8 Reasons Why Guys should not Carry their girlfriend/wife's Purse

I'm appealing to fellow guys in GT.

Please stop carrying your girlfriends/wife's purse. Grocery and shopping bags are fine. I'm talking about the shoulder and handbags they always bring around.

1. this is the final straw to the feminism of men
2. there are countless better ways to be sweet
3. it doesn't make you look more masculine since its only 2-3 pounds
4. It looks ridiculous.
5. You may be mistaken to be gay
6. It is beta male behavior (in contrast to Alpha male behavior)
7. Women who like this gesture actually just like seeing you lose your balls to them
8.  She brought it, let her carry it.

pwede makisali po? parang na sabi nyo na po lahat ng reasons.  And kahit girl ako, i dont let my bf carry my bag unless yun nga, i need to free my hand real quick.  I don't like seeing other guys din carrying their girl's purse.  It's irritating.  Hindi bagay!  THe purses we carry were made for women, not for men.  If your gf/wife still insist in letting you carry her bag, tell her to put her stuff in a jansport backpack! lol

my bf then, and my hubby now. I never let him carry my handbag. Only if yes, needs to free my hand. Im afraid he might forget my bag at the malls since he is not used to carrying one. And, hindi nga bagay for guys hehe. I find it so cheesy/pa cute seeing younger gf/bf at malls guys carring the girls bags. Pa impress lang yan at first

I agree! Ang pangit kasing tingnan sa mga lalake na dala dala nila ang purse/ bag ng GF/Wife nila. I understand nagpapaka sweet at gentleman sila pero awkward tingnan talaga. Instead, pagbuksan na lang tayong ng door, alalayan tayo sa stairs at kung ano ano pa, basta hwag lang bitbitin ang bag.

My (ex) bf used to carry my handbag. Nasanay nalang siguro siya. Since sa school namin noon eh parang normal lang iyon. All my Ex's used to do that for me kaya nasanay na rin ako. Nung una talaga ayoko kase bag ko yun eh, im comfy carrying it.

My hubby, he does not carry my bag. He gives it to me if naiwan ko sa room namin and he helps me while I need to get something pero hindi talaga niya dadalhin para sa akin. And I don't want to. Kase my bag completes my outfit. Sa akin bagay yung bag ko at hindi sa kanya.

my hubby does this for me, kasi i usually carry big tote bags filled with every nick-nacks for the kids or my uber heavy work laptop

i let him carry it cause it weighs too much talaga, besides the point that i'm also carrying a 2yr old son

pero kung ang dala ko is only a small purse or hand bag, i carry it kasi ang pangit tingnan sa lalaki na may dalang red purse when all the while he's looking buff all over

it's a contrast that can't be reasoned out

personally i don't find it sweet..i find it degrading sa lalake.

noong bf/gf pa lang kami ni hubby gusto nya sya magdadala ng bag ko.. sabi ko hinde pwede kasi mas bagay ang bag ko sa akin kesa sa kanya. kasi daw natutunan nya yung sa ex-gf nya noon..sya kasi taga-dala ng bag noon.. sabi ko sa akin hinde ganun ang style ko..lalake ka so hinde ka pwedeng magdala ng women's purse or handbag!!!

pero ang hubby ko walang ka-ere-han sa katawan.. i mean he doesnt see it as degrading or "losing his balls" .. you don't need to placate his "male ego" all the time.. sobrang bait.

tsaka it is one lesson i learned from my mom who insisted na ang panget tignan sa lalake na may hawak na ladies purse/bag

i let my husband carry my purse pghnde safe yun place other than that i like to carry my purse.. ang pangit nga nman tingan lalo n paggamit ko yun juicy couture gayness LOL..

I only carry my gf bag when she asks me to. anyway it weighs like 2 kilos most of the time.

agree! hindi bagay ang bag ko sa kanya...a guy can only carry my bag for the following reasons:
1. if i'm not feeling well, or am feeling too weak
2. if i need to look at something with my both hands
3. if he's gay & he wants to see how my bag would look if he carries it himself hahaha!

oh i hate this too! i always wonder why some guys wants to carry their gf's purse. i want to tell them na next time they go shopping for bags, buy sila ng bagay kay boyfie so he will not look ridiculous. haller! ang liit na bag tapos makikita mo nasa balikat ng lalaki. ugh!

1. She's not feeling well
2. It's too heavy
3. It's raining heavily
4. It's too dangerous outside (*snatchers)
5. She have to do something that requires her hand to be free from anything
6. The bag (style) can be worn both by men and women
7. He doesn't mind carrying one
8. It's his diskarte

I don't let my bf hold my bag. Especially if it's a nice, swanky bag. I paid for the damn thing, let ME carry it.    I do let him hold my laptop bag though. I remember when we were in Bora and I had to work. I remember telling him, yeah HE can fall off this boat. Just make sure my laptop stays dry.

Bags are generally huge nowadays, coz well, we girls put our lives in there and we do lead complicated lives these days.

I expect my husband to carry my purse, even if it is that purple huge flower Valentino when I get tired of lugging it around.  I do not think it makes him look less masculine.  On the contrary, it is a sign he is very secure about his being macho ... macho-nurin kay Mrs.   lol

ERRIANE -- yes, I agree with you.  That is why I do not let my husband carry a tiny or medium-sized purse.  The qualifier is:  weight.  anything over 12lbs .. he should be open to lugging for me.
