^sis around 300k, discounted na yun kasi we personally know the designer/contractor. Of course mas mahal pag townhouse. IMO if your house is done by a pro kahit konti or 2nd hand furnitures lang ilagay mo maganda, minimalist and not cluttered tignan. :)

Our house is very minimalist just a few displays and  frame then sofa, tv then done! no complications no clutter that disguise sometimes as a displays.  We have everything per section, like toys, school supplies, gadgets and chargers, shoes and bags, eyeglasses and ponytails and headbands, and jewelries and watches, all are in section and I have assigned a committee that is designated to organized it and everything is in order, or if  we are looking for it we know who to ask and refer to.

Minimalist is making it less complicated less clutter and easy to manage house.

My husband and I live in a small one bedroom condo so forced to minimalist living kami :) At first nahirapan ako when I moved in with him but now I see the value in it. We get to save a lot more because we don't spend on stuff that we really don't need. Now, every time I want to buy something, I always think about it because it's just additional clutter in our place.

Planning to do thing "MINIMALISM" this year, 2016.

I accidentally read an article regarding this. Then I realized I need this in my life. I'm a very sentimental person that's why it very hard for me to dispose some clutter in our house. I tend to keep things in our house and keep it there for as long as hindi sya naisisira. I still have all the stationary collection way back elementary days. I'm already 30 y/o today and can you imagine kung gano na kadami ang mga naitatago kong gamit/damit? Feeling ko kasi i can use it in the future. Which is di ko naman nagagmit hehe.

Me and my husband wants to try this.

Mas naexicite pa ako when i read, no actually listen to the audio book mo Marie Kondo. The KOMARI Method of decluttering and tyding up :)

Planning to start and apply this very soon. :)

We turned the smallest room into a walk in closet. Before we moved in, we promised to lessen our abubots kaya lang wala pa kami 1 year sa new house e parang di na makahinga yung bahay sa dami ng gamit. But first I have to control yung impulse ko sa pagbili ng unnecessary things at pag hoard ng beauty products. Adik kasi ako sa lipstick minsan I buy 11 lipsticks in one go. Si hubby minimalist naman na eversince kya I know na ako talaga ang may problema. Kanina umaga while cooking breakfast I destashed na yung fridge namin. I put into a clean plastic bag yung mga half consumed powdered juices, salad dressings, veggies na 1 week na sa fridge (na I know I have no intention of cooking). Later when the garbage collector pick it up he can easily sort out kung meron pa sya gusto kunin kasi hindi naman expired yung mga food. That way hindi ako masyado guilty of throwing out things kasi I know ma ibang tao na makaka appreciate. Starting today I''ll make it a habit to declutter our house kahit pa-unti unti hanggang maging clutter free and stress free na ang bahay namin. Thank you sissies for inspiring me to do this.

^^yes sis, i believe in that too. less things, less emotional triggers. i am a very sentimental person but decided to throw away some things with sentimental value (like letters, clothes and gifts) and i felt like i've moved on. lol. as of now, hindi naman ako nanghihinayang, i've even forgotten the things i threw away. now i got used to throwing away clutter. ;D

Kanina umaga while cooking breakfast I destashed na yung fridge namin. I put into a clean plastic bag yung mga half consumed powdered juices, salad dressings, veggies na 1 week na sa fridge (na I know I have no intention of cooking).

share ko lang na yung ref namin is small, as in it fits under the counter like this picture http://p-fst2.pixstatic.com/507db5dfdbd0cb1a9c0002a5._w.1500_s.fit_.jpg

dalawa lang kasi kami. we initially designed this to save space in our condo, but it gave us unexpected benefits.

una, walang napapanis na food. we shop every 2 weeks or sometimes weekly. nauubos namin, walang half-eaten. kung may tira-tira na gulay, small amounts of meat, or kahit sauces na nag-eexpire, i whisk them all into an omelet.

second, we eat healthy. walang temptation to overeat kasi halimbawa, we can't buy a big tub of ice cream kasi di kasya, so we just buy a pint and share it. we can't buy a whole cake kasi di kasya, so pag may gusto kami we just buy two slices.

third, tipid sa kuryente :)

so many benefits to minimalism talaga.

^kung sobrang dami ng cosmetics/beauty products, please note yung shelf life of each item.. bka kasi pag masyado na madami, di na mamonitor kung ok pa ba or not

I was in a very unhappy long term relationship before and now that it is over andame ko realizations like how I would find an excuse to go out on weekends and buy whatever or I have to buy something whenever pauwi na ko from work. Now in retrospect I realize I was merely compensating for the lack of happiness I felt before the truth was I had no plans and intent of marrying the person I was with but I couldn't leave him at that time    so buying and shopping filled a void talage. Now we are no longer together I feel free in a sense na now I can plan and save and now I have no need for so many small things like damit or make up I would only use once. I am really looking forward to starting a minimalist living this year. I Hope I can maintain it.

Our current house is not really small, but we live with my Dad (kasi he's alone na since my mom died ten years ago). So, andaming things - his and ours combined. But, when we moved here, my Dad commissioned someone to make a bodega sa likod ng bahay, na may kasama na ring maid's quarters. But, still, I find na medyon cluttered talaga 'yung house namin. Especially our room. But, I do try my best to organize everything at least once a month. I buy small organizers na puedeng maging furniture na rin para multifunctional and hindi magte-take up ng malaking space.

My dream house is a condo unit na minimalist talaga. Not too much furniture and decor. Just the basics lang. I want nga sana one color lang - like light blue or white, pero gusto ng husband mo meron namang konting color daw. :)

my husband and i practice Minimalist Living not just with our things but also with our life. isa na yung things we post at social networking sites. we also make sure we are only connected with 'friends', pag medyo malayo na yung connection or mga nega relatives, we filter them. this is for our security at para iwas-chismis na din.

some people (not within your wavelength) think you are showing-off things if you post at fb, ig, etc. pero pag friends mo lang nakakakita, at least they know you just want to share your life with them. and at the same time, you only want to see interesting posts from your friends at your news feed.

Last weekend, I watched an old movie titled Chloe and Theo.  I'm not sure if they showed it here in Manila before.  It was about consumerism and how it is destroying the world.  Here was an eskimo who came to NYC so that he can bring some warning to the people.

Well, he observed that people in the city has this "nature of consuming devouring and wasting.  Never happy until there is none left."  and he was right about me and most of us.

At home, I was raised to throw out or give away what I don't need.  I used to complain that my mother would give away clothes and things that I have kept to other relatives.  She said that she hasn't seen me use it for so many months and years.  It's time to let it go.

Now that I live on my own and I have my own family, I do that to our very own stuff.  Our house is so small that in order to keep it in order :D  I have to buy the things that we only need and should last for a very long time.    The little space we have should be occupied by the things we truly need.  My kid has so many toys.  I didn't buy any of it.  People are just so generous when it comes to her happiness. But, she actually need playmates instead of those toys.  So I end up giving those toys away.  I keep the ones that are for pretend play and mental stimulation.  Otherwise, she can get her fun with her friends or iPad.

We really have to reuse or recycle.  Even if people have a lot of money, we shouldn't be wasteful.  Some people hate people who waste money, those who pay so much for so little, those who splurge (and shows it off - unintentionally, of course).  But I hate people who waste materials more than those who waste money.  I hate those who doesn't finish the food they just bought (especially in buffets) :D or leave electric equipment on or water running for no good reason.
