Is there a way para maiwasan ang food na nakatiwangwang for longer time sa fridge? There are so many food sa fridge. Or much worse, na-expire na without knowing. Is there a way how to avoid this problem? Minsan kasi, hirap magkalkal sa ref sa sobrang daming nakalagay....

^ never heard of one, sis. Yun ref na ata yun way to preserve food.  The only thing i can think of is prepare just enough food for the meal. Sa ibang bansa, meron nang movement to stop food waste. Still not a concept na uso sa atin. Dito kasi parang fiesta kung magluto. Hihi

ref namin halos walang laman hehe. now na wala na the husband and the in law, i get to control what to prepare lang. i ask the helper to buy eveyday from the market ng enough lang for the day. malapit lang kasi market sa amin. for vegetables naman, we have our vegetable garden kasi. iniisip ko nga ano pala talaga dapat nakalagay sa ref? sandwich spread hindi naman need nasa ref. fruits hindi ko rin nilalagay sa ref.

Can't do this because we're 6 people inside the house so madami talaga food. May kasama kaming bata sa house. Malayo kami sa palengke at need trike and jeep bago makapunta dun. Laki ng pamasahe so we need to buy all enough for 1 week. Mom can't recycle these because wala nang mai-rerecycle.

We rarely use the TV kasi meron naman phone and laptop. Wala din sa list ko yun sa bibilhing gamit when I move out.

About food sa ref, you can have a list there sa door ng ano yung pinasok na food and when it will expire. Paper muna old school hehe or if you can afford it, digital list in the reef door.

Clothes bags and shoes ang kailangan ko let go.. I buy clothes cheap to justify shopping. Retail therapy but not good some pieces mga once lang usage.

Anong minimalist living ang i-apply kapag may baby? :-) May suggestions kayo?

So far ang naapply lang namin is yung mga nagbibigay na damit na kakilala namin, ginagamit namin sa baby. Instead of diaper, nakapanti lang lagi si baby with lampin para tipid sa diaper. Hindi ko lang alam kung ano mas magastos kung nakaganon or diaper, kasi syempre may ginamit kang sabong panlaba and tubig everyday.

^sis try cloth diaper sa katagalan mas sulit and less basura.
* since mahilig ako sa tea, I make my own tea (lemon grass tea, mint tea) then yung tira or second boil ng leaves pampaligo kay baby, mabango na anti-lamok pa. kahit na yung tea bags, after ko mainom i put in hot water for the baby's bath water.

*almost weekly ako magdeclutter ng damit, shoes and toys ni baby. i donate or pamigay sa friends na may younger babies.

*i prefer biscuits na nasa cans or tubs para once empty, i use as paso for my herbs.

* i prefer using crushed leaves (mint, basil, rosemary pati thyme) as anti-lamok sa skin ni baby,  pahid pahid lang, organic na libre pa hahaha. i also put these plants near sa nilalaruan ng kids or sa windows.

*i used to have tons of bedsheets and pillow cases, now that older baby is using her own room, i make sure she only has two sets of cartoon bedsheets and pillow cases, wash and wear n lang. the rest ng sobrang kurtina, bedsheets and pillow cases pinapamigay ko

i just notice lang talaga na kahit na anong pamigay ko, parami pa din ng parami gamit namin.when i gave away bedsheets or curtains, two new sets will be given to me as gifts or padala from abroad lols

Yep, we're using cloth diapers too. What I mean is, hindi kaya mas magastos kasi syempre, you should clean it using detergent, water and etc. I'm thinking if nakakamura pa ba.

I'm interested to hear more about the things you decided to live without and exactly how much stuff is enough for you mga sis?

List of things you can live without perhaps?

More ideas please :)

Hello mga sis I have been practicing  minimalist living for years.
minsan nakaka hurt kase I see myself as on a practical side.

Why should I? We're all trying to make a living and it's not like I have money to just spread around.

Kesho ayaw ko magpa-print ng tarpaulin for a children's party kasi basura lang yun after (and sorry, ang tacky i-display sa bahay): "no fun" na ako. I didn't want to give straws with drinks because they're such a wasteful, single-use plastic item that stay forever in landfills: ang kuripot ko naman and I don't think of the customers daw. And like I posted before, ayaw ko tumanggap ng mga used things ng in-laws ko because I really don't have use for their clutter: ingrata na ako.

Anubah, stop with the stuff. There's just so much STUFF.

Count me in 😊 may pagka practical na ako ngayon unlike before nun wala pang family. Kasi madali mag depreciate yan after ilang months or years eh wala na hindi ka na in ulit hehe. Pag walang extra, kahit may occassion, tiis tiis muna. Naghahanap din ako ng medyo murang private school kasi i believe na hindi porque mahal ang tuition eh maganda na ang quality ng education and for me mas ok mag invest sa college.. Pag sa clothes, bags and shoes naman i tend to buy pag sale at yun mga classic styles kasi para matagal ko magamit. Sa shoes lalo, classic styles and basic kasi sa isang taon mga once or twice lang ako magshop.. Most of my personal stuff naman are gifts from friends and family kaya ok na ok sakin haha

Nasasayangan talaga ko when we do that sa office tapos for a 1-day event lang. Sa mga nagbibigay naman ng gamit (used or not), if they ask me kung magagamit ko ba, I really tell them na hindi. If they don't ask naman, I just accept tapos bigay ko sa mom ko for her to donate to other people.
