UK Visa

^i'm planning to apply sa french embassy for the schengen visa. Kasi I'm working in the same building din naman as the french embassy para di na hassle magpunta and pumila. I can just switch floors. Is it possible to lodge my application to two embassies at the same time?

Pahabol na question na rin. For supporting my financial claims, I'm thinking of submitting the following:
- time deposits: TD certificates
- UITF investments: certificates of participation
- payroll checking account: bank statements (although hindi complete kasi may months na di ko nareceive the bank statements)
- payslips: kulang kulang din pero two to three pay periods lang naman wala
- credit cards: credit card statements printed from my online banking account
- savings account (atm): since wala siyang passbook I am thinking of just printin out my transactions from my online banking account.
- insurance: my insurance policy (aside pa ito sa required insurance for the visa which I will be getting from blue cross)

Okay naman the documents I'm planning to submit right?

hi girls.. my boyfriend will be here next year, like June 2013.. we will have our engagement party pagdating nya, we plan na magpakasal sa UK.. do you have any idea pano ako makakakuha ng Visa at ano kaya best way para makapunta ako dun? dito magpakasal o dun magpakasal? tsaka hindi naman kasi mayaman un boyfriend ko.. nagtatrabaho lang sya as a gardener dun.. help please..

How much is he earning as a gardener? He must be earning at least 20T pounds a year to marry a foreigner.  Getting married here is a better option if you want to work there immediately once you get there.

^thanks for the reply sis. I was thinking baka kasi magahol ako sa oras since mag aapply pa rin ako ng Schengen visa.

I'm in the same situation as you.  Unahin ko rin UK visa and I might pay additional for expedited processing so I get the Visa faster, then apply kaagad for Schengen.

i just finished my application, was there for 1.5 hours and it was a lot faster than when i was there the last time. did the priority application and the lady said i would get my passport back monday the earliest and tuesday the latest.

for those applying on both UK and Schengen, if you are traveling March pa naman and have appointments January, ok lang naman not to do priority. Based on my experience, matagal na 2 weeks. Some embassies (Schengen) would even tell you when the passport will be released.

risky07, i don't submit all of my bank accounts, yung mga relevant and long standing lang. and whether it's an atm account, savings, checking, TD or investment, I ask the bank to issue me a bank certificate para uniform. i only submit my travel insurance tapos ITR is important. family business kami and i'm a manager/partner so i submit docs for that pero wala na akong payslip/employment certificate.

^I'm travelling in June, so I can only apply for both Visas starting March.  Problem is, March-June daw ang peak season, kaya worried ako ng konti.

^ which schegen country are you applying at? may mga countries na mas mabilis and there are some na by default mabagal talaga (ie italy, 1 month even if dropbox). some schegen countries, fixed na naman yung waiting time regardless of the season.

i applied for my UK visa around May for July travel this year, wait time for my visa was less than 2 weeks for your info.

^thanks sis. I'll request nalang din for bank certificates para uniform ang ipapasa kong requirements.

^ do this at least a week before your appointment ha, for the usual accounts, next day mo makukuha or if kakilala mo yung bank kaya naman same day. but there are some accounts na it would take days like i have this investment account from BDO na 2-3 working days kasi from the HO pa. goodluck!

We're applying sa French Embassy.  UK and France lang ang trip namin.

^ French embassy around 5-8 working days lang naman processing nila. better do your french embassy muna then UK kasi mas matagal UK. If you got to the website, may timetable sila on usually how long is the release of the passport depending on the visa category you are applying for.

update: i got an email yesterday that my passport will be dispatched. dhl contacted me this morning confirming the address, today na daw delivery. so fast!

update: i got the family visit long term visa for 2 years! ~woot!

Ok lang ba yon even if my entry point is UK?  We're taking the Eurostar kasi from London to Paris.  So I won't be able to show them any ticket (except ticket going out of CGD airport) when I apply in the French embassy.  You can't reserve tickets sa Eurostar kasi, you have to buy it na.

@melvel, i think its better to get the uk visa first then the schengen. as early as feb you can ask for a schedule for both uk and french embassy. what is important is you get a schedule early to confirm your slot

Hi mga sisses. Just want to update y'all. I scheduled an appointment na for my UK visa thru the VFS site. I chose January 04 as my date of appointment, printed the appointment letter na rin. So now I'm gathering all the other documents na wala pa ako and will be getting travel insurance na rin and flight bookings. Tama di ba, the application form I need to fill up is in the UKBA website?

^ yup! you can save the form for 6 days but if you can't finish it, it will be deleted and have to start all over again. you will also print that form after finishing it and submit it to VFS

^sis, required bang isubmit or gamitin the UKBA BCVS form for requesting bank certificates? I tried showing it to the banks I have accounts in (BPI, BDO) and they are not familiar with the form.

hindi naman, i just gave them the usual bank certificate that the bank issues and no problem i did it with BDO, Chinabank and Metrobank

^ goodluck kahit simple itinerary lang will do, i just places the date and where we are going. i even have days where it was black or relax day lang.

^I grouped lang sis the places which are near each other para naman logical ang itinerary ko hehe. Then again it's my actual itinerary na rin talaga. Tomorrow na my appointment and I'm starting to feel a bit nervous. I think I can defend my application naman and hopefully I can prove my rootedness. Kasi babalik naman talaga ako hehe Pag punta ko nga sa VFS eh naka-uniform na ko ng office because I still have to report for work in the afternoon. Sana saglit lang the application process. I also called na the French embassy for my Schengen visa application and they gave me a February 04 schedule. I guess they're swamped with applications din.
