I have a minimalist lifestyle and a minimalist home.  When you have a minimalist style, it's free of complications, clutter, confusion and distraction. I want my life to be just that -- simple and streamlined.   It’s calming, and liberating, and just amazing.

I'm in the middle of a home clean-up. Super daming gamit sa bahay. Dati kasi medyo pack rat ako, pero now, sinasantabi ko na yung mga sentimental value na yan para maitapon ko na yung mga dapat itapon. Grabe, tatlong balikbayan boxes ng mga basura ang nahakot ko, pero ang dami paring kalat!

Patapos na sya, pero hindi ko pa matuloy kasi biglaan ako pinauwi sa probinsya. But when I get back tatapusin ko, post ko before and after. I'll also post all the crap that I managed to organize. (Yey, another topic pegged for my blog. Thanks to this thread.)

Goal ko sana, lahat ng gamit sa bahay alam ko, yung tipong kahit isang brochure lang, alam ko kung nasaan. Ayaw ko yung gamit na nasa bahay na walang purpose.

I am glad I found this thread. At the start of the year this was my resolution - to practice minimalism especially with the materialistic things. Kasi when it comes to friends and activities I don't go out often except lately kasi na homesick housemate namin kaya gusto labas ng labas. other than that I only stay in the boarding house on weekends.

Lately I have lost track on trying to keep my things at a minimum. Been on retail therapy this month plus sales here and there that it's been so hard. This thread has inspired me though. Sana I can read more about your thoughts mga sis.

Gusto ko narin maging minimalist, paano ba mag start? Maglilipat kami ulit ng house and mas maliit ito sa current namin, sana naman magkasya at matapon na ang mga di na needed na gamit.

Plan namin ni boyfriend na minimalist lang kami when we get our own home, kasi malamang condo yun na may enough space for the two of us. Pero feeling mahihirapan ako sa dami ng gamit ko. LOL

hi mga sissies..i am happy to know na may mga girls pala na gusto rin ng minimalist lifestyle. share lang ako ng foundation kung saan ninyo pede i donate used clothings, shoes etc..

now when my sister and i travel i don't buy souvenirs anymore. lalu na yugn mga shirts na di ko naman nagagamit kasi parang pandagdag na lang siya sa bahay. kaya puro pics na lang ang kinukuha namin space saving pa.

just sharing my thought lang baka may makakuha ng idea.

simplicity is beauty ika nga..
am not a mall-goer and i only go to malls if i really have to buy something, pero kapag nasa mall na'ko i can't stop myself from buying stuff that is on sale. 

minimalist house- i'd love to have one in the near future. i'd be more than happy to adapt minimalist living..

boyfriend and i moved into a studio apartment recently with nothing except our clothes.

its been all sorts of awful and awesome living the "struggling bohemian artist" lifestyle.

i have stopped asking my parents for any financial support, which i've never done before.

we've acquired 3 electronic appliances from our friends: a toaster, a small toaster oven, and a water heater. --- so, we're limited to coffee, ramen noodles and buttered toast ... unless we "splurge" and order chinese or pizza.

we function with our laptops and decent wi-fi.

we don't go clubbing or partying or drinking. the only vice we've spent money on is weed.

most of our money, we pool together and save for our future film projects.



its the kind of life that you've probably seen on "Rent"... minus the AIDS.

Yey, I'm, finally done with the cleaning of the masterbedroom. Actually, yung makeover, d pa tapos, pero super laki na ng difference. Mas maaliwalas na sya, wala na kung ano anong mga gamit na nakakalat. I threw away old picture frames, plastic drawers & thingies, and everything else.

Siguro I'll also do this with the rest of the house... unti untihin ko lang. mahirap maglinis kasi super dami naming naipon na useless junk. Sana by nextyear, minimalist living na kami.

hi, almost half na kami sa pag furnish ng house namin - which we swear to be minimalist. Our 3 bedroom house already have the following:

- built-in cabinet (without doors - its a long story) per room with 1 dozen wooden hanger each cabinet
- 2 queen sized bed (one sofabed na lang ang kulang)
- 1 air cooler (1 aircon na lang ang bibilhin namin kasi may isa pa kaming old unit, ililipat na lang)
- Ref and stove
- TV, Home theater placed in TV rack

dining set and sofa na lang ang kulang, then we're all set na! :-)

we really hope na ma-maintain namin na konti lang ang gamit and live simply.

since lumipat kami sa new condo namin naging mas aware kami sa needs namin versus wants. before kami lumipat, ang dami namin inalis na mga gamit na nakatago lang but hindi naman namin talaga kailangan.

good for you mga sis.. minsan talaga may advantage ang pagtira sa tamang size lang na house. pag malaki kase we tend to fill up all the space.kaya ang ending bli ng bili.

correct ka dyan sis, kami nga after maset-up yung nabili naming dining set, naisip namin na shoe rack at sofa na lang talaga ang mailalagay namin sa living room kasi masyado ng sisikip... tipid din pag right amount of space lang ang available.

this is the direction we are heading. within the month, our family of 3 is going to move in to a 45.5sqm 2-br house. there is no room for unnecessary stuff. 

zen habits and becoming minimalist blogs introduced me to the idea of minimalist living.

I'm recently trying to adopt a mentality that goes  hand in hand with minimalist living. It's making sure I splurge more on memories.

Makeup, clothes, gadgets... doesn't really give you something to remember by. Pero yung dinner with parents, travels, gift to partner, I feel comfortable spending on.

Also, FACEBOOK. I don't log on to facebook as often anymore.  I log siguro once a week to check messages and pictures of my brother and cousins abroad. Sobrang nakakaweighdown ang facebook and nakakaaksaya ng oras para tumingin ng mga update na hindi naman mahalaga sayo.
