eto out of curiousity lang, if sinabing minimalist living, ilan lang usually bags ng mga babae? kasi diba minsan, too many bags na rin tayo

^if you can do with one, why not?!  it doesn't have to have a strict number.  ako kasi i go to different functions/activities, so i have to have something that suits whatever or wherever-that-is that i am attending.i don't have two of each kind though.

pajoin mga sis. i got married last december 12 and being married made me think alot of things.. isa na dito ay kung pano kami magiging minimalist ni h2b.. minsan naiisip namin na before maliit lang sahod namin happy na kami.. ngayon kahit pano malaki na sahod namin compared before pero parang ala naman kaming naipon. instead may mga utang pa kami.. unti unti kami umiiwas sa gastos ni hubby.. bihira na kami mag mall ang kung magmall man we eat na sa bahay para tipid. mahilig kasi kaming kumain sa labas.. yun ang binabawasan namin. napansin ko kasi minsan isang kainan nasa 1k na magagastos namin.. e kung maaga ka sa mall you eat twice or minsan mag snacks pa.. so pag lumabas ka mahina na ang 3k na gastos sa pagkain, gas and parking.. si hubby naman iniiwasan na magbuy ng basketball shoes.. sobrang mahal naman kasi.. each pair would cost 6-8k minsan.. tapos would last lang mga two years. nakakapanghinayang.. siguro we would just classify ano yung pang laro nya na pwede laspagin and ano yung pamasok. may mga tips pa ba kayo pano maging minimalist? para naman we could save for our future. sa ngayon we have paid off some of our credit cards. nagamit kasi namin nung time na may sakit ang mama ko.. hopefully nextyear mabayaran na namin lahat so that we could start saving. this year, i promise not to buy anymore stuff for the house. I don't have a helper now so I did most of the cleaning at home and I did a bit of decluttering. most of the things we have are kept in cabinets and left unused, others naman serve no purpose. I will try to declutter more this week and from then on, I will not buy na.

ako yung mga winter clothes and everything na winter related--i donate it. tapos yung mga ibang things na appropriate gamitin sa pinas, pinapadoor-to-door ko.  madami akong kamag anak na mahihirap, sa kanila binibigay ng tatay ko.

well actually you have a point. living simple is the best way and that's what i'm trying to do right now. being contented with what you have. i will not buy things unless i really need it.

ako minimalist ang mindset ko simula pa lang nung bata ako... yun ang nakamulatan ko sa mom ko, yung tipong 1 school shoes lang every school year tapos may isa or dalawang pang simba or pang alis. ganun din sa damit, bibili lang pag kailangan.

pero nung nagkawork na ako, medyo napahinga ako sa pagiging minimalist, syempre sarili ko na yung pera ko, at feeling ko i deserve some luho, hanggang sa dumating ng time na sobrang dami ko ng shoes, as in lahat ng kulay meron ako, pero parang kulang pa rin at gusto ko pang bumili ng bumili. tapos nag sisimula na rin ako sa pieces of jewelry noon.

buti na lang nakilala ko yung husband ko ngayon, since we started dating, napansin ko lang na hindi na ako masyadong interesado sa mga sapatos. Hanggang sa unti unti ko na nakalimutan, at ganun na rin sa ibang bagay. siguro kasi he makes me feel secured kaya hindi ko na kailangan i-fill ng material things yung emptiness ko (something that I was not aware of before).

because of that, yung wedding namin, simple lang, pati yung wedding dress ko, at halos lahat ng components nung wedding namin, pati yung start ng pamumuhay namin bilang magasawa ganun din. ngayon pati sa anak namin ganun din kami.

we want him to witness a simple but happy and secured life with us. its not easy but we are determined to try and try and try. :-)

i am currently reading Leo Babauta's blog on minimalist living --i've dealt with clutter at the office, at home and esp. my mind   :Dit's worth it

to declutter,i gave up my old set of monitor, cpu and cp to a mother who used to work for us on temp basis, she has 4 kids, two are going to high school. The head of the family is on and off working on contractual basis. They dont need to pay rent(utilities are paid by her inlaws) in a community thats been abandoned and underwater since the 60's, its the local venice version.

me too. i wanted to be a minimalist. pero di ko pa kaya ngayon. hehe.but i'm trying. i love things!!!

di ako mahilig sa branded na clothes, nanghihinayang ko sa price. and pag may binili ako, nagbabawas ako ng gamit. binibigay ko sa relatives yung ibang gamit at damit namin, (mamimili sila pag di nila need o gusto, pinamimigay naman nila sa probinsiya). yung baby stuff na di gaanong nagamit, nabebenta ko online.

di rin ko mahilig bumili ng display sa bahay kasi feeling ko kalat lang at dagdag pa sa lilinisin ko.

di rin kami mahilig sa gadgets, kung ano lang need namin yun lang binibili, pag di pa sira, di pa namin pinapalitan.

Since I transferred to a new job, I started doing this, too. Pretty funny, though. Now that I am earning more, I spend less, and somehow want less. I think being content and living simply is really the key to this.
