this thread has been so helpful to me.  first time to apply for a UK visa.

my appointment at the VFS UK visa application center was at 8:30 this morning. the venue is very convenient for me as it's only 15 to 20 minutes away from our residence on a normal day. but given the rainy weather, i left the house at 7:00 am and made it just in time. whew! traffic was really bad.

anyway, it only took me about half an hour from the time i entered the building to the time i finished the biometric enrollment. i opted for the regular processing, which means i have 15 working days before i get the result.

the waiting game starts today.

Hi Mga sis, narefused ang lola ko sa visit visa nya, we want to appeal. The problem is wala naman syang bank account as well as properties. But ang sister ko ang magfifinance sa kanya lahat. Aside sa bank account and properties, ano pang need nya para ma-grant sya ng visa? thanks in advance..

^sis ilagay mo documents ng sister mo and letter kung bakit siya ang nagfafinance... obvious naman lola niyo nga eh so blood related and hindi nanaman nagwowork talaga... dagdag mo pa affidavit of support na talagang susuportahan ng ate mo lahat ng expenses nya.. 3months din yata no bago makapag-appeal?

Question: i'll be in SG prior my flight kasi originally yun talaga ang vacation ko and yun din yung dates na nilagay ko sa application ko kasi naisipan ko lang idagdag yung UK.. so pwede kaya na dun yung point of origin ko? ang laki din ng difference e... (fare price) bale on my way home I will rebook my sg-mnl on the same day so connecting flight ang dating nya.. possible kaya???

honeybee830 You might want to consult/ask around, because I reckon they denied the application based on lack of evidence na babalik siya sa Philippines. That's what they're very strict about nowadays. I'm not saying she's not going to go back, but you have to have strong proof, and that's why they ask you provide for letters of employment, the flight tickets papunta and pabalik, and properties/businesses that ties you back to the Philippines.

glacy_rein I'm sure that's fine, so long as you're in and out within the allotted number of days they gave you!

Sis please check the rules when appealing. I am not an expert but from what I've read before, you can only appeal based on the documents you have already submitted during the time of application. You will not be allowed to introduce new documents to support your appeal. In your case I think it would be better and faster to reapply.

I got my visa finally! it says multiple in the number of entries so it means I can go in anytime for 6 months? I thought its like korea or japan visa where it is just single entry!

how did you girls set up an appointment? do i really have to fill up the form first before being able to set an appointment?

^are you applying from the philippines? if yes, you have to completely fill out the online application first. once finished, it will prompt you to pay online, set an appointment and print out the application form.

i submitted my documents last august 26. yesterday i received an email that my visa will be dispatched shortly. i didn't avail myself of the priority service. nagulat naman ako, parang ang bilis yata. will find out for sure in the next few days.

^onga sis mabilis ngayn kala ko din aabot ng 15days ang processing so for the other wag na mag-avail ng priority service sayang lang pera. hehe!

^i received an email like that last september 2 and today i got to pick up my visa and my daughter's, too. multiple entry din ang binigay sa amin. so grateful.
