Hello sissies! This weekend na ang aming trip to Surigao and Siargao. At hindi pa polished ang itinerary namin. Hope you gals can help out:

Day 1 - 12:40 - arrive in Surigao via 2P. Transfer from airport to city proper.
                     -  ride van going to Claver (2 hours) - how much?
                     - overnight at Revlun Pension - wala rin akong makitang contact details. Anyone?

Day 2 - wake up very early. Travel from Claver to Hayanggabon Pier - trike or van?
         - rent boat going to Sohoton - okay lang ba walang prior arrangements at humagilap na lang ng pwede boat sa Pier?
         - explore Sohoton National Park
         - Overnight stay in Socorro (suggestions?) How do you travel from Socorro to the boat terminal going to Siargao?

Day 3 - Socorro to Siargao
         - 5am to 8am - boat ride from Socorro to Dapa, Siargao
         - habal habal to General Luna
         - Guyam, Dako, Naked Island tour - okay lang ba walang prior arrangements?
         - Overnight in Traveler's Beach Resort - non AC room

Day 4 - Siargao to Surigao. Surigao to Manila.
         - 6am to 9am ferry ride back to Socorro Surigao
         - 2 hours again going to Surigao Airport?
         - 1:00pm flight back to Manila

Hope you can help out. Basically, nangangarag ako kung okay lang walang reservations sa accommodations and walang arrangement sa boat.

Also, yung accomodations sa Socorro, yung SIFAI Cottage and Tiktikan Lake Cottage, sa mismong Sohoton National Park ba yun? I read na may dorms din sa Socorro Town. Any advise where to stay better? Yung mas accessible sana sa port for the boat going to Siargao.

Tapos Sakay na kayo ng pa Surigao. I think 3hrs Ang travel time. Mas malapit na to kesa from claver tas van pa, less hassle IMO.

@sis naughty brat: thanks for the reply. Kumuha na lang kami ng package - kasi Php 250 lang yung difference between DIY and getting a tour. The tour includes everything daw.

Revised IT:
Day 1 - Proceed to Hayanggabon port. Boat ride to Cinnamon Island. Overnight Cinnamon Island
Day 2 - Bucas Grande Island tour. Afternoon transfer to Socorro. Overnight in Socorro at Island Vacation - dorm room A/C - Php 250/pax/night.
Day 3 - same
Day 4 - same

Also, ayoko na mangarag during the trip. Kaya gora na lang kami sa package. Yung sa part na lang ng sundo sa Siargao yung inaayos ko pa. Post ko yung details ng trip and costing namin next week. Hopefully, everything will work out well.

Day 1: 9:15AM arrival to Butuan; travel to Surigao, go directly to Claver.  Overnight Claver.  pag wala akong nahanap na accommodation, sa Socorro kami matutulog.  papasundo na lang kami sa boatman na kausap namin sa Hayanggabon.
Day 2: Sohoton Tour; afternoon, go back to Claver to sleep (same accommodation, kung wala, Socorro ulit).
Day 3: Travel to Bislig early morning para by lunch or after lunch nasa Bislig na kami to visit Tinuy-an Falls and Enchanted River; overnight in Britannia
Day 4: Island hopping in Britannia in the morning.  if di abot sa falls and enchanted river on day 3, isisingit namin dito sa day 4 yun.  by late afternoon, travel back to Butuan. overnight in Butuan
Day 5: free time in Butuan before heading to airport for 11am flight

Baka meron kayong ma-suggest or comment sa IT ko, it will be appreciated.  Baka meron din kayong alam na accommodation in Butuan.  Di pa ko nakakapag-research talaga ng accommodation kaya wala pa kaming tutulugan sa trip namin

parang gusto ko  na rin sana mag package tour na lang - i know it will be expensive, pero atleast convenient naman.
plano ko mag base na lang sa General Luna, then sa 1st day may island hopping dun sa 3 islands - then sa 2nd day naman mag avail na lang ng tour package for Bucas Grande.
Na email ko na yung Wave Cave to inquire in their tour rates, parang dun ko kase gusto mag stay.
If meron kayo alam na nag oofer ng tour to Bucas Grande from GL, please let me know.

I'm back from our wonderful wonderful Bucas Grande + Siargao trip! Sharing trip tips here:

Bucas Grande/Sohoton Cove Leg
I already had planned out itinerary and costing for a DIY trip but I decided to compare this with packages offered. I saw the trips offered by Sir Ed of Island Vacation. I texted him and he referred me to Tata Bulabog (09399043583). He offered us a package for 6 for Php 2,600/head (from Php 2,900). Eh compared to my DIY costing, mas mahal lang yung package by less than Php 250. So go na sa package, para hindi labas ng labas ng pera at tawad ng tawad during the trip.

This includes:
1 night open air cottage accommodation in Cinnamon Island (Bucas Grande na mismo)
Boat 1  -from Hayanggabon to Bucas Grande (walang vest, malaki ang alon, please insist a vest when you ride)
Boat 1 - from Bucas Grande to Socorro Port (may vest na since we requested)
Boat 1 - going to Tiktikan Lake, Crystal Cove, Club Tara and Hidden Island (pero di na napuntahan dahil kulang kami sa time)
Boat 2, guide and fees for the Jellyfish Sanctuary (ibang boat to, motor boat without roof)
Boat 3, guide and fees for Sohoton Cave and others (ibang boat pa to, paddle boat)
Piyesta Dinner
Piyesta Breakfast
Piyesta Lunch (I call the mala fiesta/piyesta dahil ang dami)


We used 3 boats during our tour, with Boat 1 as the main boat.

