we had an impromptu overnight trip to tagaytay last april 14. color coding sasakyan namin kaya nag commute nalang kami. we didnt have any reservation,so we decided to stay at 5R, right beside keni po. we just got the fan room (P800), since we'll be staying out the whole time. the room was ok. with tv, bathroom and our very own veranda. we were also provided with fresh towels, soap and tissue. may pool din sila. we had lunch at mahogany. bulalo of course! sarap talaga especially when its steaming hot. we ate at one of those carinderias. bought some pasalubongs. went back to 5R to get some afternoon sleep. around 4pm, it was starting to get cold, we went to good shepherd to buy ube jam then head straight to people's park for some photo op. there's not alot to rave bout that place. napabayaan na kasi. sayang. we also went to one destination, for some more picture taking. hehe..... ang ginaw na nung gumabi. nag take out nalang kami ng food from one of those popular fastfoods for dinner. sa 5R na kami kumain. di na nga namin ginamit yung fan kasi super ginaw na talaga. morning the following day, we had breakfast sa veranda. ang lamig, sobra. parang kakatamad tuloy bumalik ng manila. haha... before heading back to manila, we dropped by at rowena's and bought thousands worth of tarts. worth it naman kasi sobrang sarap. for me, winner yung blueberry cheese tart. very flavorful and hindi sya crumbly. di talaga nakakasawang pumunta sa tagaytay.  lalo na pag tag init.

tagal na ako di naka pag post dito.
anyway,will be going to tagaytay this may 7-8 with my parents....ang tagal ko na di nakapunta dito and itll be our first time to stay overnight. Ang daming new places to stay and restos to try.nahihirapan ako tuloy magdecide and gumawa ng IT.
any suggestions for accomodations?

Currently vegging out here in Tagaytay allergic ako sa buffet and then traffic's phenomenal outside. Anong gagawin ko dito hahaha!

Seriously, the influx of vacationers so far remains manageable. Even the queues on food joints are tolerable and one can easily be seated among restos famous here in GT. Hotels and apartelles still have vacancies even for the one's near Rotunda, surprisingly.

i want to go to pink sisters and lourdes this weekend but i'm kind of hesitant because of the heavy traffic. sana kumonti na mga tao by sat and sunday or is that wishful thinking? hehe.

Any affordable accomodation na may spa nearby? Or may spa in the place? Yun kasi gusto gawin ng parents ko eh. Okay rin kung may pool for my siblings. hehe.

Hi girls! My boyfriend and I are planning to celebrate our 4th anniv in Tagaytay next month. Kaya lang we can't decide if we're going to stay overnight (Sun-Mon) or day trip lang (Mon) talaga. We have work din kasi and nag-fall ng Monday yun anniv namin. But at this moment, we have decided to have a day trip instead. Alis na lang kami ng maaga ng Manila. Do you have suggestions on where to go since it's a day trip lang? Thanks in advance girls!

Hmm you may try to eat breakfast sa Antonios, very romantic yung place and tahimik.. Tapos pwede kayo pumunta sa palace in the sky if you wan to see the overview of tagaytay. Ok din to try out spas if gusto nyo magrelax, try Nurture Spa. suggestions lang [textspeak!] to..

I went to tagaytay and was pleased to say that RADIANT STAR APARTELLE has hit the bill for me. Though you cannot expect much from a simple apartelle, the rooms were clean, the bathrooms were clean and they have pretty much what you need for a night in Tagaytay.

The affordable price was great too. I didn't have to spend much to get a good night's sleep. The place was quaint and it was near most of the hotspots in Tagaytay.

I would definitely go back there!

I have come to warn you about something.  I went to Tagaytay with my family last weekend and OMG! I had the worst time in there because of RADIANT STAR APARTELLE. Though, I have researched and prepared well for my trip in Tagaytay, I was not expecting this kind of service.

When we first got in, I thought, this was a nice place. It was fairly clean, the rooms were spacious and there was even cable TV. Not bad, for the price that we paid. The surroundings of the hotel was pretty, they had blooming plants and a charming staircase that they could boast of. There were ample parking, and it was good. I thought I could rest easy and enjoy my family weekend. But it all ends there.

Though of course, knowing that this was an apartelle, I did not expect any kind of FIVE STAR HOTEL Service, I was expecting at least some hospitality.It would be really nice if you can actually talk to the staff there but they were rude and didn't want to speak to us. We had a problem with the cable and none of the staff seemed to know what to do.

We understand trying to employ people who do not have much of an education, but this is down right ridiculous. At least have a bit of formal training with your staff and tell them to not avoid and run away from customers when they want to talk to them. We couldn't even find the manager at the time. It was very frustrating for me and my kids.

On top of that, we found roaches in the bathroom and we had to pay PHP200.00 for comforters that should have been in the room in the first place. I was looking for a glass that should be in the room, but we couldn't find any. Water pressure was weak and we saw a tiny mouse on the floor.

Apparently appearances were not everything.


I guess when I was looking for "cheap." I got cheap. We couldn't even have privacy there, because the curtains were see through and my kids suffered from stiff neck from the TV which was wall mounted wayyyyy above eyelevel. HELLO!? It's wall mounted and secured too high to reach as if we WOULD actually steal the cheap TV.

And what apartelle boasts of cleanliness when they don't even have Trash Bins in the room?! Is it brign your own trash-can?



I was frustrated that night and decided to move to another bed and breakfast the very next day. Checking out was even a pain. Apparently no one knows how to converse around there.  Frustrating and annoying and don't let their "clean" appearance fool you.


I will never go there again. 

Please sisters save yourself the trouble and don't ever go there!

Either you are with the Apartelle or youre out of your mind. We hated the place and will never go there. The staff itself were nincompoops and though yes, apparently they were somewhat clean, the amenities were not as nice. The room service was even disgusting! However if you just want to sleep I guess it would be tollerable.

Just been there.  Medyo mainit na sa tagaytay. as in hot lalo na around 3pm. But tagaytay never fails to remove my stress.  Food tripping. Bag of beans and meron na rin palang rowenas. Plus may massage place na rin near magallanes. Ok ba ang ayutthaya thai massage dun?
