kami naman "may pera sa basura" ang views namin...literal kaming namumulot ng mga plastic bottles sa mga nadadaanan namin pagnaglalakad or kahit sa mga jeep or fx pag pauwi ng house. especially yung mga plastic bottles na tinatapon ng mga katabi naming office. also those scratch papers na usually crampled then put into trash ng mga officemates ko, i asked them to just put it in one place then ako na bahalang mag dispatch...those plastic bottles and scratch papers na naiipon namin, binibenta naman namin sa junkshop or sa mga magbobote na nagdadaan sa amin...pangbili ng snacks ng mga junakis ko  ;B.

another one is, i have this native basket na pinaglagyan ng pasalubong from bora ng boss ko which i used in bringing those items/orders of my colleagues, since most of them have their own car naman, sinasabi ko nalang sa kanila na as much as possible, im trying to lessen the use of plastic bags, caused lang ng floods yan e if not properly disposed and may mga sasakyan naman sila kaya bitbitin nalang nila...nakatulong pa kami parepareho sa environment   while for my other customers, reuse din ng plastic bag ng mercury, sm, puregold and others as long as pwede pang gamitin

Kami, medyo baby steps pa lang when it comes to being eco-friendly. More on segregating wastes pa lang at into selling yung mga na gather na empty plastic bottles from sodas and toiletries. Minsan nga iniisip kong idonate sa "eat bulaga" because they recycle it and nagiging chairs for public schools.

sis melmedrano - if you don't mind pwede ko bang makakuha ng details ng supplier mo ng solar panel? we're currently thinking of having one. Pero wala pa kaming makitang maganda at reliable na supplier. thanks in advance

^^^ i do that. talagang iniipon ko yung mga plastic bottles, cans. nakaka 10-15 dollars ako per week. mas malaki na namn this summer--nakaka $100+ ako heheh

kami din decided to lessen our carbon footprint, kahit konti lang, kaya when we had our home built last year, we adopted the following:

1. oxygenics shower heads for lesser water consumption
2. big windows for air circulation and natural light source = less electricity usage
3. solar water heater = no electricity usage for heated water
4. led and cfl lights = less electricity usage
5. inverter appliances = less electricity usage

we also use
1. natural cleaning products like messy bessy, etc,
2. organic bathing products
3. reusable shopping bags

One simple thing I do to have an eco-friendly living is just using the eco bag thing the groceries or supermarkets usually promotes. Instead of using plastics when you do your groceries or you shop, use the eco-bag over and over again to lessen the use of plastics.

Also ditched plastic bottles. I take a water bobble with me to work and just refill it in the fountain. It has a filter narin kasi ala Brita kaya okay narin.

Recycling juice bottles etc and then binebenta rin i get about $20 pinapangbili ko ulit ng grocery haha

Nagpainstall narin sila ng solar panels sa bahay pero sa kitchen palang natatapos. Ayos kahit matagaal naka on mga ilaw. Maliwanag pa

LED tv. Laking bawas sa electric bill namin.

Sa mga kids ang binibili naming school supplies yun mga recycled din lang

agree ako sa eco bags  nice incentive din sa fresh card holders ng rustan's supermarket (not sure sa ibang grocery stores) is you get double points when you use their reusable canvass bags.

here where we live, we have to segregate garbage, but we also use biodegradbale plastic liners for compostable garbage.

we chose to buy a newer house that is energy efficient in the materials used (windows, smart meters, heating systems, bathroom/kitchen water fixtures, etc).

we dont buy bottled water, when we go out or even at work or school, we bring our own water using reusable containers. we use britta at home.

we use reusable shopping bags

changed all the light bulbs in the house to ones with good energy efficient ratings

we have and buy only energy efficient appliances/gadgets

we strictly follow time of use schedule for water and electricity

we bring used batteries to stores/places that dispose it properly so that it doesn't tend up in the land fill

we use only cold water to wash our clothes and use the dyer for min 10-20mins max. during the summer months, we line dry our clothes

using also the eco bags of savemore,, and kahit saan ako makarating na mall lagi ako may dala na eco bag para in case may binili diretso na sa eco bag without na those plastics,, kaso my problem is,, sa palengke di maavoid na gumamit ng plastic,,pero in one plastic nalang sama-sama lahat ng fish,,and another plastic for the meats,,

kaso kahit nakaplastic may tendency na mabasa yung eco bag ng sm.
the best thing to do is bring plastic containers na parang lock and lock or use ziploc agad para sealed yung lalagyanan, no spill.
i dont buy soaps in sachet because little trash goes a long way.
when we transfer to our new home, papalagay na akong water filter system para no need to buy those in containers.na merong plastic seals na dumadagdag sa kalat.

after kong makita sa news yung waste sa manila bay last time, I would like to implement first at home the segregation of waste... sana maging successful ako on this. sa ngayon ang ginagawa palang sa bahay eh yung plastic bottles and cans, the rest are put together, dapat maisaayos ang biodegradable against the ones which are not. hmp!

I'm thinking of some ways to recycle the papers here in Dubai kc syang nman ang gaganda p nman ng mga papel n gngmit nla kht sa mga free newspapers nla sna mgng successful me sa pagdidiscover:) kau bka may alam kaung ways like any handicraft from recycled papers.

One pinaka-eco-friendly na tina-try ko lately is trying to become a "minsumer" as opposed to a consumer.

I took an inventory of everything I have and I realized na ang dami kong pinagbibili na hindi kelangan or hindi ko nagagamit that ends up in trash.

Bili ng bili = mas madaming waste.
