UK Visa

Share ko lang, nag apply ako ng General Visitor uk visa last march 3, nagavail ako ng sms service nila then kinagabihan may nareceived akong notification. March 11 may tumawag sakin agent siguro sya or immigration officer may mga tanong lang regarding sa application. I attached kasi yung leave form ko sa work and stating there na I'm pregnant. So far ok naman yung interview. Then march 12 nag text and email na ulit vfs for dispatch na daw yung visa ko. Kinabukasan march 13 nadeliver na agad yung passport ko sa bahay. March 15 travel na agad ako, currently andito pa ako sa UK.

On my cases sis, I submitted our application last April 13. Availed the sms service but did not receive any notification at all. I had to call pa to find out kung na receive na ba ng embassy yung application namin. On April 27, I received an email from the embassy na processed na ang application namin. That was around 9:00 in the morning. Same day, I received the text from VFS na pwede na ipick up yung passport the next day. Got our visas today

I have a question pala. Sa application, I informed them na June 12 at 5:00 am ang arrival ko, kaso parang naisip k, haggard naman masyado kung diretso pasyal na agad after a long flight. Is it ok if I change my flight to June 11 arriving in the afternoon? Para may pahinga naman kami ni hubby. 6 months naman validity ng visa eh, or I should call them for change of dates?

^sis summersky no need to inform them. Kung hinde masusunod yung date na nasa application mo. Sakin nga March 28 pa dapat yung date na nasa application form ko and wala parin ako nabook na plane ticket. Pero dahil narecieved ko naman mas early yung visa ko nagtravel narin ako ng March 15 pa lang.

Thanks sis worried lang ako kasi baka maka affect sa future appications ko kung di ko man nasunod yung declared dates ko.

^nung nagaapply pa lang ako sis nagwoworry rin ako, kahit nga yung checklist na may iccheck ka if orig or photocopy yung ipinasa. Nakalimutan ko nicheck ko lahat orig. Haha pero sabi ni hubby ok lang yun, guide lang naman daw. With regards to travel dates ok lang rin daw mag adjust yun hinde naman makaka affect sa magiging future applications natin, basta pasok ka sa date na valid yung visa mo ok lang mag travel anytym. Ang return ko nga sis sa Manila sa June 5 pa dapat, pero pina rebook na namin ni hubby ng May 13.

good morning mga sis, ah ok so pwede pala call for confirmation na nareceive ang mga docs sa embassy.. di na ako tumawag eh and i didnt avail any of the services they offered

its the 10th day of waiting na ngayon hopefully may good news na ako mareceive

on my last application, october lang ang nailagay ko na travel date, but then bumalik ako and stayed for a month last december, baka isa din sa nakikita nila kaya matagal ang processing ng visa ko ngayn

^ I don't think that's an issue naman, the turnaround date usually varies per month because of load. Usually madaming applications from March-May

A decision has been made on your application and your documents are being returned to the Visa Application Centre (VAC).  You will be contacted again by the VAC once these documents have been received and they are ready for you to collect. If you have chosen to have your documents couriered to you, these will be despatched by the VAC once they have been received.

If you have chosen to have your documents couriered to you, these will be despatched by the VAC once they have been received.

yes sis, kahapon lang ako nakareceive ng text from vfs at kahapon ko din kinuha.. i thought di ako mabibigyan..

napansin ko lang, hindi picture na naisubmit ko ang nasa visa, but instead yung picture na kinuhaan ako while doing the biometrics

well so much happy na din ako.. at least granted pa din

hi mga sis. when applying for a UK visa (business visit), kailangan pa ba ang travel/health insurance? I checked several blogs and the VFS site and wala naman siya sa requirements but I just want to make sure.

Hi Sis, no need na for travel/health insurance. Here's a note on their application page when you log in:

Immigration health surcharge: paying for UK healthcare

If you're applying for a visa to work, study or join your family in the UK for more than 6 months, you may need to pay a healthcare surcharge (called the 'immigration health surcharge')

Visitor Visas

This healthcare surcharge doesn't apply to visitor visas. You don't need to do anything.

Mga sis, meron ba sa inyo who applied for business visit (short term, 6 mos) visa? I'd like to know if mahirap mag-apply or may mga nade-deny.

btw, do they say sa emails or texts if the visa is approved? or malalaman mo lang when you get your passport? kasi I received an email stating that "a decision has been made..."

I received another email from VFS:

"The processed visa application for GWF reference number -  was received at the UK Visa Application Centre on 6/22/2015 .
If a courier service was purchased from VFS Global, your processed application will be delivered to the chosen address.

If not, your documents can be collected during the designated passport collection times."

I did not avail of the courier option. Should I wait for any other text messages/emails or should I go na to VFS to collect my passport? Does anyone know what time sila nagrerelease ng passports? I checked the VFS site and didn't see any info.

Medyo napapraning lang ako kasi I applied for a business visit visa and ang bilis ng processing -7 business days lang - so di ko matantiya if mabilis ako na-approve or mabilis na-deny.