Sir Tata also suggested our itinerary which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Day 1 -
Proceed to Hayanggabon port via van (Php)120. This only took us 1 hour and 15 minutes kasi parang...naki-hitch lang kami sa van. We think hindi sya dumaan sa normal passenger van route which takes 2++ hours.
Boat ride to Cinnamon Island - 30-40 minutes. Maalon dahil hapon na (4pm)
Overnight Cinnamon Island.
The standard IT would be to stay in Claver because it offers a cheap stay (Revlun).
But dahil naka-package na kami at covered na yung accommodation dun, we got to stay sa Bucas Grande Island mismo sa Cinnamon Inn. Open air cottage sya. Shared yung bathroom sa cottage namin, pero may isang cottage, may sariling CR. De-buhos yung toilet. They have spring water for bathing and rain water for flushing. Old-school, old-style. The staff wasn't very fluent in Tagalog but they always served us with smiles and did their best to understand our makukulit questions and requests.

I was insisting on a pa on staying in Claver (makulet lang naman ako, hehe), but Sir Tata recommended to stay in the island na. Buti naman naconvince nya ko. Sabi nya, wala daw magagawa din sa Claver. Parang tama naman sya.

Day 2 - Bucas Grande Island tour. We had our piyesta breakfast at 6:30pm. I swear, sa dami ng pagkain na naka-serve, hindi ka na sexy sa swimsuit mo. hehe!

Tour tour. Back to Cinnamon for Lunch. Then we packed our bags. Club Tara, dapat Hidden Island pero kulang sa time.

Afternoon transfer to Socorro.
Overnight in Socorro at Island Vacation - dorm room A/C - Php 250/pax/night.


Ayan muna for Bucas Granda. Tamad pa ako mag-blog. Sisipagin din ako soon hehe. Daming backlogs na.

^transfers from where to where?  may mga nababasa kasi ko na yung iba sa tourism office nagtatanong for the tour and transfers, e.g. Hayanggabon port to sohoton tour.  may mga mabibigay na sila sayong boatman and rates for the tour.

would anyone know where to stay near claver town/hayanggabon port?

meron na rin bang nakapag-stay na sa cinnamon island?

sorry, di pala clear yung post ko.  from hayanggabon port to socorro where club tara is.  kasi, if via club tara, 3k per way for 2 pax yung private banka.  baka lang kasi may cheaper pagdating namin dun...any feedback is appreciated =)

^sis, you can check yung tourism office, magbibigay naman sila ng suggestions. or maybe you can contact yung mga boatman na naka-post numbers dito.  siguro sa kanila mas cheaper kung ihahatid kayo sa club tara.  nego nyo na lang din if ever.

I sent an inquiry at Wave Cave resorts in Siargao.
They offer Sohoton package tours; ang per trip nila is 5k, balikan na yun, so if malake kayo na group, i think ok na rin yun.
I might avail of that tour na rin kahet 2 lang kame, atleast I dont have to worry about all the different transfers between Surigao, Socorrro and then Siargao.
If may gusto maki sabay samen since per trip naman sya PM nyo ako, my trip will be on the first week of July.

Hi everyone!

I was looking for furniture designs then I saw this brand called Dedon. I searched for it and found an island resort in Siargao called Dedon Island Resort. I browsed their website and found out that they charge around 450USD per person per night! Wow! Pero grabe parang super relaxing yung place, inclusive na dun sa rate yung food, drinks, massage, activities. Super expensive pero relaxed ka talaga kasi wala ka na babayaran once you get to the place. You can also ask their in-house international chef to teach you how to cook. Nakakapagod ang surigao trip ko this holy week, parang penitensya na rin, hehe. Fasting pa dahil halos di kami nakakapag lunch ng matino. In 5 days, 5 provinces din yung napuntahan namin!

Nasunod ko naman halos yung IT ko except for Enchanted River. Kanina lang namin yun ginawa instead nung saturday, kulang na kasi sa oras. Bali imbes na relax na sana kami sa Britania, e medyo sinakto namin yung tour tas di pa napuntahan yung naked island kasi maalon. Pagkatapos s Britania, byahe ulit papuntang Hinatuan. Save the best for last, hehe.

Sa siargao naman, bucas grande tour, grabe ang cute ng mga jellyfish! Sobrang kakaibang experience yun. Buti na lang tinuloy ko etong tour kahit di na kami nakpag General Luna sa siargao. Si kuya vincent pala kinuha kong boatman sa bucas grande tour pero parang pinagkakitaan nya kami ng husto. The last minute tinext nya ko tas tinanong nya ko kung ok lang ba raw na mag join samin ang another couple. Thinking na magiging divide by 4 yung charge nya samin na 3,500 (all in tour except food), pumayag ako. Yun pala 3,500 din siningil nya dun s couple n nag join samin. Bali sa isang boat, 7k agad, 4 lang kami. Tas sa kanya na rin namin pinaubya ang lumch. Ang mahal, 350 per head! 3 types ng ulam, puro fish, isa lang malaki. Worth it sana kung may hipon, hehe. Naisip na lang namin na holiday kasi kaya double pay, hehe. Charge to experience na lang. Kinuha na lang namin # ng boatman na nag-tour samin na "tao" ni kuya vincent. Ibang group kasi ang sinamahan nya, busy ang lolo nyo.

sa accommodation naman, kahit walang prior reservation, may room vacancy naman sa revlun pension house (claver, surigao del norte) and juliann's inn (butuan). Sa La Entrada naman, may prior reservation kami at kahit gabi na kami nakarating dun, may nag assist p rin samin.
