, at nagrereflect sa bank account nila yung ganung amount, kasi kasi more on properties ang pinagipunan ko simula ng nagwork ako, influence ng mom ko. ngayon goal ko na rin makita ang bank account namin na malaking amount.

para sa akin naman, di naman tama yung sobrang pagtitipid to the point of depriving yourself, same as hindi rin naman tama yung gumasta ng sobra-sobra na parang wala ng bukas... moderation lang! :-)

^ ^LOL parang i am partly guilty of that. i remember,  i was once in that situation for two years yata.  gawa ng naranasan ko kasing hirap, parang ayaw kong bumalik ulet sa sitwasyong yun nakung hindi rin lang naman importante, hindi ako naglalabas ng pera.  it took a while for me to admit my 'success.' and finally enjoy.  ngayon, if i want a prada flats--i just buy it because i know i can afford it. naienjoy ko na pera ko

para hindi OT: with net worth, mas madami akong non-liquid assets.

@melmedrano and @showermist - ako guilty rin ako dun, sa tipid mode ng food pero di naman kasi ganun ka extreme.  ayos din yung properties pero ayos din pag may cash on bank. si hubby before i met him, malaki na net worth nya. ako naman from my dad's inheritance, savings from my previous job. and since di na ako nagwowork, savings from my allowance from hubby

depende kasi yun. may mga tao mas masaya sila sa ganun kasi.  they are happy not spending P150 for starbucks, kasi hindi nila hilig. 

as for the jeans, baka ayaw lang nya masyado magjeans.

bank assets - 500K. i spend money on bills (taas kuryente, dues, cc etc), travels, emergency costs i don't know if blessing ba right now na wala pang baby -- financially speaking
stock investments - P300K ++ it varies daily hehe
liabilities - P280K++ balance to Pagibig loans

hindi ko pala nasama kanina sa computation ko ang aking properties like gadgets, etc. LOL.

so hindi pala ako 183k, higher pa pala. ang problem di ko naman alam how to compute my non-monetary assets.

hindi po considered na asset ang mga gadgets because they depreciate (and at a fast rate, too).  same as car din.  lahat ng bumababa ang presyo over time, hindi asset.  eto ang nilinaw sa akin ng investment analyst ko.  ang bahay kahit naluluma, nag aappreciate parati ang value ng lupa so nett, gain ka pa din kaya considered sya na asset.

Someone owed me a big amount of money, i filed a case 2007 pero until now wala pa din. Im starting to lose hope. Majority pa naman yun ng savings ko eversince i started working and do business.
