I'm waiting for my visa as well. For some strange reason, I'm scared about the decision, I hope it gets approved. My documents are sufficient I think but paranoia's killing me.

Got an email notification that processing of my visa application will be delayed. I am so dying of anxiety and paranoia.

I didn't bother to ask sis, kakahiya naman. Basta if complete documents mo and can show that you can go on vacation then there's nothing to worry

izzybaby Basta may header nung company mo, okay na yun. I've never experienced embassies calling my references. To be fair, my employer's letter includes how much I earn in a year, how long I've been employed with them, and sometimes how long my granted annual leave is and when they expect me to come back to work.

^ i just confirmed with our HR that they were contacted by embassy. may dry seal pa yun COE ko, original signatures yun pay slips and I work in a top corporation naman. Maybe because I'm single, young, few travel records, and first time in UK. or maybe depends on who's reviewing documents.
I hope since it has been confirmed, sana ma-approve.

I availed of the priority, today is day5 and wala pa rin feedback. Not fair di ba, I should get refund.

What do they promise with the priority service? If they said decision within x number of days and one day na lang natitira, tawagan mo na!

switblububbles can't think of any must buys, sorry. Twinings tea? Wine? Oh, Scottish whiskey, maybe? Not too sure if it's cheaper here for clothes, or anything. When I go home to Philippines, I find the usual high street shops (H&M, Zara) are quite close in prices anyway, so I don't really buy anything. Oh, M&S is slightly cheaper here, I think.

Look up John Lewis/Debenhams/Mothercare for price comparison for the Avent bottles.

Yes Schengen Visa nalang ako, next week to apply.

For izzybaby, oo nga daming tanong sayo, never experienced it. Anyway priority service yung 8,400 ba? 3-5days ang sabe so lumabas naba on the 5th day? If not then ask for refund kung pwede. Maganda customer service nila. Mabilis sumagot.

Ako din walang marerecommend na "must buys" kasi penetrated na ng UK market ang PH most of the items are locally available. Well aside sa mga branded bags etc, yun may mga mura sa bicester village.

@ gj1206 & glacy_rein, yes 3-5days for P8.4k and they did not meet the deadline. No feedback yet today, end of day na. I don't know who to call, they don't entertain calls daw relating to status.

Anyway, I will wait and wait and wait... Then on the day that I have to claim my passport, I will complain and ask for refund in person.

gateway will only be eligible for a refund if the visa has not yet been processed. A refund
cannot be granted after the visa decision has been completed.

^ finally, got the email that the decision has been made. I am now in the same situation as you a week ago. I hope it's okay.

It's summer there now that's why they are probably getting a lot of applications.
