Our scheduled appointment is feb 15, 9am. Should i complete the online visa application or pwedeng sa embassy nalang namin ipapasa our visa application as a family? Required ba talaga the online visa application o you have a choice whether to do it online or personally? pls help mga sis!

im married to a british national last feb. 14, 2012. then nasa england si hubby ngayon.. [textspeak!] ako sa pinas naiwan kc im pregnant and may due date is on May 5 2012. and may hubby wants me to go there this coming june for a 6 weeks vacation. Then sabay kame babalik sa pinas para sa binyag ni baby..

My questions is:

im still holding my old passport which indicated that im still single.. you think i need to change it muna before applying for a tourist visa? i mean change ko sa married status?

how much usually (approximate) ang acceptable show money? I mean, given na yung "enough" to pay for a tour, blah blah. Someone said 1M just to be sure. But for non-millionaires , how much would it be?

hi girls.. my boyfriend will be here next year, like June 2013.. we will have our engagement party pagdating nya, we plan na magpakasal sa UK.. do you have any idea pano ako makakakuha ng Visa at ano kaya best way para makapunta ako dun? dito magpakasal o dun magpakasal? tsaka hindi naman kasi mayaman un boyfriend ko.. nagtatrabaho lang sya as a gardener dun.. help please..

^ my fiance is also british and we're getting married here this november. after that, we will apply for visiting family visa since we will not relocate in the UK.

for your case, i suggest that you check with the british embassy website for manila. tit is very detailed there and they have all the requirements. i know they have a fiance and spousal visa too.


anyhow, anybody tried doing the visiting family route? would need advice on how to go about it.

omg, 4 hrs?? swerte nga kami! when we entered the main hall our number was called in 10mins. i hope the release will be as quick, hehe. although sabi meron daw backlog ng processing now

yes! grabe, we were there 9am for our appointment tapos we got out 1pm na. we tried the italian restaurant sa baba, it was good

sabi nga nila. ours was 1.5 weeks before it was sent to us pero usually daw dapat 4 days na may feedback na. wait until 2 weeks na lang max.

I'll be joining a tour package kasi, london - paris, then parang 3 days lang ata ang stay sa london, does that mean 3 days lang din ang validity ng visa na ma-grant sakin? so short naman

No, they give you at least a month.  I usually start my Euro trips there too,  then via train thru The Channel & onto  Paris, , etc.
What I like about the UK visa application is you just send/submit your docs & no appearance, they send it back.

I send original bank passbooks & placement/SDA certificates with certs issued by banks that as of this date, my account has x amount, with breakdown per account nos. with both pesos & $ total  amounts check-stamped numbers at the left side margin.  Send your passport too.   

If I send over Day 1 first hour embassy is open, I get back sent to my office on Wed PM my visa approval & all docs submitted.

Just answer everything on their form.
IMO, it is the financials they are after. You do  not have to reveal everything you own or have.  Use your judgment how much to show them.   It also helps to have the bank certs indicate you have been a valued client ever since  year whatever.

I miss The Orangerie at Glouchester Park.  Good food, good service with unhurried ambiance.

received an sms from uk embassy that our visa is ready for pick-up tom! it means we are approved right? hahahaha, the message specifically stated visa ready for pick up, not passport ready for pick-up. i wonder what message you will get if denied?

I'm doing a London-Paris trip next year.  We're arriving in London first, then taking the Eurostar to Paris. 

Is it advisable to apply for the UK Visa first, given that it appears to be a simpler procedure that the Schengen visa?   We're leaving third week of June pa, but considering I still have to apply for Schengen visa, is it ok if I apply for the UK Visa as early as February?

^yes i think its better to apply for a uk visa first, since they give out longer visas then the schengen states

we received our uk visa already and was given 6mos so hubby said we can go back april next year! woooohhoooo!!

^Good for you! Sobrang excited na rin ako (kahit June 2013 pa ang trip namin).  I really want to apply for UK visa now, pero hindi pa daw pwede.
