^that is so true! mag-post ka lang ng travel pics to share your experiences, humble bragging na daw. kaya ako rin, most of my posts are only shared with real friends.

hayst. kahit naman ata ano gawin mo sa social media, may masasabi parin ang mga tao. ako, i just learned to care less. and ayun friends ko is real ones lang talaga. pag di ko feel i-add, i dont. compared noon.

^^media lead us to consumerism. naging marketing strategy narin kasi ang status symbol etc. dagdag mo pa yung social media. though unintentional, of course most of us want finer things in life. wag lang sobra sobra.

sis Annie M., yes true yan. mahilig pa naman kami mag staycation ng family ko. hindi ko talaga intention mag humble brag, my friends/batchmates and i just want to share feedback regarding hotels, fine dining restos etc. sa fb. buti nalang na imbento ang algorithm ng facebook na lilitaw ang posts mo sa friends na mas nakaka interact mo. lol.

I've been keeping brown paper bags sa drawer sa office. Like, kapag bumibili ng snack sa 7-11. Napansin ko sobrang dami na palang paper bag sa drawer ko. so ni-stapler ko sila and ginawa kong notepad. Dati ginagawa ko to, pero nakalimutan ko. Now, ibabalik ko ulit yung habit. Pag nag-issue ulit ng notebook sa office, hindi ko na kukunin. I think minimalism din ito.

Someone I know also uses these brown paper bags para sulatan at kulayan ng toddler nyang anak, instead na bumili pa nung mga sketch pad.

I think husband and I are in this category already. Both of us came from simple families kaya siguro na-adapt na rin namin. I read with the provided links ng mga sisses here na having no TV is considered minimalism. Eversince we got married and moved out on our apartment, we only have basic appliances and TV isnt incuded. So it's like 6months without TV. Nakakapanood lang kami when we visit in-laws or my parents. My say on 6months wo TV? During breakfast and at night, we have more meaningful conversations, more time to discuss our plans and more time for ourselves Galing!

re: social media esp on FB, we also apply minimalism on this part especially me. Whenever I have the luxury of time, I unfriend friends on FB. We also post meaningful photos only.

^ wow, I love that! We have a TV but we cut our cable and don't really use it anymore. My husband bought it more than 10 years ago so that's why we have it in our living room. If ever we do move to a bigger place, I doubt we'll buy a new TV.

I've been doing sporadic purging of my FB as well - unfriend people that I really don't have any communication or relationship. I unfollow people whose posts flood my news feed with too many pictures. I don't want to unfriend them but maybe one day I'll get to that point

I also regularly purge my closet/storage and let go of stuff that I haven't used in a long time.

The new feature on FB where it notifies you that you became facebook contacts with a particutlar person is useful for me. I unfollow whoever pops up na I don't talk to anymore.

Can't help but comment -- siguro kung nagka-apocalypse lang ako mawawalan ng TV because I'm a total TV addict. The TV will be the last to go, LOL!

I know several people na wala silang ref. That's another thing na medyo I don't think I can live for a long period of time without having. Iniisip ko kasi na I want cold water all the time, so...

Nakita ko yung mga units nung ibang neighbors ko. Minimalist decor. Talagang maaliwalas tignan yung mga apartment nila.

^me too, TV and cold water! lol. for me, medyo magastos pag walang ref, tendency is to eat outside or fastfood nalang kaya mapapagastos ka rin talaga... not so minimalist living for me.

I still have appliances that I need in my everyday life, I just do not let myself be consumed by materials things. Most of our appliances have been serving us since we got married. I just do not feel the need to buy new ones unless masira. I'm slowly purging out my closet and will try the minimalist wardrobe. Totoo, ang daming decisions that we have to make in our everyday life, I want choosing what to wear be not one of them.

Kami naman ngayong magkaka baby na, tinatry namin maging minimalist sa pag aalaga ng baby. Marami kasing items na binebenta sa mga infants store na hindi naman talaga essential sa pag aalaga ng bata. I got a pack and play for the baby from olx.ph para madaling idispose. Nakatulong ka pa sa environment kasi di na mag add ng additional brand new kalat sa mundo.

Di rin kami bumili ng diaper bag kasi marami naman available bags sa bahay. Bumili lang ng ako ng bag organizer (200) tsaka diaper changing mat (125). For 200 pesos lang, pwede pa gamitin later sa ibang "non baby" purposes.

Di na rin siguro ako bili ng rocker since mayroon akong kahoy na upuan gawa sa narra na umuuga. Customized for toddler size pinagawa ng lolo ko noong bata pa ako at balak ko talaga i pass on sa anak ko. Babalutan lang ng mga comforter at pwede na niyang higaan.kelangan lang hintayin yung kaya na niyang isupport yung head niya.

^yes, j.adore, i am planning to use cloth diapers. And have been researching about them throughout my pregnancy.

During a surprise baby shower, among the gifts i received from friends were  4 cloth diapers and several inserts of various brands and types.

As advised, I will be trying different brands first before building a big stash. I have started to buy different brands of cloth diapers: 1 Bum Genius, 1 Baby Leaf, 5 Alva,  6 Chino Pino and 6 Next9 since my baby will be reaching her full term this Thursday. Most moms say that cover types are better for newborns since they poop and pee round the clock but I have hygience issues regarding cover types.

Before nagdeactivate na ko ng FB tapos nagcreate ako ng bago, add ko lang talaga yung close. If ever na-add ko yung semi-close lang, nasa acquaintance sila. Pag nagpost ako na gusto ko lang close makaalam or makakakita, friends except acquaintance yung option ko.

Pag puro selfie ang post, unfollow or hide post then see less post of (insert name)

i am trying to adapat minimalist living ala ZEN style.. and as i try to keep all my stuffs in order.. i am trying to apply the konmari method the author's name is Mari Kondo a japanese writer.

I've purged clothes already and skin care pero shoes, bag and makeup eh hindi pa. Parang nanghihinayang kasi ako but I guess lesson learned na lang talaga. Sa susunod, kailangan pag isipan mabuti bago bumili.
