Shopaholic novels nga ayaw ko din, yung The Devil Wears Prada binasa ko coz I always look for books na may tag na New York Times Bestseller or International Best Seller, e di ko din nagustuhan, pinamigay ko ata... Another book na pinamigay ko lang na bestseller daw e The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. Booooooooring

oh well you saved me a few bucks. I watched The Lovely Bones kasi and I thought to myself, well, whoever the author of this book is, he/she must really have a good imagination because of the protagonist's "limbo" world. Turns out baka ma-bore lang din ako

As for me, I will never read Cabot ever again. Didn't bore me, well I finished a whole book in less than 24 hours(overnight). Well not to be mean, she has a good writing style naman halatang may pinag-aralan, but there was little to no substance kasi and my time was utterly wasted and I should've slept because my dreams could've been more productive.
Ayoko naman mag-generalize pero as a person who doesn't have all the time in the world, medyo na-trauma nadin ako kaya kahit pati mga Kinsella and the like, ayoko nadin talaga.

No Twilight for me either, poor plot and storyline. But as for Harry Potter, the creativity of the invented names seem promising, so I actually might, when I find time.

Oh and Albom, I've read two of his books, but I won't read him again, I find him insincere and "all about the business", and I'm disgusted at the possibility of him using Mr. Morrie for profitable purposes. Dan Brown is the same, but at least Dan Brown is actually a skilled writer.


I'm a bit discriminating when it comes to books, unlike sa movies na very high ang tolerance ko, so madami pang iba.

Agree with The Lovely Bones. It was a drag. Having said that, I can't classify the novel as a definite, "don't/never read" as some people I know enjoyed it. I thought the movie was good too, considering how painstakingly boring the book was for me.

me too, i will never read twilight. just reading the "cheese" overload make me cringe. no offense to fans. besides, i am a hardcore dracula fan kasi. hehe

LOL Harry Potter Series totally got me addicted! Grabe para syang drug na you cant stop. Binasa ko sya nung bored na ako sa bahay since halos complete collection ni Mama.

Anyway, the one series i wont read EVER after being nauseous is th Sleeping Beauty Trilogy ni Anne Rice. Was expecting good exciting erotica when bought it at a bargain store. Ilang pages pa lang e nanlumo na ako. Grabeeeeee syaaaa. kasi more on S&M and dominatrix type of fetish. As in hardcore talaga.

i will not read stories of anne rice na may "sex" contents. kala ko lang dati kung ano yung beauty series niya i read one book. grabe napaka dami ng sexual contents tapos nakaka pikon basahin kasi nga may violence din.. hay sayang pera ko dun. siguro chapter 3 pala ako tinigil ko na.

^But have you read a book then later on ginawang movie? What's your take on this? Kasi majority of the films na ginagawa, ibang iba sa book. Obviously, mas maraming laman ang book than a 2 or 3 hour film hehe

syempre, mas maraming laman ang book. yung 5-10mins ng movie, 1 page lang yan sa book eh.

at saka maiinis ka lang lalo na if you have read the book first. kakabitin. parang na-distort yung kwento ng movie.

I will never read the twilight series of S. Meyer!

Even before all the hype of the movies, I was so excited to finally got a copy from the bookstore ng twilight. Last copy na nga daw yun kaya sabi ko meant to be pa. But when I begin reading it, gosh........... pinipilit kong tapusin dahil nanghihinayang ako sa money na binayad ko and wala kasi sa bokabularyo ko di malaman ang ending. Kaya ayun after twilight nag google na lang ako para malaman yung ending ng buong series. What a waste of time...

Stephen King's Books - I remember reading one of his books (can't remember the title na), ilang pages pa lang nangingilabot na ako and di ko na kayang ituloy.  Napaginipan ko pa!  Pero that was a long time ago, try ko nga ulet just for the sake of knowing kung ganon pa rin ang effect sa kin.

I used to read tagalog pocketbooks pero bata pa ako nun, medyo ok naman pa ata kwento that time pero sobrang bilis lang basahin, I think you can finish one book in less than 2 hours tamang pampalipas lang ng oras.  I tried reading one about 3 yrs ago, iba na..ayoko na sya kasi ginawa na nilang taglish, corny tuloy.  And the stories are too predictable.

^Sabi nga nila nakakakilabot si Stephen King so pinatulan ko yung Full Dark, No Stars niya kasi according dun sa Powerbooks SA na nakausap ko eh kinilabutan siya esp. dun sa 1st story na pinatay yung wife. So ako naman na-intriga. Susmio, di naman ako natakot. Medyo na-engotan pa ko dun sa husband na pumatay eh kasi di man lang pinlano haha
